First time here and wanted to try out the infamous ube pancakes. The BAE benedict was pretty good but my poached eggs were over cooked. The ube pancakes were awesome and ube sauce with coconut chunks were a nice touch. The place looks modern and family friendly. Coming from the Bay Area, I have high foodie expectations and I’d come back every time.

Stopped by after work with some coworkers after working night shift. I ordered a lilikoi mimosa and had the Bae Benedict. We also ordered a plate of ube pancakes to share. The wait staff was very attentive. We received our food and drinks quickly and they even provided us with containers for doggie bags without us having to ask. The food was delicious, I want to go back and try more things!

I haven’t been here in years. When it first opened, it use to crazy busy unless you went early. But it was nice to revisit this place because I forgot how good the food was. When I first came, I’ve had the Kim Chee fried rice and the red velvet pancakes, both of which I both liked. Today, I went with a friend and we had the Ube pancakes, the fat pig fried rice, and crab cake egg benedict with hash browns. Let’s start with the Ube pancakes. One of my cousins said he didn’t think it was all that great. But actually this was the best thing we ate out of the three. It was drenched the Ube sauce. They were soft, fluffy, and sweet, but not overwhelming sweet and not bland. If you Ube or Filipino, you must try it. The crab cakes were good and on top of some toasted taro bun and also came with two asparagus. It wasn’t too dry. We decided to get it with hash brown. It was pretty well done. This wasn’t too bad. The fat pig fried rice was ok. The meat was some shredded kahlua pork and it was dry. It was topped with some sliced scrambled egg and topped with one piece of chicacaron. I think it was missing like either an over easy egg or gravy. Probably won’t get this again. Had the guava mimosa and the Mac nut latte. The Mac nut latte was so delicious. If only it was refillable. The guava mimosa was okay with champagne and guava, but I don’t really drink mimosas, so I’m probably the worse one to judge. Would definitely come back again, but next time I’ll get the Ube pancakes and Kim Chee fried rice… yeah…yummy.

Honestly, this place is over priced for the quality of food that they have. Don’t order their lattes! They are served in a very small cup, when they used to serve them in a cup twice as large and they charge close to 6.00. For it. Rip off! They have pretty Décor and lots of sweet dishes, but it’s not worth it. I used to refer friends to eat here all the time! But, now will never go there again.

First time visiting this place! Our server was very friendly, made sure we were taken care of. I would say this place is popular for their Ube pancake. I was very skeptical about ordering the stack of pancakes since I’m not the type to smother my pancakes with syrup but the Ube pancakes are to die for! Not too sweet and the topping is not too much of a coconut flavor. When i say its not too sweet i mean the flavor doesn’t make you feel like you just had a bag of candy. Also ordered the Red Velvet waffles. The taro cream cheese topping they include really pairs nicely with the red velvet waffle. The cream cheese is fluffy like butter not does not have a strong cream cheese flavor-which in my opinion was great! Again, not too sweet! All in all, i would come back to try the other dessert like waffles they have on the menu.

The food here is absolutely delicious. If you don’t mind waiting for average 30 – 45 mins for a table, then you’ll get a great experience. Dishes are $ 10-$ 15. Workers are good at refilling water or coffee! Customers are well attended to. The waffles are light and fluffy, not heavy like other restaurants, you are full without the gross feeling as if you overate. The Ube pancakes are delightful, you get 5 five inch in diameter pancakes! Just like the waffles, they aren’t as heavy as other pancakes. The sauce is poured all over the pancakes, but it is the perfect amount and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like things too saucy or sweet. The coffee is playing drip coffee and $ 4.25. Not worth it, but it does have free refills. It’s just not worth spending $ 4.25 on, in my opinion.

Our friend brought us here to try their food for the first time. The service was great and friendly. The one item that really stuck out here was their prime rib loco moco!!! Soooooooo freakin good!!! A couple other options is their ube or taro pancakes and fat pig fried rice. Taro is usually very dense but their pancakes have the flavor but are also nice and fluffy and the ube sauce is also really good! It compliments the pancakes very well! Their fried rice was really good and had lots of bacon!!! Nom nom nom!!!

Best F****in breakfast in Honolulu — I concur completely! Finally got a chance to sample the goodness from here :)Not sure why this place isn’t 4.5 stars. Staff was attendant, but not over bearing. Portions are definitely islander sized — you’ll be lucky to finish half. Main — Prime Rib Loco came out a perfect med rare/medium without me asking. This was the ultimate spin on the classic, not your baby brother’s mashed up favorite! There was so much flavor without being overly seasoned. For desert — Red Velvet waffle with ube coconut syrup. I Haven’t had anything like these before — they are wonderful. Yogurstory is a couple of blocks north east of Alamoana Mall, so if you are anywhere near there, make the trip. You must come early though. At 0800 on Saturday, there was already a 1 hour wait. If you get stuck in the queue WAIT!!! It’s worth it. Bring at least one friend so that you can order a bunch of things and share.

With so many brunch places popping up lately, it’s hard to go to a restaurant and not have to wait in a long line or not feel rushed to leave cause you see a lot of people waiting to get in. So when a friend wanted to get together at a place where we wouldn’t need to wait or feel rushed, yogurstory came to mind… And let me say, it was the perfect place to enjoy a nice breakfast with a dear friend and catch up for hours. I truly appreciated our waitress who was so friendly and always assured us we don’t need to rush and kept on refilling our water and coffee. It did get pretty crowded but because there are so many tables it was ok we were lingering till lunch time. As for the food, it was okay. I had the crab cake Benedict which was good, but the potatoes were cold like they were sitting out for awhile. My friend had the oinker and enjoyed it. But I have had better food elsewhere… but if you want to avoid waiting and feeling rushed this place is great!

The Ube pancakes here are seriously to die for. Not only are they incredibly photogenic, but they taste amazing. We also ordered the red velvet waffles, which were also good and very nicely presented, but could not compare to the pancakes. The ambiance was nice, the interior is spacious, and the servers kept refilling water. All in all it this is a great brunch place. Nothing to complain about!

It took a while to get a table when there were many tables available is why I’m only giving 3 stars. I definitely came for the ube pancakes and was not disappointed one bit. I was hoping to have a mouthful of flavor once I took that first bite and boy, it was so good! The sauce was not too sweet and it went well with the starchy pancakes. I found myself drooling about these damn pancakes the next day. I need to go back!

Arrived around 9:38am, there was a five minute wait before we were seated, on the second floor. Service was prompt and courteous. Ambience was pleasent, not too loud. The food itself was good, but what stood out the most, which I think was something everyone had a plate of at their table, was the Ube Pancakes. They were delicious. I was tempted to lick the plate, but figured I should refrain. :D. Will return to stuff my face with that again and possibly one of their other pancake/waffle combinations.

As numerous social media outlets filled with gleaming stacks of bright purple pancakes and decked-out waffles will attest, YogurStory’s food is undeniably beautiful. My group of 6 all tried different items, and each plate was wonderfully decorated. While I cannot speak for the weekend crowds, the Thursday morning crowd was no problem. We were seated upstairs as soon as we walked in and the waiters allowed us to stay at our table far longer than we probably should have. The service was great, as our waiter consistently checked on our drinks, filled up our water glasses, and carried on conversation with our group. He was very patient waiting for us to finish our order, so I really can’t say anything bad about the service. As for the food… amazing!!! Just the latte art on the Taro Latte alone would’ve been enough to persuade me to come back! We got the Ube Pancakes, the Chantilly Waffles, the Dulce de Leche Waffles, the Hawaiian LocoMoco and the Piggy Fried Rice. They were all so good, and each plate came with gorgeous garnishes. My one recommendation for the waffles: Pay the extra $ 2 for bananas. The waffles are pretty dry on their own. Both visually pleasing and extremely tasty, the plates here are rather substantial. We shared the fried rice between us and still had leftovers. If you’re hungry, any of the plates or bowls should be enough food. If you aren’t hungry or have a smaller stomach, you’ll probably end up with leftovers. No worries though because they’ll give you as many boxes as you need to pack up your food while keeping it pretty.

Ube pancakes! So delish! The purple coconut sauce that smothers the pancakes is like no other. One of the best thing I had on this trip. And we had a lot of good foods. I had the prime rib loco Moco(replaced the rice with tater tots). It was good but I wouldn’t say it’s great. Service was spectacular. Seating was spacious. Came at around 2:30pm on a Thursday. No line!

My favorite breakfast place of the whole trip. The UBE pancakes were not overly hyped. They’re amazing and the light taste of coconut sauce on top, ugh. I’m drooling. We had it twice and that says something because when I’m on a long trip, I don’t usually like to eat at the same place twice. I also had the pork fried rice and it came with three different types of pork. It wasn’t overly salty at all and had so much flavor. I also tried the Korean chicken and waffles, not my favorite. The chicken just didn’t sit well with me but my friends who I gave a piece to said they liked it. It might just be me lol My boyfriend had the breakfast croissant sandwich both times we were there and with a side of hash browns. He said the croissant tasted so fresh and soft. It was the best one he’s ever had lol The décor here is great. The service is a little lacking. Not a lot of checking in on us for water and etc. and the lady that seated us was a bit rude the second time we came.

I had a lot of fantastic food on my trip to the islands last week, but this was a destination I had to go to simply because of the pictures of the ube pancakes. And they were bomb. We split them into four and killed it in like 4 seconds. If we didn’t have a wedding to go later that evening, I’m sure we would’ve ordered a few more. At that, we did order the red carpet which was fantastic. I had the prime rib loco moco for myself while friends ordered the same dish, dulce de leche waffles, and the fat pig fried rice. All of which were spectacular. The prime rib wasn’t a $ 40 prime rib, but everything from the rice to the gravy to the eggs were just perfect. I washed it down with a guava mimosa which rounded out the meal superbly. I have to come back before I die. Also — fun story. It’s called Yogur Story because the place used to be a yogurt shop. As for where the T went, that’s something that’ll bother us for years.

Seen a lot of posts about this place and their famous food presentation so decided to check it out. Food was great, inventive and original. presentation impeccable and adorable as promised(yasssss). My only critique about my red velvet waffles was that they were a little dry for my liking. Doesn’t come with syrup but rather a light choco drizzle with some cream spread. Seemed a bit dry… still had great flavors goin on tho. Wish I got the ube pancakes – that stuff is doused in syrup! :(and now for the disappointing part of my experience: I was given the wrong check and ended up paying for someone else bill by accident. Was $ 20 more than what my real bill was supposed to be. I realize that this was partially my fault since I didn’t catch the error while I was at the restaurant… still it was a bummer that the mix up happened… someone got off the hook that day and paid for my $ 30 bill instead sigh

I’ve been here a couple of times, and it has always been an average service with good food. Memorial Day morning, the wait was about 30 – 45 minutes for two people. When we finally got seated, we noticed sooooooo many empty tables! It made us question why they had so many people waiting if there’s so many vacant tables?! My boyfriend noticed that a few of the vacant tables haven’t been bussed or cleaned… There were dirty dishes on those tables; some dishes with unfinished food on there. Our server was nice but I felt like he was rushing us. In the middle of our meal, he handed us the check. I was annoyed because I didn’t even get to order dessert(their red velvet waffles which I love)! He didn’t bother to ask us if we were going to order anything else before handing us the check. I thought it was pretty rude, so I decided not to order it at all. Besides that, the food was really good. The hurricane bowl is pretty much Yogurstory’s version of a bi bim bap… Kimchee fried rice, beef, veggies and an over easy egg with a side of hot sauce to mix in. One of the best recreations of a bi bim bap I’ve ever tasted. The Kalua pork loco moco was good… Kalua pork, brown gravy and an over easy egg over white rice. I wish I had substituted the white rice for fried rice… It would’ve made the dish even better! Our side order of bacon was cooked perfectly and so crispy… Just the way I like it!

Breakfast is my favorite meal, so it’s natural for me to have high expectations for breakfast food. It’s also really hard to mess up breakfast. This place is on point with their breakfast. Everything from their fried rice, ube pancakes, waffles, and prime rib loco moco. There’s usually a favorite, but over here, it’s really hard to decide. Try everything! There’s nothing on their breakfast menu that will do you wrong. If I had to recommend something however, treat yourself to the prime rib loco moco. Das da one, guarantee! Their service is always great also. Can’t go wrong with Yogurstory. Tip: parking can get tight. If you own a big vehicle, try to find street parking.

Beautiful restaurant! Looking inside you wouldn’t think what a beautiful gem it is inside. The décor is super clean and modern. The service was great. Our server was nice and got everything we needed in timely manner, but we also got here first thing in the morning. The fat pig fried rice was good, the flavor a were there, but I wouldn’t say it was life changing. Ube pancake was delicious, and definitely a reason to come here and try.

Awesome food! The worst thing about this place is the wait to get a table and the wait for the food. I’ve been here four times and the average wait for food to arrive is about 30 minutes. The portions are okayyyyy. But the food was awesome and the service was good! The kimchee fried rice was really good. Perfect for someone who doesn’t like spicy food. And I think everyone should try the ube pancakes. It looks super sweet, but it’s quite mild and possible to eat the whole thing. Tip: go on a weekday!

This place is hands down one of my favorite breakfast places. Place is clean, nice décor, friendly staff and easy to find parking. Oh and the food is amazing! Lol Ube pancakes: Da bomb. It looks super sweet, but it really isn’t! It’s the perfect amount of sweetness and I don’t like anything too sweet. Crab cakes Benedict: also really good. The crab cakes were thick and I liked the texture of the breading around it. The taro buns were a plus too. My boyfriend had the Kalua pig loco moco which he really enjoyed. I tried a piece and the pork had good flavor and was tender.

Another great breakfast joint found outside of Las Vegas. My gosh, I can’t tell you how long I’ve been searching for one here in Vegas, but they always seem to be outside of my city. Booooo! Let’s talk food!!! We were treated upon entering, always nice. Their indoor décor is beautiful. Looks like a fancy breakfast place, which is nice for a change. I ordered the kahlua pork with rice and egg on top. This was so good, so much better than l&l or aloha kitchen! As soon as I cracked that egg, the yolk started dripping down on the kahlua pork and gravy… EVERYTHING I could ask for! Yums! My boyfriend ordered the pork skillet with tater tots and an egg on top and that was also delicious! The only down side he commented on it was that it’s too hot. Like seriously hot. It was given to him while it was still on the skillet, and he said that sorta killed it, because he wanted to enjoy his food, and couldn’t because it was too hot! After I finished my meal, he was still on his(usually never happens because he usually finishes first!). That’s honestly the only downfall. Dang it, sucks we don’t have a yogurstory in Las Vegas. So take advantage Hawaii!

I’ve always wanted to come here but was afraid of the long lines. Now that all these breakfast/brunch places are popping up, I figured the line shouldn’t be that long — and it wasn’t. There was a wait, but it was only 10 – 15 minutes. I got the ube pancakes, a side of bacon and fried rice. The ube pancakes were delicious and soft. Definitely worth it. The bright purple sauce was sweet and full of coconut flavor. The bacon was not as crisp and kind of floppy. Sorry, I like my bacon crispy. The fried rice was not the greatest. Didn’t have much ingredients in it and was really tasteless and flat. The service was friendly but slow. It took a while for the food to come out, although waters and coffees were filled often. I’d come back again for the pancakes and to maybe try their waffles.

You know what’s amazing about Unilocal? The tips and reviews you read can either deter or attract you to the establishment. Although, if I had a business I would hope for the latter. But do you know what the quick deal breaker is? Those darling little stars. 1 star means, heck no let’s not go there. I don’t care if you’re treating. 2 stars mean, nope, unless I have a coupon for half off 3 stars say, meh should we? Your treat? 4 is a go And when we see 5, our eyes automatically moves to the right to check whether it’s a $ or $$$$. Haha. Ok, so, moving on… this year, I have made it my personal interest and goal to visit those«meh» not so good not so bad places and try to break them out of their mediocrity. I mean you’re either hot or cold. Nobody wants to be lukewarm right?. So here we are. Yogur Story: 3 – 3.5 stars. First experience was with a party of 10 for breakfast on the lower level. It was wonderful. We got seated in less than 20 minutes. Service was great and atmosphere was relaxing. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict and ube pancakes. They were delicious! Second experience was with a party of 3. It was again for breakfast and we got seated upstairs. And I have to say, i really enjoyed being seated up on the second floor. It was quite calming. This time I ordered the pulehu kalbi and eggs and chantilly waffles. Yup, both delicious as well. The only small issues I have here is parking and the wait for the food is a tad bit longer than other breakfast restaurants. But I found that if you have a great group of friends that talk stories and whose face isn’t in their phones, it helps distract you from the wait time for your food. So pick your friends wisely!(Raising hands) pick me! Haha. My conclusion… 4 stars well deserved for Yogur Story. Will be back fo sho!
