The Gallery 301

I am still so very upset with how we were treated! A group of ladies were out shopping in town for the day. We stopped in for a wine tasting and to look through the gallery. We did the tasting and ordered 3 glasses of wine and a can of juice. I left a very generous tip on the amount.
We were walking through the gallery when my 5 year old granddaughter had to use the restroom. I asked the woman at the back of the store if there were restrooms. She directed us to the front of the store. The restrooms had been cleaned for a private event that was going to start later that evening. There was a mop placed across the entrance to the restrooms. The woman working at the wine counter told them that they were NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE RESTROOMS THAT HAD BEEN CLEANED FOR THE PRIVATE EVENT!!! My 5 year old granddaughter was sent out of their store and across the street.
When I found out I spoke to both of the women in the store. There were apparently two more restrooms in the gallery that they could have been directed to. The woman who appeared to be the owner said that they should not have been sent away and that the mop was only put across while the floors dried. That was not what we were told.
I understand not allowing people to use restrooms if they were not customers but I had spent $ 30 and tipped $ 10!!!
When I return to the area I will not even consider returning to this business and I request that you let them know that you won’t do business in a place that wouldn’t let a child use the restroom.
What a horrible way to treat customers!

This was too short of a stop for me. I like viewing good art, and with my art background I always like getting new ideas. To be honest, I only went in because my kiddo needed to wipe her face off after a really good chocolate cupcake from Knead. So I went in, and saw some really cool art pieces. There were some cool sculptures as well.
I grabbed a menu, and they have some local wine options and some different tapas plates with cheese, fruit, olives, some meat and some sweets. This was a really great space, I only wish I had gotten a little more time to spend in there. Maybe another time.

Music, Great wine, food, coffee, tea etc. a reasonable price considering the very cool art filled venue.
We went to the live music Friday at 5:00 PM and had a great experience! Sorry we missed the Sunday live music during the day; (

Great venue, with some really awesome art. They havre wine and coffee’s and some tapas while you’re there. I went and had happy hour here and it was a really casual and comfortable place.

This place is beautiful and the menu small but well balanced. They have only been open since July so I understand why they dont have as dynamic a selection of artists on display there but, it seems off to a damned fine start, Ill definitely come back here next time I am in Hood River.
