The fish fry may have been the best I’ve ever had. The cornmeal-​based batter was just the right thickness. It was perfectly crispy and dry, not greasy, and the fish was juicy, flaky and flavorful. The staff – and even the other patrons were part of what made this place so great. They were friendly and made you feel as welcome as if you had been living in their small town all your life and they knew you. And there’s an honest-​to-​goodness record-​spinning juke box, too. My wife and I will definitely be back many times. Shhh… don’t tell anyone, but we hear they make donuts on certain mornings!

Good fish fry!
We went after a long day of running errands. We were welcomed upon entering, ordered fish fry, french fries, onion rings, coleslaw and then took our food outside to the picnic tables after a few minutes waiting for it all to be cooked.
The fish was great! Perfectly cooked, piping hot, and really flavorful. We all commented on how light the batter was and enjoyed it all. The cocktail sauce had just the right amount of kick and the tartar sauce was deemed good by my son.
Onion rings were really good — real onion, not some chopped or processed stuff.
I really hope this place makes a go of it in Hoosick Falls!
