OK, I have been here before but forgot to share my thoughts so here goes. We had the sweet Tai chicken and Rosemary chicken pizza’s. Wow, I think the sweet Tai is my favorite from now own. The sweet taste along with a slight Tai kick was awesome. The pistachios are what makes this so good. I actually had it on a wheat crust and I couldn’t tell the difference from the regular except it was better health wise for me. The Rosemary chicken was equally good and those caramelized onions could be eaten on anything! The chicken was tender and not dry which tends to happens on most pizzas. The restaurant has a great open setting and is great for all ages. We will be back. Also, go in after ten and the pizza is bogo!

Amazing salad and vegan pizza! Josh is the best server ever! And Josh is the best manager any restaurant could ask for! Such a cool dude! $ 3.50 draft beer, can’t beat that! Also, Tuesday’s are buy one get one free(I was told that’s for pizza and appetizers)! And any night after 10pm you can get a buy one get one free on any pizza ! And they don’t charge extra for toppings! Sooooo much better than mellow mushroom and you will spend less than half $$ plus the food tastes so much better here than mellow mushroom(not to sound like a hater, but last time I went to mellow mushroom, I spent close to $ 50 for a large pizza with a few toppings and vegan cheese). At BRIXX, I get a vegan pizza with anything I want for $ 12! And I get a free one! You CANTBEATTHAT! the food is absolutely amazing and the bartenders are really cool too. I will be back probably 3 times every week. The only bad part is, I’m going to get fat now. But daaaaang, it’s worth it for their pizzas!

First time coming here was last weekend, I asked my friend point blank… «Will this be as good as Slice». She promised me it was, so I got the Caribbean Jerk pizza in a 10 inch. Topped with mozzarella, Gouda, cilantro and peppers. It’s a must try! No complaints, great and friendly service, def worth trying when in the Hoover area

This place serves up some fantastic pizza! The Pear and Gorgonzola salad was quite good, as well… though they could’ve done a better job of balancing the meager amount of pears/gorgonzola/pecans they placed on the greens. The«tiramisu», however, was a real disappointment. It was mostly made up of a horribly rich whipped cream with chocolate shavings.

We tried this place out for the first time last night. We sat outside. It was a bit warm, but they have two fans going on the patio. We ordered the bruschetta for an appetizer and I’m pretty sure it was the best I’ve ever had. My husband and I split a pizza & they will let you make different halves of different pizzas. On my half I got the rosemary chicken and mushroom and my husband ordered the chicken Florentine without feta cheese for his half. When the pizza came to the table, his half has feta on it. We told the guy that brought out the pizza and he went and told our waitress. She came out and was extremely apologetic and told us that she would get them to make a new one. They made a whole new pizza for my husband and she kept apologizing and even admitted that it was her fault. Waiters and waitresses usually don’t do that. It would be easy for them to just blame it on the kitchen. We are easy-going people though, so we kept telling her that it was quite all right. They did not charge us for the extra pizza. Oh, and the pizzas were very good!!! We will definitely be back!

Me and seven other people wanted to try this place last night, we were sat on the balcony and there was no one out there except my friends and I. We weren’t being loud or rude but one of my friends happened to say a cuss word and one of the ladies that worked there walked past him saying«I don’t like that kind of language on my balcony». Okay?, that wasn’t a huge issue but it was still strange to me because there was no one out there but us and we were speaking quietly.(We are all in our mid to late twenties). Anyways, this woman ends up being our waitress and one of my friends asked her if the restaurant had pabst blue ribbon or Miller high life and she proceeded to say«no one in Hoover drinks PBR or Miller» in a very snobbish and rude manner. Well LADEDA! We decided to eat across the street at the Cajun steamer which is awesome by the way. It was just a really odd experience and I wouldn’t recommend eating there just because this woman was so rude to us. I guess she didn’t want our money. I don’t remember her name but she was an overweight older woman with brown hair. Very very strange acting.

I’m really glad I revisited this place the other night! My dine in experience was really nice. I only ordered a cocktail and appetizer, but was really impressed with staff and the look inside. Although, I didn’t order the pizza this time I witness alot of delicious dishes coming from the kitchen and pizza oven. Definitely, will be back to dine in!

I agree with some of the other reviews, Wood fired should be wood fired, I can understand getting it going with gas, need to change name to brixx brick oven. Over all food was good nothing special. Can’t get over the gas fired with some wood in the oven. Just another franchise, The reason I came here was for the wood fired experience.

If Wood Fired Pizza is in your name, your brand, then shouldn’t you cook your pizza’s with wood heat? They throw in a couple of logs I assume so they can claim«wood fired» pizza however make no mistake about it, 60−80% of the heat comes from gas burners in the rear of the oven. The taste and quality of the pizza is pretty good. Decent craft beer selection. Cocktail menu and so on but the gimmick here is wood fired. Seems disingenuous at best or perhaps down right dishonest and they don’t even try to hide it which I thought was odd. I won’t stop going there. It is convenient for us and not a bad pie. I will also not stop correcring people that think this place cooks those pies with wood as the fuel. Yeah, I’m that guy. ;)

Decided to try for lunch. No wait seating. Order taken promptly and food arrived timely. I had the lunch special 4×4(Mozzarella, Parmesan, Gouda & Goat Cheeses with Sausage, Pepperoni, Prosciutto & Bacon) & Caesar Salad. I would definitely have both again. Lots of options to choose from. The lunch special is essentially a small pizza of any type on the menu with any salad on the menu. This will certainly become a staple of my lunchtime rotation.

Great food very upscale and a lot of yummy pizzas without costing alot. The service is the best, Stacey at the bar takes the time to know people what they like and want. Josh F. is funny makes you feel welcome and at home, he gets the food out quick. Great people like Ryan, Chris, and Justin are just a few of the awesome people there. It’s busy but not to busy to get a table or a seat at the bar. Monday night is 2.50 craft beer night with alot of local craft beers on tap. They have a Master of Beer Appreciation club for every visit you get a stamp. My goto place Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. They have other special nights come in and check it out.

My wife and I just stopped by for a beer and an appetizer and I’m so glad we did! We got the bruschetta to eat, she had an Abita Andygator, and I had a Good People Snake Handler. The beers were served in proper glassware and tasted great. The bartender was really attentive and nice enough to let me try a few samples before I settled on the beer I wanted. Check out the daily specials, especially the bogo pizzas after 10:00pm, 2.50 drafts on Monday(except high abv), and dollar off all beers during happy hour(M-F 4 – 6). The bar seemed to be a pretty lively place and we struck up a good conversation with a guy at the bar who is a regular and a Guinness lover. Look for him belly up to the bar on the far left by the draft handles, drinking a Guinness.

This place is tucked into a back corner at the riverchase galleria shops so look for it don’t get frustrated and go somewhere else. You’ll be greeted with smile from the staff as soon as you walk in and have your drinks in front of you before five minutes has passed. All members of this serving crew are outgoing, friendly and aim to please. The Caesar salad is a great start to your meal the Caesar dressing is spot on. You can view the wood burning pizza oven from any seat in the house and the pizza does not disappoint, thin crust perfect cooked with gooey melted cheese on every square inch of your pizza. Did I mention the bar? By far one of the best laid out and stocked bars I have ever sat at in my life. There is plenty of elbow room and they have 24 beers on tap. This place does not disappoint even the pickiest of foodies will have a great experience.

After a movie we stopped here. Sat on the balcony patio that was nice. Service was friendly and good. Started with a few beers and artichoke dip. Both were good. Many offerings in the beer category. Went with the 4×4 pizza it was very good. Crispy and flavorful. Service was still very attentive. Finished with a smores dessert pizza which was good.

BOGO pizzas after 10PM and $ 2.50 craft pints on Monday nights? Sign me up for that! Great atmosphere, plenty TVs to watch the game, and delicious thin crust wood fired pizzas to wash those craft beers down. Check it out, you’ll be back.

Brixx was overall a good experience. Above average atmosphere, great service from our waitress, the kitchen was a little slow, and decent pasta dishes and salad. I will try a pizza next time around.
There were two items that really stood out that I would strongly recommend. First, the draft root beer was outstanding. It had a great flavor and without the carbonation that you get with soda. The Bruchetta appetizer was delicious. The toasted focaccia bread was topped with a huge helping of fresh, chopped tomatoes and slices of mozzarella. It was drizzled with a balsamic vinegarette that made it look like a fancy dessert. Note that Brixx is a chain so adjust your expectations accordingly. I put it in the same category as Mellow Mushroom and California Pizza Kitchen, though less quirky than MM, and more laid-back than CPK.

Service was friendly, food was good and the atmosphere was upbeat! Lots of seating both inside, outside & bar stools and full bar with a handful of beers on draft. We sat in bar stools across from the oven — was fun to watch the pizza’s being made and then get cooked. We ordered a couple of drinks — I chose the lemonade cocktail(mint, lemonade, and goose). It was pretty refreshing but one was enough ;-) Husband got a bottle of bud light(no basic beers on draft). We shared the hummus trio appetizer and a buffalo chicken pizza. The app was good, but probably a bit too filling before a pizza meal. The pizza is a perfect size for sharing(with no left overs) or a good size if you want to order two different ones to try. It does come out pretty quickly, so be sure you’re ready when you order. I would suggest enjoying your appetizer fully first and then order the pizza. Give yourself a few minutes to not be eating something — ha! There are a lot of pizza choices, from basic cheese to more exotic(prosciutto and melon) there is for sure something for everyone. Including, gluten free crust or vegan folks(cheese)! The pizza was pretty tasty… It wasn’t crispy enough for my liking so would ask for it extra crispy next time. I think that would make it a perfect pie! This buff chicken pizza included celery on top. I don’t think I have ever had celery on my buff chicken pizza before, but it was a nice add. It gave the pizza(that wasn’t crispy enough for me) some added crunch that I was looking for! We were pretty stuffed at this point, but a smore’s dessert passed by us and well, we had to try it. It’s smaller than a regular pie, but again, perfect for sharing. Graham cracker crust with chocolate and marshmallows and melted perfectly together in the pizza over. It was gooey, yummy and just delightful. Good service and yummy pizza… we’ll be back soon!

Went in at 12:30pm on a Friday afternoon. Waited at the door for a couple of minutes till someone decided to seat me. They were not vary busy. The waitress was friendly but you could tell she was new due to the lack of knowledge about the menu. I ordered the Bronx bomber, pretty salty but good, It was on gluten free crust. I’m not saying it the best pizza I have ever had but it wasn’t the worst. They have a lot to offer but my restricted diet hinders me from trying more. Maybe someone will find this place amazing. It has potential.
