Back Porch Grill

We liked this place! Sat outside on the back porch and it was a nice view. The mojito was not impressive. Mostly juice. The mushroom appetizer was delicious! Salad was kind of plain, but you can’t expect much from a house salad. We had the cowboy cut steak, which was very good and cooked well. We also had the braised short rib ravioli. The flavor was really good but portion was small. I had to have some of my husband’s steak to feel more satisfied, since I was still hungry. We also had dessert (snickers pie), which was really more of a cheesecake that they poured some chocolate syrup and pecans on. Not that good. The staff is really friendly and our waiter was awesome. We would go again for the service and ambiance.

Megan was our server, she did a fantastic job. The atmosphere was amazing. They have outside seating on the lake. I ordered the blackened grilled chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the the Marinated chicken breast. Both were very good!

Sat outside on the deck and the atmosphere just wasn’t that great. We sat on cheap metal deck chairs surrounded by condo buildings. The service was good and the Moscow mule was tasty. The dinner salad was yucky. The entrees were pretty good though. The stuffed red snapper was very good but my filet was overcooked. Mac n cheese was pretty good. Wouldn’t go back.

We only had apps and cocktails the Saturday of Derby Day before the huge crowd would arrive. The scallops were excellent, some of the best I’ve ever had. The mushrooms were also very good, as well as the cocktails. We liked the view over the water. We heard the bartenders mention that a certain country music singer who had horses in the Derby would probably come by later that night… a Toby K???

By boat or by land, this is one of our favorites in town. Lively atmosphere during racing season and summer alike. The filet is our favorite but anything they have as a special always trumps!

Heard what they did to their own employee where they assaulted her, smashing her orbital socket, chipping her teeth, and knocking her unconscious. I called to ask about what the hell was going on, and the manager ignored the question repetitively. I love to talk about their food, and ambiance, I can’t support a place that abuses their employees and then can’t even own up to their own cowardice. I hope they are out of business within the year.

So far so good ordered 8 ounce tenderloin. Steak was cooked perfect and these eat potato dish is a MUST! I did take the. A few times. The wine list is amazing if they have it all in stock. I think you will enjoy! Cheers

A lot of people love this place. I was not impressed. Went on a date and they were PACKED and we had a little corner table. It was so busy we should have left. It’s loud in there like crazy loud we had to yell to talk. I got fish with a sweet potato and there was no presentation. Just a pice of fish and sweet potato. I was really surprised because I had been hoping for a really nice dinner. The food was fine but not worth the money to me. If I go again I won’t go on a weekend!

Warm and inviting atmosphere with food to match. Staff is attentive and courteous. The owner is a great host. We will be coming back to the great state of Arkansas to once again enjoy their hospitality. Thanks for everything Back Porch Grill.

Food was good but not super amazing. Expensive for the setting and food. Overall would love to see what else hot springs has to offer.

Had the in-​bone tenderloin $ 44 (about 12 – 14 oz.) and 6oz. filet $ 29. Both came with choice of potato and a salad. Ordered the house special blue Hawaiian $ 8 and pink ribbon $ 8.50. Service was fast and accurate. The sunset view over a arm of Lake Hamilton was the best of any bar/​restaurant in the area. (Others face east not west!) Both tender steaks seasoned perfectly. Flavors popping with every bite. Blueberry cheese cake $ 7 and chocolate martini $ 9 capped a delightful dinner evening on a newly built deck with sawdust still on the floor. Careful pulling out. Traffic comes at you both ways pretty fast. Price up there but worth every penny quality-​wise.

Staff was nice opening 45 min early allowing a few beverages. Huge props, staff not really trained in fine dining serving, but its a relaxed place none the less.
Patio had no shade but under construction.
Bone in ribeye was well cooked, crab and bacon mac was earth changing (but rich), crab legs well cooked.
Earnie friendly bartender. So far best food in town.

Really enjoyed dinner here last night. Great service and food with a pretty view. The snapper florentine was delicious, and I wanted some of the wine and cheese dressing to take home. I would definitely go back.

We ate here based on a strong recommendation. The meal started off well with great wine and the crab cake appetizer that was very good. We ordered the ribeye and the mahi mahi special. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The mahi mahi was a server recommendation but was very disappointing and bland. Overall, the experience was just so-​so for a fairly pricey meal.

My husband got the Orange roughy it had an amazing flavor the ranch dressing is really good and homemade I got grilled shrimp with Leon butter sauce it was amazing the service is excellent barely got my drink and he brought me another one he was very friendly and helpful we each got a mixed drink they were both really good highly recommend it his kind of hidden away but well worth it

Nice big place on the water, extremely over priced, I had the 12oz ribeye for $ 28, it was a thin one, good, but I have had better at the outback. My wife had the red snapper, she liked it, but still a small piece for the price. I think you pay for being near/​on the lake, more then the food you order.

We visited Backporch Grill for the first time because friends wanted to go. We had avoided it because the name didn’t draw us in. Thank goodness we agreed to go because the food is fantastic! The service is wonderful too.
Stephanie is a pleasant, friendly, and makes the visit even better.
We only wish they were open for lunch too!

The steak was amazing. The service was AWFUL.
We called for reservations for 7 and were seated at 730 which was fine. The place was PACKED. The bar was full the bartenders kept up and made us feel welcome. We got to the table and our server was the biggest most hateful thing in the place. Never once did she mention horse radish and a Caesar salad was an up charge. The hostess comped us one drink and fussy waitress tapped it on our bill. She should not be allowed to wait tables if they want return customers. Normally we tip 20 to 25%. She got $ 10. She got very short and hateful and we are not those kind of people to disrespect wait staff…
The steak. Sweet Jesus. It was amazing. Very well cooked and seasoned. Don’t get the salad — the ranch was thick. Avocado fries were very good. Super great place for atmosphere and a great steak.
I would go 5 stars but the waitress was nasty and the up charge surprises on our bill threw me off.

Gets just one star because this place is way overpriced! As I have found in most parts of this state, the service was lacking, wait staff was almost as if they had somewhere else they would rather be.
Pass this one by, even the ambiance does not compute with the prices.
