BAMBU

This review is based on the reliability of their hours. They close at 9 and we just went by at 8 – lights out. Last night, we went at 8:45 and they were also closed. Super frustrating. Their drinks are great though, which makes it even more aggravating. We were really looking forward to it both nights.

They close at 930 but I called at 9 to pick up an order. I was 2 mins away. They told me they stopped serving. Misleading.

I revisited this location the other day just to show my current and only boyfriend here’s a place near my neighborhood that actually sells Vietnamese drinks with what he loves
which is coconut milk or anything coconut. Little did I know he wasn’t going to sample the desserts, but instead something way better.
He ordered a strawberry milk tea with blueberry balls. The strawberry milk tea is sweet and super delicious. I kept on trying to sample his drink as it was a lot tastier than what I ordered.
I ordered #6 which the cashier recommended again; I think I ordered the first time, but that’s my mistake. It was the same mundane taste, gross why would I put myself through so much troubles. I didn’t like the panda grass nor the Vietnamese fruits in it. no offense, but fruits are supposed to be sweet, but these aren’t.
The cashier needs to stop recommending the same desserts.
All the tapioca smoothies are pretty pricey still which range to $ 5. I’m used to only spending $ 2-​$ 3 on these drinks.
Oh and guess what they improved the toilet tissue custom; they added three extra rolls, so I wouldn’t have to back up their toilet nor use the paper towels.
The music choice has updated which is played from someone’s ipod playlist. They sure do have some good songs on their iPod.
One thing that they can improve on is to clean the tables, learn how to wipe them down and not just do a half job.
It’s pretty silly that they sell mangonadas here since that is a Hispanic dessert… maybe they have a Vietnamese kind.

It is small and pretty cozy place. Here is a nice soft sofa and some tables for a little company. But I take out my drink every time. It’s awesome drinks and smash! Good service, what is needed for spending a good time? I recommend this place all lover milk desserts.

Really enjoying avocado smash with lychee fruit instead of the mixed fruit. Lady was really sweet. Appreciate having boba tea on steroids except no pearls in this one.

Love the chain. Their desserts are very tasty and healthy for a very reasonable price. A nice spot to sit down with couple of friends. Nice and friendly staff.

Love this place! 1^st time trying it and I’m hooked! The girl up front was helpful and nice. We ended up getting the chai, mango smoothie and a banana strawberry smoothie. Everything taste great especially my chai, sweet but not too overly sweet. Def my fave so far!

This place is absolutely delicious! The Vietnamese Coffee was one of the best one’s is ever had. And my boyfriend got the peach smoothie with lychee jelly (cashier’s suggestion) and they were both phenomenal! Will definitely be coming back to this place.

I’ve been to other Bambu’s around Houston, but this one stood out because of the great service!
Stopped by the other night to kill time before I had to pick someone up from the airport. Being the clumsy person that I am, I accidentally spilled my full drink all over the table and floor. The girl working the front desk was so sweet about it. She kept reassuring me while she was cleaning it up that it was completely okay. Not only that, but she made me a new drink, free of charge. She was happy and bubbly the entire time, and she handled the situation like a pro, which is more than I can say about many Chinatown locations.
Great service! Would definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

A good bubble tea place is hard to find on this side of town. This place is a rare gem.
The ingredients are high quality and fresh. I tried their specialty Che thap cam. It was delicious and had so many flavors from taro to red beans.

What better place to get a cold, refreshing, and semi-​sweet delicacy in the withers of our Wet Hot American Texas Summer than Bambu (shout out to the best summer camp movie, EVER!!!)?
Of the 6 different locations around the city, this particular location is one of my favorites and in my top 3. It’s clean, service is GREAT, the quality and taste of our drinks are consistently delicious, and you’re in and out in a jiffy. What more can you ask for? From the yummy delicacy of the #10 on the dessert menu — Ht lu sng sáo bánh lt — which has a coconut milk base, red tapioca, grass jelly, and pandan jelly – to the mango dazzle smoothie with added tapioca, the choices are endless.
Whether you decide to stick around in their trendy store, sit outside and people watch, or grab and go, Bambu is a must and a welcomed addition to the Hobby area. By the way, if you decide to stick around, feel free to ask for board games to enjoy with your drink — they have a pretty good selection.

This place is great! The girls working were very helpful with my needs and also very sweet. The coconut and avocado smoothies are my favorite!

Favorite bubble tea in town. The drinks are just so creamy and smooth. I find reasons to be near this store just so I can make a detour to treat myself to a coconut smoothie with Tapioca.
Recently had some of my family try one and they absolutely loved it! They generally don’t try anything new, ever! But they have stated they are glad they don’t live close because it may become an unhealthy addition. Not to mention bad for the wallet. :)

Great service! Quick and very attentive! Definitely coming back! I had the café sua da and it was strong and perfect! Just how I like it! And I had an yogurt smoothie with fruits. I’m not sure what the name of the drink was but it was recommended by one of the staff members… It was very delicious! Oh and it’s not cash only! I saw the previous review but I think they have corrected that issue!

I heart Bambu. As a matter of fact I have blown off a date with a beautiful girl so I can get my Bambu kick. I love their fresh Che and of course everything else on their menu. Each time I land in Houston Bambu is always my first stop! I just got to get my kick, forget going home Che first! It’s as addicting as a crack head being denied his pipe. I’m from the northeast and when I have the craving Washington, D.C. Is the closest place. Blond hair girl, short, and pretty… she’s the best! when you see her, remind her how awesome she is because of this review since I can’t being 1500 miles away!

I came in with a friend, broke as a joke, and was going to skip out on the beverages. It had been raining, and the day was already looking down.
But then, I caught a glimpse of the glorious CREDIT CARD MACHINE.
The clouds parted. The sun broke through the dense, humid air. And I blissfully swiped away my savings in exchange for the tasty #6 on the dessert menu.
So friends, fear not. Bambu DOES care about you. You’ll see for yourself next time you visit.

Stumbled upon this place on accident! This place has some delicious drinks! I have never ever tasted anything that had so many flavors combined! I always order 10. Ht lu sng sáo bánh lt — Red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly!
I have no idea how to pronounce that! When I go there i just order the number 10 on the dessert menu and few minutes later I have a delicious drink!
Only thing I don’t like cash only!

I dont have anything bad to say about this place other than the fact that its still cash only! I’ve always gone to the one in Chinatown, but this place is much closer to my house.
I like that this place is bigger and less busy. Theres room to breathe and enjoy my dessert.
The cashier was friendly and answered my questions. I asked for less sugar and for tapioca to be added. Although, the tapioca wasnt added when the drink came out, she didnt give me any problems when i went back to ask for it.
I got the number 18 which comes with pandan jelly, taro and your choice of green bean or mung bean. I get the mung bean. This place actually puts more taro and mung bean than the bellaire location which i like. When i asked for light sugar, it actually tasted less sweet. (Some places dont do so well with making things less sweet). I added tapioca because i love the tapioca at Bambu. They make it sweet with the perfect chewiness.
The place was clean. I absolutely love the sweet smell of che upon entering the store. The atmosphere is bright and relaxing.
I’ve never gotten a drink here, only the che. But i might try a drink next time bc the tapioca place nearby is mediocre. I will be back for sure for more che though! I highly recommend!
