8th Dimension Comics & Games

I’ve been coming to 8^th Dimension for a few years and in my opinion it is the best comic book and gaming store in Houston. Lot of LCS sell one of two ways, (1) selling mostly comics and a little bit of games, or (2) Vice versa– selling lots of games and only a little comics. 8^th Dimension is the only store that has both a large selection of comics/​trades and games! nOt just MTG and D&D, but countless games (most I’ve never heard of or played, so I can’t speak too much on that behalf). If you want to try a game before you buy they also now have a huge game room where you can use the store copy of the game. They have weekly D&D, and MTG as well.
The store is always hosting lots of fun events that make the geek community of NW Houston gather in droves. These events usually are accompanied by incredible sales too! I like the staff they have employed as they are very knowledgable and can give you insight on the newest titles. The store will also give you a discount on new comics if you’re a subscriber. What I love about their subscription service is that you only have to pull one book a month to receive the discount and rewards.
The layout of the store is simple, and it is very well kept. You see people of all ages and backgrounds mingling in the aisles every time you are there, so I find I spend more time than I plan just because the atmosphere is so welcoming. If you live in the northwest part of town I could not recommend 8^th Dimension enough!

Awesome comic book store. Ton of merchandise and varieties. Pretty much you’ll find every comic series you’re looking for. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I get my large pull list monthly, and I really enjoy going there.

In Houston, there are so many comic book shops and you can go to and visit all over the city. The reason I go to this one continuously time after time I think they give you that family feel of comics and really make you feel really welcome. I know that there’s probably places that I can shop that give me better discount but I really don’t see them as viable options because I’ve grown really close to the family over at. 8^th dimension comics. There are really modern comic book shop recently moved into the West Road location and I really like this location because it feels much bigger than the old store. The owner Jeremy, has really good rapport with all the customers and I like the feel of talking shop with comic book owners on a day to day basis.
Bottom line, if you really want a great comic book store experience with friendly knowledgeable staff, not just comics with you but also other things. Then, make your way to 8^th dimension comics, it’s really well worth it and you’ll have a great time.
Be sure to subscribe to your favorite comic book series because trust me they go pretty fast, and feel free to talk to the employees there are really there to help you.
