Super tiny and out of the way. Meaning, if it was located by other similar stores it would be worth stopping in and taking a look. Overall, it’s a small store so there are less chances of finding what you need.

One reviewer mentions that she was drawn into the the place by the mannequins outside. So, apparently«What Women Want»(their slogan) is dresses covered in a layer of car fumes, dirt and Houston pollution. We found the customer service unfriendly too. Save yourself the trouble, and a ton of money, by hitting Harwin Drive. It’s where they obviously get this stuff anyway.

I found this boutique a few years ago while shopping for something to wear to a Sade concert. HAVELOVEDITEVERSINCE! Paula is great and buys things that I am looking for. Prices can’t be beat. She’s very personable and I just LOVEIT!

I give this place 6 months more, TOPS. I have been in twice, and was astounded by the quality of stuff in this cute little boutique(cute on the outside) The dresses(cheap knock off) bandage dresses were easily something you can find on ebay, or Harwin. The jewelry was ALL Harwin stuff with prices raised, and PLEASE don’t get me started on the purses. The customer service was lacking, as the two times I was in there, the two girls(one older woman) was drinking champagne with a gentleman. There are a few cute items, but again, this is stuff I have seen in online stores for $ 25-$ 30. The shoes look very cheap as well. It bothers me that this place would charge more than what the items are worth, and try and pass it off like good stuff. There are SO many other options in Houston for go out clothes, that aren’t expensive, but don’t look cheap either. Also, as mentioned, watch your car when you pull in, poor. Pass.

This review is based solely on customer service. Today my fiancé & I dropped in after the clothing I saw on the mannequins out front drew me in. When we entered the boutique there was only one other customer in the store. She was near the counter along with what appeared to be the only staff member. We walked around and looked at basically every rack and jewelry display in the store. We were never even acknowledged once. It was weird and awkward, as the place is pretty small. After it was obvious we were being ignored, he & I kind of hung back a bit really just to see if the clerk would say anything to us. The ladies were making what appeared to be small talk as they were handling business, but I am sure the other customer would not have minded if the clerk had paused for just a moment to say SOMETHING to us. A simple acknowledgement would have been fine. I decided to leave rather than be temped to purchase anything from a business that doesn’t even SEE me or pretends not to. When we first entered, I noted a slight musty smell & observed what appeared to be water damage on the ceiling. Perhaps it was due to the age of the building, but upon entering and smelling it, I at first thought I might be in a resale shop. Not that its a problem because I thrift shop too, it just that was my first impression. The driveway entrance from Washington is not banked properly, be careful when you pull in so that you don’t bottom out as the bottom of you car strikes the concrete. The slogan«what women want» is a joke. What women want is to be treated with a modicum of respect, appreciation and a basic level of customer service. In summary: hot clothes, cold attitude.

Don’t go here. Or go there see what you want and buy it way cheaper online. The prices are insane and you can find it online for half or even a qtr of the price. I actually saw a dress there and the same one the same week at Ross.

I would give this place a five if it wasn’t out of my price range. The lady working there was really helpful and friendly and the store was filled with styles that I hadn’t seen before. There were a lot of unique dresses and rather inexpensive jewelry. I ended up trying on most of the sales rack and left with a cute sweater that fit me perfectly. Even on the sales rack it was a splurge, but definitely worth it!

Very cute boutique; however, sizing was inconsistent(two smalls fit differently), the quality was sub-par, not enough selection, and the mark-ups on merchandise was unreal! The shoes I wanted(by Anne Michelle) were selling for $ 69.00…checked online — 21.99 to 24.99!!! Don’t get ripped… all the merchandise comes from China and is marked up at least 300%

GREATSTORE!!! This store is one of the only ones I have seen in Houston that is on point with the new trends. Unlike the rest of Houston which is about 2 seasons behind the rest of the world. Quality of clothing is higher and the price is very reasonable I understand that with stores like H&M and forever 21 people would like to pay less but you have to pay for quality. In the long run it saves you money. If you think the clothes are horrible it is just because you are way behind in fashion trends give it a year you will be wearing the clothes that you see at this store but about a year too late.

This place gets 5 stars for quality clothes and amazing customer service! Owner Paula travels around the world to pick up one-of-a-kind pieces for a price that you can’t beat. For instance, I picked up a ruched black, asymmetrical jeweled shoulder minidress(a la Balmain, retail $ 3k+…) for around $ 100. There’s no skimping on the quality either — all my dresses have held up perfectly through rainstorms, wine spills, and those crazy bar nights… I’ve sent friends over to Affection for all sorts of ocassions(weddings, school dance, mardi gras parties) and they always leave with a smile on their face. Paula is super sweet and is always willing to help you pick out a head to toe look for that special occasion. If you like trendy, stylish clothes that fit you like a glove for a reasonable price, Affection is the way to go. The best part for me is that I don’t have to worry about 10 other girls having the same dress as me– Paula doesn’t buy more than 3 dresses of each style. Affection also has some pretty amazing jewelry pieces and accessories. Recently, Paula added shoes to her collection, so be sure to grab a pair on your way out! One last thing– there’s also complimentary wine for your sig other while he waits for you to get through the goodies :)

I love this boutique — it’s definitely a hidden gem in Houston! I came here around the time when it first opened and was impressed by how neatly everything was organized and how there were only a few pieces of each item. What you find here are pieces from all over the world — I recognized some of them from living abroad in Japan and let me tell you, they are divine. For such great pieces that you probably won’t see your friend wearing and for a reasonable price — this shop is definitely worth checking out. I came out with 2 pieces of jewelry — the ring I wear all the time and always get complimented on and a necklace that I can wear a hundred different ways. I will definitely come back.

Affection’s slogan is «what women want». Affection has got it. Cute and inexpensive clothes, one of a kind. Think along the lines of H&M, meaning cheap price points with current fashions. Had a great sterling silver and costume jewelry selection and very cute accessories. I didn’t find anything on my first visit, but I will be back to check it out again!
