Good quality film processing for pretty much any type of film and the turn around is fairly quick. Not overly pricey. They can do same day if you get there early enough. Very happy with the service and have been using them for a couple years now. I can’t comment much on the scanning and printing service, as I do not use them. I scan and print all of my negatives from home.

The developing was good, and turnaround was very quick, but the 35 mm scans are a little pricey for the quality, more than 20 dollars a roll for 2 megapixel scans. I’m all for spending more for quality but 2 megapixels is pretty much unusable. I’ve gotten 28 megapixel scans for less than half the price, although of course the turnaround was much slower, but that is usually not an issue for me. I really want to support anyone that still develops film, but I also need scans that have at least enough resolution to fill my retina MacBook screen, or make a decent print.

I found an old box of even older negative of varying sizes. I had quite a hard time locating a place that would be able to develop them at all let alone for a good price. When I called Aker, they told me they were confident they would be able to help, to bring them in and we’d discuss specifications. I’m kicking myself now that I don’t have exact names of the women who helped me, but they were both absolute gems. Very helpful and kind, as I was completely clueless to how these little odd shapes would work out. They told me what they could do and gave me pricing. Now I can’t tell you if their pricing is high, however, because I was so thrilled to be having these negatives developed they could have charged me more and I would have gladly paid. Regardless, I’m pretty cheap, but I didn’t feel as if I was being overcharged. I had so many, however, that printing them anywhere would have been costly, so I did a few at a time and it worked out perfectly! As well, I never priced anywhere else because what I received was so great, I didn’t want to risk anyone else handling them. They were worried about some of the darker ones, but I was willing to give it a shot, since some of these may unlock little mysteries in my genealogy. They were not able to get all of the dark ones perfectly, but I could still make out all of the images, so I was very happy. And the ones that were easier to develop were wonderful. Each little odd shaped negative was fitted to an appropriate print size. Exceptional quality, quick turn around! I highly recommend Aker, especially if you have old or sensitive materials. The very knowledgeable staff instilled in me full confidence before I left the shop and it only got better upon pick up. I do not live close by, however, they will exclusively be developing all of my negatives!

Aker Imaging was recommended by the guys down block, Camera Coop. I needed a place to develop medium format and 35 mm. I’ve had film developed here and the quality is nice and they offer a quick turnaround. I will be back again!

Great place to get film developed with prompt turnaround. As far as I know they’re the only place left in town for E6 processing.

Right around the corner from Camera Co-Op, AZ Lab is where the pros go. I’ve been to AZ Lab on numerous occasions to have photos printed here, and the woman who runs the front is absolutely the nicest person in the world. I mostly use AZ Lab when I need a bridal portrait, and although a bride’s favorite pastime seems to be waiting until the last minute to select a shot, AZ Lab has always delivered in the nick of time. If you don’t have access to a darkroom, AZ Lab will develop your black-and-white film, sleeve your negatives and give you a contact sheet for an added fee. Bringing it in before noon will ensure that you’ll have your negatives back the same day. They offer a slate of fine art printing, including printing on aluminum – for a contrasty black and white shot, this is an absolutely beautiful(but spendy) option. Definitely not Walgreens prices, but not Walgreens quality either. I’ll be using AZ Lab for years to come thanks to their friendly and personable customer service, as well as their unparalleled print quality.
