Poor customer service as a whole — MUST AVOID — very unfriendly staff/​management!!!

I’ve recently been to Alyson Jon looking for a chair for my newly renovated living room… I not only found the anchor piece to my new room but a whole lot more! Sara helped me throughout! Made me feel important (unlike sooo many other furniture stores) and went above and beyond to insure I loved what I got! I also ended up finding a lamp there too, and I just couldn’t be happier! Unique items, friendly faces & happy customers!

LOVE what they have inside but my third time to buy there over a year’s timeframe, I ordered a custom piece. That time, I dealt with a salesman who acted like my very best friend throughout the process, told me he would call in six weeks when it was ready — and dropped off the face of the earth. I’ve worked with designers and know there are always logistical hiccups that delay everything so I was very patient, but it was annoying to have to call and leave several messages before getting an excuse, «I’ve been sick», «I had company in town», etc. Sometimes, I actually had to stop off at the store just to find out where my piece was! Finally, after SEVEN MONTHS — yes, seven months — I got firm and lo and behold, the piece arrived within days, accompanied by much hissing and huffing from the salesman who made it clear how inconvenient this delivery timing was for him and his other clients. My friends shop there and I periodically check the web site to see if the salesman is still there. Unfortunately he is and I won’t go back as long as he works there.

If you’ve been to every furniture known to man and *still* can’t find what you’re looking for, try Alyson Jon. On Bissonnet between Kirby and Shepherd, they have quality furniture that you don’t see on every corner. Tasteful with a touch of flair, Alyson Jon carries standard furniture lines, but infuses their store with unique statement pieces that will make an impression in your home.
Alyson Jon isn’t Star Furniture, so expect to pay for the quality, but their pieces are investments that will last many, many years. They also have great accessories and little vignettes around the store that give fabulous decorating ideas.
