If you want donuts done right, not too sweet, greasy, or whatever Krispy Kreme does to theirs, this is the place.

Quick and friendly service on a saturday morning — great donuts — and lots to choose from — plenty of icing in all the right places. Excellent homemade(while you wait — but not long) breakfast burritos — bacon egg and cheese was inspiring — not greasy, good distribution of ingredients. Kolaches were good as well — my discerning kids nommed them up without remark. We will return.

Not sure why it took me so long to go here. Hubby goes here a lot to pick up breakfast for work, but for some reason we didn’t go till just recently. I think he was trying to keep this little gem a secret! The breakfast tacos are huge and delicious! You can pick three ingredients for $ 2.99. I get bacon, egg and cheese because I’m boring like that. But man that’s a damn good taco, or burrito really because these things are huge and stuffed with yum! And I admit, we also get donuts as well. Yes, I said donuts, as in two. One isn’t enough, three is too many, so we get two a piece. Which is just the right amount of sweet after the taco. They usually have my favorite pink iced sprinkled donuts, but when they don’t the white iced sprinkled will do in a pinch. Hubby always get chocolate frosted. He’s boring like that. They are always fresh and soft and delicious. Plus, sprinkles! Our breakfast bill with the two huge tacos and four donuts run about $ 9.00. You can’t beat that for friendly service, and delicious food. If I had a metabolism like hubby I would probably be here two… or…*cough* seven times a week.

I am a breakfast connoisseur. I generally wake up hungrier than a hostage. People know this. Generally I get some really good counsel on the most important meal of the day. Not very often do I get misguided recommendations from trusted sources. Ashley’s was endorsed by a few people, which is why this one surprised me like a scorpion in your shoe. I must have just come on an off day for this place. Donuts are meh… And my meh I mean glazed cardboard. The breakfast tacos lack any originality — like a Train or a Nickelback album. The service is very friendly, almost apologetic. I would have loved have given a better review, but my conscience wouldn’t let me…

Amazing donuts!!! I got the chocolate sour cream donut and the chocolate filled donut. The sour cream donut had the right amount of crunchiness and the perfect amount of chocolate icing. The chocolate filled donut was way more food than I thought. The donut was heavy(in a good way) and big. The dough was a bit thicker than I am used to and had a perfect proportion of chocolate filling to donut. I think I had a sugar and chocolate overload because I couldn’t finish the chocolate filled donut but it was soooo good that I forced myself to eat as much as I could. This is now my donut spot.

By far; the best breakfast taco in Clear Lake. Great service by staff. The other foods are great also.

This was my first time and I have to say, it will be my last. I thought to give this place a try since I live near by. When I first pulled up, I had high hopes because it had a nice flow of customers. One bite of their sausage jalapeño kolache and I was not at all impressed. The dough is what make or break the kolache. The dough definitely lacks the sweetness that it needs. The croissant was too doughy and not flakey and buttery. Maybe the breakfast tacos are to die for but I’m not here for the tacos.

Limited seating. Has an a few small tables for 2 and old soda fountain style bar seating. Was busy but was mostly«to go» orders. We selected the«Mexican» style breakfast tacos. Food was good but the tortilla was far from home made. Good coffee.

Good donuts and kolaches but I’m taking two stars away for the bad coffee. How hard is it to make a decent cup of coffee?

Breakfast croissants says it all. Got $ 2 – 3? These are the largest and freshest breakfast sandwiches in CL.

Great, fluffy, Shipley like donuts. Perfect size breakfast tacos. Good tortillas, good ingredients and served FAST! Big, high quality kolaches. Worth the trip. Friendly staff, quick service, easy in and out.

This is my favorite breakfast place! I love their breakfast tacos and the convenience of their to-go drive thru. They have lots of options to add to the breakfast tacos and you can upgrade to large burrito size. I always gets potato egg cheese and onion tacos. So good. The service is excellent too!

Having worked in this area for the past 3 years, I somehow missed this place until recently. I must say their breakfast burritos are HUGE! I had one yesterday and wow I was not even hungry at lunch time. For the price that you pay it is so worth your money. You get to pick 3 toppings for your burrito and any additional toppings added will be an additional 50 cents. I got a sausage, egg, cheese, and jalapeño burrito and man was it delish! My only complaint is that I am a salsa lover and they only give you one salsa for that massive burrito. If you would like an extra thing of salsa you will need to pay an additional 30 cents/salsa. I look forward to coming back here and trying new things because they also have these delicious looking donuts and kolaches.

The breakfast burritos here are to die for. They’re huge, but be quick because they don’t serve them past a certain time. They’re quick and affordable! The donuts are fresh too, and although I don’t like kolaches, I’ll eat one from here!

My fave donut store! Great iced donuts, glazed donuts, plain kolaches, and excellent beacon, egg and cheese croissants! They are fast and always so nice. Their prices do seem to vary sometimes but other than that it’s great!

Stopped by for the first time this morning and got a breakfast taco the size of an infant baby. Can’t beat the price of $ 3 for a healthy and hearty breakfast!

I go here about once a week. I sometimes get a jalapeño sausage croissant. Other times I get the larger jalapeño sausage kolach, a glazed donut or a glazed old fashioned doughnut. Occasionally I break down and get their apple fritter, which must convert directly into a heart attack or diabetes. Their breakfast burrito(they call it a breakfast taco) is really good and very reasonably priced. But, it’s a lot to eat so sometimes I get one for lunch. The problem with this is they quit making them a 11 o’clock, because they close at noon and 11’s too early for me for lunch. The service is good and usually quick. The main server gal is stoic which comes off as unfriendly. The other two are more friendly — one in particular. They have counter seating and a couple of booths, but the great majority of their business is take-out. Your tab has to be at least some amount($ 3 maybe) for them to take a credit card. The times currently listed here on Unilocal are correct.

I don’t usually come to Ashley’s for donuts or kolaches, but I stop by whenever I’m in the mood for breakfast tacos, and they don’t disappoint! The breakfast tacos might as well be called breakfast burritos, they’re huge! I can hardly finish one. I believe they are $ 3 for three toppings, and 50 cents per extra topping, reasonably priced! I always get mine with egg, chorizo, onion, and potato. The employees are very nice and helpful! I would definitely recommend Ashley’s to anyone in the mood for a delicious(and filling) breakfast taco!

I’ve been in search of good donuts since moving to the area. This location has very mediocre donuts. They lack flavor and freshness. It’s almost like they are trucked in. I’ve had better donuts from a vending machine. It’s says a lot when even my kids complain they don’t like the donuts. The service is good on the two occasions I’ve been there but still doesn’t make up for the food quality.

Adorable donut shop. Love the eat-in diner style bar. It’s very comfortable hanging out and enjoying your breakfast here. Their cinnamon sugar cake donuts are DELICIOUS. Definitely the best I’ve had in recent memory. Perfectly dense without being heavy. The cake donut batter is perfection, not dependent on toppings for flavor. The eclairs are pretty good, the cinnamon twists are huge. I’m still looking forward to trying an apple fritter, but they’ve been out of them on the last two visits. The kolaches are the cheapest in the area and quite tasty to boot! The dough is among the best tasting I’ve had in a kolache, but the use of the same cheap links that every other place uses can’t put Ashley’s into my top donut shops. They also offer sausage biscuits and ranchero kolaches, but I can’t attest to the quality of either.
