Great hotel. Vast free breakfast options include fresh Texas shaped waffles, sausages, bagels, bread, eggs(scrambled, boiled and with cheese), oatmeal with toppings, cereals and yogurt. Monday– Thursday they have a little appetizer from 5−8pm which is a great surprise coming in from the long day of Houston sightseeing. Our room had a problem and they brought us a key to move us immediately and the next morning we saw someone working in that room. Only drawback is that all double bed rooms are upstairs and there’s no elevator but worth the workout. Would stay here again.

Cheap prices. Room was big and clean. No elevator to get to the second floor. Free wifi. Free breakfast in the morning. I was satisfied for the price I paid.

Nice looking hotel in a seedy area of cheap chain motels. This Best Western calls these«mini suites,» but they really aren’t. It’s a slightly larger standard room with a small partition that separates the beds from a sofa and desk area. The WiFi was decent, and the room(s) I had were relatively clean, though there was always a very faint smoke & musty smell. I imagine this place used to allow smoking a long time ago. I was amazed at how low the water pressure was in the bathroom sink. The shower was fine, but both rooms(see below) had the same low water pressure. Started off with Room #203: * The closet doors were off the track, making it impossible to slide them easily. * The sink faucet wasn’t fastened to the counter and came loose. The faucet literally slid around the counter with plumbing visible. * An hour after unpacking, I noticed the carpet in the living area(what they think is a suite) was soaked. Something in the A/C caused condensation to drip. The front desk lady was nice and brought room key for #202. Moved to Room #202: * The A/C was off, and the room was stuffy. It took two hours for the room to cool down. * Again, same problem with the closet doors being off track. Is this supposed to be like this? * Around 2:15am, someone moved into the room next door. Because the floors and walls are all wood construction with barely any soundproofing, I heard them sliding drawers shut, hangers banging against the closet wall that’s against our adjoining wall. Opening and closing their front door as they moved stuff in and letting the front door slam shut. You get the idea. All this, at 2:15am. * Between 2:30 and 3:30am, I heard people coming and going through the emergency exit which happened to be right next to my room. Shouldn’t there be an alarm or something on the door? People prop open the door and smoke on the small landing. I’m here for three nights… I’ll update as things progress, but I’m already a little unhappy.

The hotel it’s ok… Nothing really great, but is not terrible… I would say the service was very friendly and the location is convenient if you are on a business trip around the area… There are not many restaurants around where you can walk, but if you are driving, there are good places at only 5 min driving as westheimer is very close… The week I was there the pool was very clean, and they serve cheese and wine in the evenings, so you can relax for a while after a busy day of work…

This hotel is much nicer than what I’d expect a Best Western to be, but I guess that’s where the plus comes in. They provide a very nice breakfast every day and wine, cheese, and a variety of snacks Mon-Thu nights. More impressive than any of that is the staff. This hotel has by far the nicest and most personable people I’ve met at a hotel. My five year old daughter almost cried when we left and said that she would ask Santa for money this Christmas so we go back and visit them. If I ever come back to Houston, this Best Western is where I’ll stay.

Are you a smoker? Love the smell of wet musty mildew mixed with smoke? This is the place for you. I switched rooms because the smell was literally unbearable. After switching rooms it seemed good for a minute until the smoking room next to me decided to go for a world record or something. Yea they put smoking rooms right next to nonsmoking rooms and apparently hope that it doesn’t somehow seep through. Wrong! Literally have nasty smoke coming in from the cracks in the wall into my room. I had to switch hotels and even had to wash all my clothes as it was saturated with that horrible smell. I think the most amazing thing is the high reviews given to this place. I really don’t get it. To top it all off there is no water pressure. I got pictures of the sink turned on full blast and water barely pouring out. Also if you have luggage and you are on the second floor you better be able to lift it as there is no elevator here. Just stairs. Wonderful to have when you have a bad back.

This was a cozy hotel conveniently located near Chinatown. The sunny, yellow walls, patterned carpet and nice, wooden staircase lent a pleasant«Southern» feel to the place. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful; our room was clean and spacious and included a mini-fridge, microwave, and sitting area with love-seat and chair. The mattress was harder than I would like and the bathroom was kind of cramped. The tub was dangerously slick. Complimentary breakfast selections included an assortment of cereals, whole fruit, milk, four juices, «make-your-own» waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt, pastries, and everything but bacon and the kitchen sink. All in all it was a good experience and I’d stay there again.

We have stayed at high priced hotels, but never one so clean. Spotless!!! Pool was clean, rugs were clean, no dust… wow! And very accessible to everything.

This hotel, is definitely not a fancy hotel. For starters, we had some dings on our walls, and the light fixtures. BUTTHISISEASILYOVERLOOKEDBYHOWAMAZINGLYFRIENDLYTHESTAFFWAS!!! Denise was our main front desk rep during the duration of our stay, however, Everyone no matter what time we got in to our hotel, was always smiling and greeting us. I have never felt more welcome in a hotel before. As for cleanliness, overlooking the dings, the room itself was clean, the amenities, worked, and since all we really did was sleep in the room, nothing else really mattered. The location was right off the Sam Houston Toll(i recommend to get a pass), and very convenient to us when looking for the asian restuarants!(Haha) Its also, a good drive to downtown, but when you are on vacation, time really flies by. I would come back again. I am glad I gave this place a chance.

This hotel did what we needed. It was a reasonable distance from downtown Houston, where we were seeing a concert. Big comfy bed. Clean bathroom. Overall, pretty nice place and the staff was so nice! Especially the receptionist. On another note, I’m not normally one to complain about a complimentary breakfast, I mean… It’s free after all. And this breakfast was pretty decent, consisting of the standard eggs, sausage, waffle maker, juice, etc. Its also served until 11, which I thought was cool. However, in all of the hotels I’ve stayed in, I’ve never seen such a small kitchen area! It was hard work getting through people, around the inconveniently placed walls and tables. Not that the breakfast thing ruined my stay or anything, but if you’re one to annoyed in situations like that(like me), then you might be better off skipping the breakfast.
