This is a typical Big Lots, can’t say it does much to impress or repulse. The staff are slower than a tortoise race and usually not of help. The prices are NOT very competitive for the most part, so I usually stick to just cleaning supplies here. They really need to clean the jam/jelly containers rather than leaving syrup on all of them. The big T across the street actually has lower prices on many of the items.

Wow! I couldn’t get to the car fast enough to write this review about Crystal… my would be cashier. I was standing in her line to check out, and when I got to the counter she looked at me and said«I’m closed» and proceeded to turn off her cashier light! Where did they find her lol?! She’s a complete joke, who knows nothing about how to treat a customer. At least all of her coworkers knew she was wrong and verbalized it to her. I’m sure it fell on deaf ears. When will businesses learn they will rise or fall with employees and customer service. Complete fail. Bye Felicia.

Ok so I guess their though process is because your not paying a lot, you shouldn’t get great customer service? wrong… WRONG!!! I went in looking for a AKC harness for my dog, all they had are small and medium on the shelf but the shelf sticker says it does come in a large. My dog bites off her harnesses so this one was padded reinforced… perfect and $ 10. I went to the cashier and before I even got a chance to finish asking my question she said if it’s not on the shelf we don’t have it? So my question is you guys don’t have any back stock? I mean I know it’s only $ 10, but at your $ 7.25/pay rate it would more than pay for an hour of your time. I then saw a lady with an assistant team leader badge. I asked her and she told me. We just got shipment in the back, I don’t know what’s in it, but it won’t be out till later this week. Now working in retail management, one of the many things I have learned is customer loyalty and if you loose that, your business is Bound to fail. So as I sit here in the Parking lot of big lots empty handed, I am forced to go online to find something comparable. Not a happy camper right now

Having recently moved, I really needed a couple of patio chairs for my balcony so that I could enjoy it for the few days of tolerable weather we have left. A friend suggested I go to Big Lots. Despite having seen tons of advertising for Big Lots, I in fact had no idea what a Big Lots is. Imagine my surprise when I discovered this location is a mere minutes from my apartment or that there are two within a 10 mile radius. Who are all these people shopping at Big Lots? Cousins of the«The People of Walmart,» that’s who. I ran into some interesting characters here, but that’s neither here nor there. Man, this place was cluttered. It had almost everything I was in the market for at great prices, but the store was so dingy it made me think twice about buying anything. I ended up picking up some hot pink velvet hangers, because who could resist those? Anyhow, if you’re really in a pinch, Big Lots will work, but I personally would rather spend a few extra bucks and hike it on over to Target.

So I had a recent discussion with my friends about big lots, since one of my other friends has been on a HUGE bargain hunting extravaganza. Then she comes out and was like do you guys even know what Big Lots is?! And we all paused and was like… It’s like wal-mart right? Target? Kohl’s? Marshall’s? Well technically it’s just like all of those except way less organized and every time I go it’s a mess.

Who doesnt like a bargin? I know I love bargin shopping, but I hate the bargin branded stores. Junky, slow service and unorganized are the three words that I would use to sum up this location. This is not to say that there arent any good finds here, but be prepared to search through disorganized merchandise and wait in line for entirely to long to pay for a $ 3 item. Is it worth it? Sometimes it is, but this location gives me the blues every time I am here. Sometimes its just best to walk away and hope for a bargin elsewhere.

My mother is the reason that I know of Big Lots’ existence — it keeps in my consciousness due to her packing up some leftovers in a Big Lots bag when I join them for lunch at their house. Otherwise, all of their marketing dollars are wasted on me. It occurred to me to make a second visit to this store yesterday because I needed a refill on triple-A batteries for my hand-me-down MP3 player from my younger sister. That wonder holds a grand 64MB of audio files — roughly 30 super-extended dance remixes. Of what artists, I’m not telling you. You’ll just laugh. Anyway, I don’t need batteries all that often and I had lucked out on a cheap 8-pack for $ 1.50 the last time. So, I thought I’d rush in and out for another package. Well, not so much this time. If you’ve never been to one of these stores, let me sum it up by calling it messy, cluttered, haphazard, and slow. The checkout staff are never in any hurry to do anything — including taking your money. There doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to any of the shelf layouts and categories move around(the batteries were not in the same aisle as last time). After finding the batteries, I noticed no price stickers. And, there’s no price check scanners like at Target. Looking around the corner to the checkout lane, I spied several people in line with cartloads of stuff. Being slowly processed. Quite disheartening. So, I put the batteries back on the shelf and left. «Big Lots» was a «Big WOT»(Waste Of Time) for me.
