DISHONEST!!! Beware…
I took my younger daughter here for a trim just 2 days ago. I called beforehand and asked how much they charged for a trim and was told $ 10 (no mention was made regarding what my daughter’s age was). Afterwards, I told her I would be back with my older daughter, as she needed a trim as well and I thought $ 10 was a fair price. She smiled and said ok.
So I returned today with my older daughter (who is also young — 13) and asked the lhairdresser if she remembered me. She said yes. I asked her if she would also trim my other daughter’s hair. My daughter only wanted 1 inch taken off and it took this lady less than 5 minutes to trim it! When I paid, she DEMANDED that I give her $ 20 for the trim. She said my daughter was an adult and adult cuts are $ 20. WTF?!? Since when is a 13 yr. old girl an adult? And since I returned two days later, don’t you think she should have mentioned BEFORE the cut that she would be charging me TWICE THE PRICE ?!? I feel deceived and ripped off.
I would have returned to this place on a regular basis and recommended it to others but she has lost my confidence and my business. Unhappy, I paid her her the twenty bucks and left. Hasta la vista, Blanca!!! I won’t be back.

love the way they colored and cut my hair. the price is good– and the hair looks awesome!!!

After going to an experienced hair stylist at «hipstery”/high end salon who thought thinning out my curly to wavy hair, would make it look better and one curly hair salon (which thought putting you under a hair dryer would be good for curls) — I was done with dealing with haircuts that were actually fussy and totally missed the mark. Blanca’s is a no frills type of place. It doesn’t have the greatest appearance so be warned about that, but my one visit with Rosie has cleaned up the incredible mess that my hair was in. I can wear my hair straight or wavy and it doesnt look like a big mess if i let it air dry. Also, her blowout lasted me three days without greasing up due to the application of heavy products. I’ve met lots of nice hair stylists in houston but nice alone doesnt cut it. Now if I could only fix the hard water issue.
