GREAT. diversity of crowd… from middle easterns to latino to anglos. to africans
great music… cool patio area… perfect place to chill. relax or dance… has to areas… perfect combo patio to chill. dancefloor area with lights and great sound if you want to dance and drink.

Great for lounging! Café Europe has a really nice patio, full bar, hookah, and an awesome little club inside. I enjoy hanging out there with friends. Their menu is limited, but the food is good. It’s an international crowd there, which makes for very interesting people watching!

Pulled up to the place every parking spot had a valet cone mentioned to the valet man I did not need him to park my vehicle was told I had to pay five dollars no thanks I’ll find somewhere else to go

Terrible service. About 8 of us came here to celebrate a friends birthday. It started off chill but after about an hour and a half a bar staff came over to our table and insisted we close our check. We tried to explain that is was only 11 o clock and we had more people showing up but maybe because of a language barrier he walked away and got our waitress to come to the table. (I’m not sure why she didn’t come in the first place). When we spoke to her she explained that her shift was over and she wanted to close our ticket so she could leave. I can kinda understand she wants to go home but when we asked who would be taking over our table she said no one. We have to go inside and talk to the bar to get anything else. For the record there were 3 other staff members assisting tables as she was saying this. When we asked to speak with the manager she said he’s inside if we have a problem. We all asked our waitress as she was hassling us to pay why the manager won’t come to us. She kept repeating if we need to speak to him go inside. Finally one of us went inside to talk to him and after he said the initial complaint the manager asked if we already paid. My friend responded with yes and then was immediately dismissed. We left and my friends birthday was ruined
Long review short. This place knows nothing about customer service

This place was horrible. The hookah was bad and had to get a new head which they tried to charge us for. The service was bad. Nobody knew how to speak English. The service was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The only good part was the atmosphere but that was bad with the fights the bartender had with the customers

Customer service wasn’t good at all which sucked because the environment was nice. :/​hookah got really scratchy on my throat and no one ever came to assist with it after asking several times…

Been here a couple times to get some coffee and tea. The music can be a bit loud at times if you are sitting inside but overall the environment is pretty nice. Their chai latte is very good, and their tea selection is decent. With them being open late all week it’s a great place to go when other coffee shops have closed. Will be coming back in the near future.

I have more than 10 minutes that I m sitting in their Veranda and no one has come to check on the service.,!
In the entrance there are a couple of very rude guys that assumably are the owners of the café.
Yet I don’t know wether the have a waiting staff or not yet! Surpriseeeeee there s one maybe not … Continuing to waittt !!!
I haven’t tasted anything of their service yet but … I m quite certain there is no distinction from the present attitude.
I guess one star for still waiting until someone decides to show up.

If your in the mood to lounge and relax this is definitely the place to go. I have been coming here for years and I do have to say that it is not the hot spot it used to be but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have a good crowd. They play great music inside and outside. The patio is great for those nice warm or cool nights.
If your a hookah fan they also have it available to go along with your choice of drink or appetizer. I have never had their food so I can’t rate their food. The staff is very friendly but seems to have a big turn around. I see new faces all the time.
Feeling like your in a dancing mood? Well just step right in to the left and you’ll see a small club area with a DJ to satisfy your craving for shaking it… The bar inside is always a great place to hang out while you mellow out to the vibes.
I see a lot of customers here that tend to bring their laptops in to relax and do business or school work… I am assuming they also provide Wifi… Very laid back spot!

Halloween party sucked.
Was advertised as a red carpet celebrity night with snake charmer, go-​go dancers, samba show, jello shots and costume prizes (for 15 $)
Service and prices were okey

Seen only the snake guys which was quite cool.
Rest was a lie.
DJ’s and music sucked.

Worst hookah I’ve had in Houston. Just weak and didn’t hit at all. Margaritas were decent. The restroom was oddly constructed, the toilet in one of the stalls was faced the wrong way.

atmosphere was just ok. Music way too loud. Very hot in the café. Blonde waitress with ponytail, very rude and unfriendly. Girl behind the bar… needs customer service training immediately. When told that it was way too hot in there, girl behind the bar says, «well im fine»…ugh. Wont go here again… on purpose. Too many other nice places in the area. Bartender was not friendly

Service was lacking. Pricing was very expensive. Crowd was obnoxious. Next time I’m in town, I will be going across the parking lot to the other Hookah lounge (much more authentic)!

The only reason this place is not getting a 5 star rating from me is because of the asian waitress. We ordered drinks and hookah and after we ordered we did not see her again. When we did find her, she was smoking a ciggarette, lauging and talking to a co-​worker. Although she gave us the first round free, she should know better than that. The hookah was good. Very smooth and I will be a frequent visitor. :)

Not so good beers are really expensive for this place. Come on a Shiner bock $ 5 ?
1^st and last time I come here!

I came on the weekend when it turns into a small club. It was packed, the people were a good mix of Middle Eastern, S. European, Latino, etc. We all know what that means, right? Lots of snappy dressers! haha. There was a lot of people having a good time, no negativity in the air. The bartender was really friendly. The DJ was having a good time but I highly suggest he take Ricky Martin and What Is Love (Baby Don’t Hurt me) out of his lineup. Not a good look. I agree with Arie, it would be better as a lounge.
I’ll definitely be back during the day to see what the café life is all about… and maybe scoop up a sexy man with killer Italian loafers. ;)~

This place is not your regular café. Here you will see a diverse group of Europeans, Americans, Africans and Arabs all linked together with a common love for soccer, coffee/​tea, and wide selection of food.
This place gives off an awesome international vibe. It is beautiful inside with adequate seating, but plently of space to get some dancing in later on in the night. With a unique selection of entertainment ranging from hookah to belly dancers, you can’t go wrong with a visit to Café Europe. Not many places in Houston like it!

I’ve been coming here off and on for at least 6 years now sometimes with a friend, and a few times I was just bored and didn’t want to drive too far. During the afternoon it’s more of a café /​wine bar /​hookah bar /​patio bar, but on weekends it turns into a club setting featuring more international techno music.
I’ve got mixed feelings about here because on one hand, you don’t have to deal with an inner loop club BS — there are plenty of parking spots, no line, etc., but on the other hand, it’s not really a club either since it’s got a small dance floor area and it’s mostly patio windows with a street view.
I think they’d do better as a lounge, but then the really loud techno (really weird fast paced techno) destroys the atmosphere. With the coffee, wine, club music, full bar, snacks, 10 waitresses, etc. it just feels like it’s trying to be too many different things but not really being convincing at any single thing.
Give them a shot and see what you can make out of it. I have had some fun times here.
