The woman working the drive-thru was super friendly and and great at customer service. But when she walks off to get our drinks ready, another employee comes up to the window and just shoves a bag at us and walks away. The bag had someone else’s order in it, so when the nicer employee walks up I mention to her that this is the incorrect order and she(very politely) apologizes and tells us to park and she’ll bring the correct order out, which she does in about 5 minutes. I was incredibly impressed with her and appreciated her making things right for us. Unfortunately none of us found the food that great, especially when we found a hair in the salad. Really I’m only giving the 2 stars for the friendly employee.

Worst Carl’s Jr. Ever. Their fried zucchini tasted a little slimy for starters and the spicy chicken sandwich — better off going to chick fil a. Also I noticed one of the girls back there in the food prep area did not have a hat on or hair net. I am sorry but I know when I worked at chick fil a we had to have a hat on at all times especially when we were in the food prep area! This is a health violation waiting to happen!

Bad customer service and high prices(for fast food). There are a lot of other fast food choices around this location, just pick one of the others.

Bad customer service, drive thru felt like a waiting line. Guy taking my order(Hispanic guy) was very rude and sounded like a smart a$$ when I asked for my criss cross fries, I gave two stars because the food was good lol.

I’ve never had a burger from here and I’ve heard great things, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I ordered the ½ lb American ThickBurger, which had layers and layers of craziness(surprisingly a great combination). After the top bun, there is a sliced hot dog, cheese, ketchup, pickles, lettuce, potato chips and a ½ lb burger(tender and so tasty). I personally think the pickles were too much with all the flavors going on, but overall, this burger was DELICIOUS. The actual burger itself had so much flavor in it. I give this place a 4 star rating because of that burger!

Great tasty burgers but the slowest service(drive thru) ever. The last I went there I waited almost 25 minutes in the drive thru to get my food. Again, food is good, service is the slowest of the slow.

No, I havent tried much on the menu but the Turkey Burger is great! And it’s served on wheat, thank you! The Santa Fe grilled chicken with PABLANO is good. Love that pablano! I try to avoid all fries but these are too tempting! And their sweet tea is good. Lunch drive thru M-F has been fine when I come… thankfully!

Worst customer service ever, there’s a misunderstanding, there’s a language barrier and I’m bilingual! What the heck?! They got my order wrong and when I tried to change it they said they couldn’t change it because when I order something that’s what I get. So you have to be specific to a «T» here. I ordered breakfast and got lunch and I asked if they can please give me my breakfast sandwich and they said we can replace it but we can’t give you the difference. Thats a load of crap! The coffee was crappy! Never again! And I didn’t even eat my food!

If you like attitude, not filled up out of drinks, napkins and ketchup. Also like dirty and to wait this is your place. $ 10 for. 1⁄3 hamburger, onion rings and drink not up sized.

I love their burgers. The Guac is especially good, and satisfyingly messy. I mean, it’s SERIOUSLY good. It would have to be to keep me coming back to experience the terrible service. I don’t know if this is a company staffing policy, or unique to this location, but this store seems frequently understaffed. They are ALWAYS short-handed. How do I know this? Because the older lady that is frequently on duty for the evening shift makes sure that everyone in the county knows that they are short staffed. Every single order starts out with a wailed apology, continues with moaning about being short-handed, and is completed with lots of huffing and puffing and desperate drama. The message to customers is loud and clear: Yes, you waited 10 minutes for her to take your order, yes, you waited another 10 minutes for the food, yes the fries are either cold or overcooked… but it’s not Her FAULT, you see, and the only appropriate response the customers could have is to feel sorry for her, right? I mean, I get being understaffed(though I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s HER shift that is perpetually understaffed; if she’s not there, they seem to have a full contingent onboard). I get that it’s tough, and that things can fall behind. But is all the moaning and drama really necessary? Ugh. And don’t do the drive-thru. Go inside. That drive-thru gets SO backed up… UPDATE April 2015: It seems that the Drama-Llama is no longer employed there. The service inside is still slower than many«fast-food» places, especially during busy times, but it is a little faster than it used to be… plus, it comes without the side-helping of histrionics. Have upped the rating to three stars accordingly.

Not a huge fan of Carl’s Jr. but my and the Pops stopped in for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy were excellent as well as the breakfast platter. Very good prices and very clean. Had friendly help and will be stopping in again for lunch or dinner soon. Overall, solid fast-food joint.

Always quick. Always friendly. Always tasty food. I like the Bacon, Egg & Cheese biscuits, although they are a little salty. They have tasty burgers, too, not like regular fast food burgers.

I grew up in California so I’m a big Carl’s Jr. fan but my drive-thru experiences at this location leave a lot to be desired. Recently, I pulled into the drive-thru near closing time(the stated closing time is 11pm). All the signs at the drive-thru were still lit, but after sitting at the drive-thru station waiting to order, a recorded message came on over the speakers announcing that they were closed and then all the lights in the drive-thru suddenly turned off! I looked down at the clock in my car and even after the wait it was still only 10:55pm! I can empathize with workers wanting to go home early /being under pressure to close in a timely manner, but this just left a bad taste in my mouth. This location also got my drive-thru order wrong on another occasion. If you must visit this one, make sure you’re extra early if it’s near closing time. It’s probably also a good idea to go inside the restaurant to order and double-checking it before leaving. Otherwise, I strongly recommend visiting another Carl’s Jr. location instead — which is what I’m going to be doing in the future!

Today I attempted to place an order through the drive-thru. Every other word I said was responded to with«Will that complete your order?», even though I hadn’t finished ordering a single item. I decided it was best to skip the drive-thru and go inside. Ordering at the counter was quick, courteous, and correct. I’ve had the Super Star burger before and enjoyed it. Today it was bland and the veggies were not as good as the previous two visits. I think they were having an off-day which can account for the less-than-stellar drive-thru experience, but it doesn’t account for the bland burger and veggies. I will visit again and hope they are back on track. This location opened recently and I would like to see them succeed.

I haven’t tried a burger here yet, I’ve just been getting the chicken tenders(which aren’t bad). They have tasty french fries and as far as my boyfriend is concerned, they have really tasty sweet potato fries too! And it’s a little more expensive than your average fast food joint but it’s worth it. It’s located on the left as soon as you turn onto Ella from 610. I call that part of Ella«Fast Food Boulevard» because that’s literally what it is! There’s a Taco Bell, Burger King, McDonald’s, KFC, Carl’s Jr. and Cane’s Chicken Fingers all in walking distance from each other. It’s ridiculous! So, if you’re wanting some late night bites, definitely go down Ella b/c you’ll have A LOT to choose from!

Carl’s Jr. is the best fast-food burger next to Whataburger. I’m a Whataburger devotee because it’s a Texas icon, and they do little things right. Having said that, FWIW, when fast-food is the only practical option, I’d eat CJANYDAY over the likes of Wendy’s, Burger King, Icky-D’s, and Jack ITB. Beware: if you HATE mayo like me, you hafta specifically ask for your burger«texas style.» which is code for mustard instead of mayo. Oh, their breakfast biscuits & sandwiches are worthy, too. Their staff are attentive and super friendly — kinda like Chic-Fil-A.

My first and only experience with Carl’s Jr was in San Fran, and it was a BAD one. So I wasn’t rushing to check out the opening of this new location. However, I kept hearing how good they were and well I had to give it another try. I opted for the Southwest patty melt combo. The burger itself is just OK, the fries were blah. On this day they were running a special for a free Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich. I figured they were pre-packaged, nope hand scooped, nice gesture, but SLOW execution. To say the least, I won’t be coming back.

Why are all the neat new things(Del Taco etc.) opening meow so far away from downtown? This is a drive, especially if you want this as a lunch, but like Chris P. writes: «until Houston gets an In N Out, Carl’s is the best» because it reminds you of California as the corporate leviathan slowly spreads its greasy hamburger tentacles deeper into the country. The guacamole turkey burger is one of the best turkey burger options EVER since it is always consistent(unlike Hobbit Café’s turkey burgers) and it has guacamole. Let me place more emphasis on that: GUACAMOLE. Yes, I want you in my mouth right now with all of that guacamole. The chili cheese fries are boss as far as chili cheese fries go. They are messy, bad for you, and taste amazing. What more could you want?

Today is the grand opening of Carl’s Jr. on Ella Blvd. I’ve been witnessing the construction of the building for quite some time now. I recall there being a very rundown apartment complex here before Carl moved in. Thanks Carl, that smelly apartment complex was an eyesore to Oak Forest residents. I’ve never really been to the grand opening of a restaurant before. It was jam packed inside. I felt like I had walked into a raging bee hive of hungry people. The staff was very friendly and attentive; they were even handing out menus at the door. Of course, only time will show if this pleasant service continues. Although they seemed to have at least 50 hungry customers, we did not have to wait in line to order AND our food was ready within 10 min! Nice job, Carl! I ordered myself the Southwest Patty Melt(you know, from that commercial starring Kate Upton where she is all alone at the drive-in movie theater and practically getting off while eating a cheeseburger LOL) Kate Upton must be an easy girl to please because I thought this burger was just average. Don’t get me wrong, the jalapenos and cheese made for a wonderful burger topping. I was totally happy with it, but not the best I ever had. The fries were also a little small; maybe they cut regular fries in half then serve them? I don’t know. Anyways, the staff was very friendly and the food was alright. Welcome to the neighborhood, Carl. I’ll be back again.
