Good food not great but good enough. They always overload you with the nachos even when I order the ¼ .You get well over alot for your money

The hospitality is awful. When considering itself a sports bar and showcasing tvs… I asked for the NBA finals(last game) to be shown. The worker(that was sitting in the back watching ESPN on repeat) said he was going to find a remote. 20 minutes later I asked a different worker. She came back asking me not to shoot the messenger but that«he» said he wasn’t gonna change it. He had just changed it. Lies. So… The tv is still on ESPN and the workers are yet watching and enjoying themselves(instead of wiping tables) while none of patrons are able to reap the benefits of this supposed sports/establishment.

Trash. I’ve been here a couple times before but my last visit sealed the deal I would never eat there again. As we look for parking(which is full we had to park at the plaza next to it) people are exiting chachos about to fight. It’s so many dudes it’s like they was filming a music video and someone said the rapper was trash or something. We get inside and of course a customer is cussing out the workers and wants them to come out in fight. Keep in mind the restaurant is packed and it’s only 8pm. So I order two tacos and a beer and the cashier says some jooba jabba idk what the heck and my total comes out to 16 bucks. Smh I guess gwhateber I’m hungry after my skate sesh and my idiotic friends wanted to eat here and I didn’t drive. Turns out my food came with rice, beans, and the biggest potatoes ever that were gross and pointless. The steak tacos were disgusting. It was like Barney was back there cooking tacos in a hot suit and just added extra grease to everything. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and sure enough there’s green throw up all over the sink hey that’s cool I guess. Leaving the restaurant, people still outside arguing or bout to fight about a rap video or something idk. Overall, don’t come here. It’s beyond ghetto. Food is trash. Service, trash. Restroom, trash. Go to taco Cabanna, or down airline to some legit authentic Mexican food.

Okay first thing first COMEHEREFORTHEPORTIONSANDNOTHINGELSE. With that framework set, this is one of my favorite tex-mex places in Houston. I don’t think I need to post a photo to prove their portions are gigantic. I’ve been here countless times and everytime the food comes out hot, quick, and flavorful! Nachos are their specialty, mounted high with meat, queso, guacamole, sour cream, and beans. The steak is my personal protein for these. A small or medium portion can be split between two! The margaritas are tasty but way overpriced for the size. The piña colada actually taste better than the margs but are the same ridiculous price. I will say, this place can be sketch at times. This is typical for any place that stays open 24⁄7 and is on the route from in town partying to north Houston homes and suburbs. Nonetheless HANDDOWN some of the best nachos in Houston!

Worst service ever. They are repeatedly messing up your order, drive thur speaker never works which delays ordering until at window. Slower than making food at home. Only good thing about this place is the cheap lunch hour specials. The location on Westheimer is best to visit if you want great service.

Worse Mexican food on the planet! Service pathetic! I ordered the enchiladas. The enchiladas sauce was nothing more than watered down chili! Chili as in what you would use for hot dogs! I was so disappointed. I will never return to this place ever again. Table was also dirty and had not been wiped down. I wiped it down myself.

The tortilla soup was probably the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was basically a bowl of water with lots of chopped onions and some small pieces of corn tortillas and a lot of cheese hanging around the bottom of the bowl. I did notice some very small and very few bits of chicken in the soup. I’m not sure if that was intentional or if those pieces just happened to fall in the bowl when they were grabbing the soup. On a positive note, the guacamole was pretty good. My wife had the enchilada plate. Not sure if they ran out of real enchilada sauce or not. But it was not real enchilada sauce. It was actually wolf brand chili sauce that appeared to be watered down. Overall, I would give 0 stars but since that is not an option I will give them at least one star. Don’t waste your money. Unless you just want guacamole.

Years ago my friends and I would go to chachos on westheimer after the clubs. After this trip, either I didn’t have taste back then or this location or company went down hill. I ordered enchilada w ground meat, guac salad and fish tacos drive through. Tip: do not go to the outer machine cause it’s just for looks(it’s busted). When you get to the cashier be prepared for a cold wind machines blowing at you. It was already windy and cold that day so, why have it on? I dunno. The enchilada was salty, rice was Mushy and cheese was like my fat if I saw it outside of my body or old cheese melted in the sun. The fish tacos were like the guard. The guac said had no taste, I should have asked for lemon/lime, salt/pepper, and some chopped onions… oh wait that would be me making guac for myself wouldn’t it? I was hungry so I forced myself to mix the guac salad and enchilada together but even so I only had a few bites and end up letting the rest go to waste, which I hate doing.

Always a good atmosphere with good food & margaritas. Even the Ceasar Salad is good here and it’s not something you would think to get.

Great restaurant. More Tex mex than taqueria in terms of flavor and style, I generally prefer taqueria(such as Tacos la Bala) but Chachos is a strong exception. Great flour tortilla, great chicken fajita tacos and great chicken fajita quesadillas. Excellent food

First of all the prime reason why chachos is a great restaurant is their hours. A Mexican restaurant that is open 24 hours is hard to find in the Houston area, especially one that consistently serves good food. We have been there on many occasions and it never ceases to amaze us how the portion sizes seem to have no bearing on the price. If you order any menu item and you are eating alone I highly suggest you get the smallest portion you can purchase because it will surely be plenty of food as the portion sizes are HUGE! The restaurant always seems to have adequate seating no matter what time you go which is nice. They have a great variety of dressings for your meal and the cilantro dip is highly recommended to go with anything on the menu. The nachos are nothing short of ridiculous. Unless you have a large army to take down the large nacho platter I highly discourage you from ordering it because it can serve 10 people probably. The restaurant has TVs spread throughout so you can watch a sporting event while you wait on your food or while you dine. The margaritas are the final touch where this restaurant gets five stars. If you get the 1800 margarita, you probably should be a passenger instead of a driver. It is very good and worth the money. The lunch menu is another hidden gem but you have to have the schedule that can accommodate going during lunch hours. You can get a great deal of food for a great price and come away a winner every time with the lunch menu. It is also nice that both breakfast and dinner options are served all the time so if you are like me and enjoy your 2am quesadilla, that is not a problem here. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit back.

Huge frikin nachos shared by three… One’s a grown man, and we still had left overs for another two people! Margarita was yummy too! Gave 4 stars because place was a little dirty, tables needing to be bussed, and loud loud patrons, could not even hear convo at my own table ! But good food at a great price !

I love this place! The food is always good and the sauce/salsa buffet is awesome; always fresh. We go for breakfast on Sundays or lunch on Saturdays. There are some differences on the menu offerings between the locations; but there are still a ton of items to choose from! The chicken fajita nachos & Caesar chicken salad are my top choices. The mango salsa is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy!

I called in a to go order then showed up about 5 minutes after they said it would be ready. No one could find the order/knew what I was talking about so I put in a new one. Waited 30 minutes for it while looking at them make half of it fresh. The other half came when someone grabbed a plate that had been sitting there since before I got there, stuck it in the microwave, then threw it in my bag. Tasted like s*it.

So. My friends from the Netherlands are in town, we’re driving home from IAH to Clear Lake and we’re all starving. Where to take the Dutchies that says Texas? That’s also quick and cheap and delicious? Taco Cabana! Wait. No, Chachos! Not sure why we chose Chachos over TC but I am so glad we did! It was fantastic… the food was delicious and the service was just fine. I ordered half a burrito, forgetting how freaking huge their burritos were! But it was vacation time and I was hungry! Hubby and I also ordered nachos to share and he ordered tacos. Damn we had a lot of good food! My Dutch friends ordered fish tacos and quesadillas and both loved their food as well. I loved the atmosphere as it really screamed Tex-Mex and Texas to my friends, plus they loved the food and the salsa bar. This was such a win/win all around! I wish there were a Chachos closer to me but I’m glad there isn’t, as I would be running a LOT more miles to run off all of the yummy goodness.

When we want Nachos and a Good Margarita we head to Chachos! The whole family loves it! We order the Mixed Meat King Kong Nachos but ½ order. My kids love the Cheese enchiladas and my hubbs and I also love the Sloppy Fajita Burrito! Extra Sloopy! I’d of given a 5 Star but tables Wobble and annoying! Parking lots dark and hard to park! Area of towns a Lil Gangsta too so watch your back!

Flew in late to Houston, hungry and looking for something to eat. Chacho’s was one of the only food choices available, but I was looking to eat Tex-Mex, so I was in luck. As an avid lover of fajitas, I ordered the ½lb order of chicken fajitas. Was pleasantly surprised to find that they served beer and grabbed a Corona. Sadly, while the Corona was sitting in a bucket of ice, it was a warm beer. Happily seeing a sauce/salsa bar, I grabbed my sauces and lots of jalapenos. I love jalapenos! When the order came out, it was the biggest meal I’ve ever seen in my life! Glad my friend and I didn’t order the full pound. I could barely hold up the tray… The tortillas were soft and tasty. The rice was good, and the beans were OK. I was surprised to find potatoes on the order. The chicken was a bit dry, but okay, not bad. Overall the fajitas were good. The extra sauces and jalapenos definitely made it better.

I don’t understand why so many people like this place??? The food is not that good at all! The only reason to go here is if you’re out late at night and can’t find anything open or you’re looking for a place to have some margarita’s at. Other than that I would NEVER come here.

Stopping to get some breakfast tacos, I decided to give Chachos a try. I use the drive thru service which was quick and courteous. I ordered bacon and egg tacos which were hot and fresh. However, the eggs were a little overdone — almost fried and chopped instead of scrambled. Then one strip of bacon was good but I didn’t care much for the factory tortillas.

Hey it’s Chacho’s, not expecting a 5 star meal here. But this is a good spot to soak up those morning after hangovers or to get your greasy Tex-Mex fix. This location doesn’t have a full bar, but they do serve ritas & beer. Staff has been friendly the times I’ve been there & they keep the tables pretty clean. From time to time it can be a bit of a wait for no reason, but it’s just never been horrible. I wish they would’ve left that small patio portion alone vs. closing it in. Also, be warned it can get pretty dagum cold in there.
