Went here for dinner on a Friday. My boyfriend ordered the Wagyu cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. It did not disappoint, but we were even more impressed with the Rosemary chicken I ordered. It comes with cooked spinach which was okay, but paired nicely with the chicken. If you are looking for something healthy and delicious this is a must. It must be Champp’s secret, since they’re know for their burgers.

This place is rediculous! If you want expensive, watered down drinks, and horrible service come here. The drinks we ordered were off a special drink menu which I thought was a little pricey, but figured they would be good and strong. That was not the case, drinks took forever, and were far from strong. Maybe it was all the ice that melted during the wait. The food my girlfriend and I ordered came out after a long wait and was luke warm, if that. The server was really rude and rolled her eyes at us upon my request to heat the food back up. I will never be back to this overly priced pretentious dump of a sports bar.

Overall Champps is a good watering hole and decent food. Parking well that is a challenge. Because of the other restaurants in the area the valet for the restaurants take up many of the parking spots. The food, I had a Cesar chicken salad and a few beers. You cannot go wrong with a salad in most restaurants. My guest ordered the baby back ribs. The review on the ribs was very good. I have had them in the past and would agree they were very tasty. Service was excellent. Because it was during the final 4 the bar was full. We arrive on a Saturday about 6:30 and sat at the bar waiting for our table. It was not a long wait; I was able to take my beer with me to the table. Overall good spot good food, parking a challenge. I recommend and would visit again. Now eye candy I don’t know if it was because of final 4 but there was plenty of eye candy in the restaurant and definitely at the bar!

Ommmmg if you’re looking for a tasty small breakfast buffet spot, then look no further. I went this past Sunday around noon with some people. Of course at this time they advetise lunch, although, you can request the breakfast buffet. At the buffet there are like three tables set up in the middle of the restaurant. It doesn’t look as if much is offered at first until you open up the bins to get the food. It’s really cool that one of the employees is behind the table making omelettes and waffles for you. Although it would’ve been nicer to have more then one waffle machine because the wait for those were ridiculous. Besides that the food was mouth watering and delicious! I had chicken country fried steak(which I thought was just chicken tenders until one of my friends personally asked the waitress what was it exactly), biscuit with gravy, bacon, omellete, waffles, these little mini rice crispy treats, and fruit. The biscuits were so soft and moist and the bacon was crisped to perfection! I loved the fruit bar. there you can add whip cream and even melted chocolate to your fruit. It would’ve been heaven in my mouth if the chocolate was actually warm though. All in all the service provided was phenomenal. Granted I wish there was more employees monitoring the breakfast buffet table because plates were constantly running low. Overall I was with a fairly large party and the two waiters were on it! One of them even knew all of our names by the time we were all finished. I’ll definitely be back!

Good place for a drink and appetizer otherwise it used to be good the food quality is gone downhill it looks good but it has no taste. For example had the chipotle hamburger with pulled pork on it the burger was tasteless didn’t even have a hint of chipotle also ordered fish and chips looks great but again no taste. all breading and very little fish inside also ordered flatbread pizza looked excellent but tasteless was the weirdest thing.

Been coming to Champps for years now. It is always a reliable place to go 1. If you want to meet with friend and watch a sporting events, tvs everywhere. And 2. If you’re out late and want to get some bar type food and drinks and just hang out in the uptown park square. Sometimes the food can be hit or miss, but the reason you are there(primarily sports games) and the atmosphere make up for it. Also, the cookie ice cream whip cream dessert thing is really good ha.

Came here on a Saturday night and was surprised they still have $ 5 happy hour for their apps, got the chip and queso, good enough for 2 people, also got a Long Island ice tea and my girl got a sangria which was very good, good drinks and nice bar, fast and friendly service

My company hosted a party in one of the private rooms. We had a marvelous time. The waitstaff catered to our needs without hovering. I had the rosemary chicken – in a word, divine! One issue was food coming out late for a few of us. Still, I recommend Champps to anyone who wants to celebrate with good food and decent drinks.

Good food. Especially for a sports bar. My favorites are all of the flatbreads, and the chicken tenders. They also have seasonal items, most recently, the schnitzel with hunter mushroom sauce was great. And also recently had their bison burger with short rib and mushroom gravy. Amazing. Great place to watch a game too.

Want to Champs for a place to watch Saturday football after shopping at the Galleria. They definitely have plenty of room and tvs everywhere to watch whichever game you want. But the place was pretty dead. Service was just ok. Food was atrocious. My boyfriend got a burger that was has hard as a hockey puck and half frozen fries. Salad was ok, nothing special. And flatbread dough was soggy. Couldn’t imagine myself ever going back. for any reason.

Great place for basketball games. I enjoy it most when it is crowded. I think they have a wide selection of food and it is expected that once in a blue moon a restaurant will mess up your order(i.e. last year sometime, I ordered a black bean burger and I ended up with a nasty toe jammed aroma of a veggie burger… excuse me. I just don’t like veggie burgers). Other than an irritable event every once in a blue moon, I really enjoy the atmosphere of this place, and during popular sports game… you feel pretty good to be a Houstonian as the crowds cheer on their teams.

Not the same as it used to be, food quality has really gone down hill, used to be really good when it first opened but now it is a worn out rundown place. All tv’s need to be updated to high def 4K, old technology. Food is low quality bar food or closer to Denny’s, my chicken was undercooked and rubbery, will not be going back to the establishment, unless a major overhaul is done.

After shopping at Loft, stopped in for a quick drink. We rarely come here as we have seen this place decline over the years but tonight was the last night. Swatting off gnats from my drink only to watch them land on the bar is pretty gross… Bar Rescue needs to give this place a face lift…

Went to Champs twice because we enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Was recommended to us while we were in town visiting a friend who was in the hospital. We ordered from the menu but I guess we did not order as much as the waiter thought that we should. We gave him a 30% tip because he was very busy and did a great job taking care of us. When we got home and got our credit card bill, I noticed that the tip had been doubled. So instead of giving a generous tip of 30% it was altered to reflect a 60% tip. So, when you are in Houston for a visit, I would suggest finding another restaurant than Champs. Not a good look Champs!

The place looks really nice but for a Friday night it was extremely dead. The food was okay I ordered the 8oz sirloin with mash potatoes and some broccoli. The sirloin was thin and dry, the mash potatoes were probably the best thing on the plate and I won’t comment on the broccoli. Overall the food was okay, the service was pretty good but slow. The food came out very slow too considering it was a dead Friday night. Food 5⁄10 at best Service 6.5÷10 I would come back but I will try something else.

Came here on a Sunday, it was packed for football and brunch. Of course I was there for brunch. Delish! They had a guy set up making omelets to your liking, with all fresh ingredients. Awesome. Also, he made waffles and there was a buffet with biscuits, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, fried chicken and probably some other things too. It was self serve, and great. I had a mimosa as well. There were several tvs on in the brunch room, all showing the football games. Pretty great environment. Service was great — friendly and fast. Will def go back!

I have been going to Champps Uptown since it first opened but hadn’t been in the past year. We went to watch a college football game and had the worst service. The waitress wrote down our order and still got it wrong without ever checking back with us. The pink lemonade cocktail is abominable and syrupy. I took one sip and ordered a replacement and was still charged for both. The food at Champps is typically better than«bar food» and they do have an extensive menu with a variety of types of food. Unfortunately the food is not worth the poor experience. I won’t be going back until management recognizes that their service has gone downhill. It’s obvious when a place has tons of games on various screens and the restaurant is not even at close to capacity. There was no wait at peak dinner time on a Saturday night and now I know why. We won’t be back anytime soon.

I recently visited here and it was about what I expected. Not the hippest crowd. Definitely older. The food was marginal and unfortunately none of the taps worked while we were there. I think if I were a 50 something year old man, I would probably enjoy it. But being a 26 year old girl, I think I will hang elsewhere.

I remember going to the Champps in Westchase before it shut down. I was initially impressed, but the more I went there the more I realized that it was just a fancy sports bar. Coming to this one didn’t change my impression too much. It’s not the best food, but there is a wide variety including salads. There are giant TV’s everywhere and, on this occasion, as soon as the sport du jour finished, the place got quiet very quickly as patrons finished their drinks and shuffled out the door. The positives were that the group I was with(8 of us) were seated rather quickly and the service didn’t suffer because of the crowd in the room or at our table.

I was having such a good meal here. Sat at the bar and the service and food were both good. There is one way for me to overlook everything else. It is when an employee comes out a stall in the bathroom and walks right out there door. I have no idea what he did in there, but I know he did not wash his hands. I tried to find a manager, but at 3:00PM they were probably getting ready for dinner. I would come back here for a beer, but would never eat here again.
