Ran into this place on accident but starting to think by fate. So good, had the rib plate.

I visited Creole Soul for the first time yesterday based on a YouTube ad and positive Unilocal reviews. I had the $ 5 rib plate with mac & cheese and mustard greens. The food was quality, well seasoned, and delicious! The ribs were tender with just the right amount of smoked flavor, and the mac & cheese is reminiscent of my mom’s. The banana pudding was great and truly homemade. I recommend Creole Soul for great food at a great price and friendly service.

Awesome. Really nice guys, great (and inexpensive!) food. Make sure to try the $ 5 rib plate and absolutely don’t miss the banana pudding.

The Best $ 7 catfish Plate in Houston! Where else can you get a plate of fish with Greens, Mac & cheese, Red beans, cabbage etc for $ 7 bucks? Well seasoned and cooked fresh.

This place has been hidden for 5 years. If you have been open that long in Houston obviously you’re doing a good job. I actually enjoyed my late lunch at there location on Kirkwood near Alief Clodine. I can’t believe I’m the first person to mention this place. They had almost every thing you can ask for as a soul food restaurant from Homemade Mac n Cheese to Collard Greens and Smothered Pork Chops. I will definitely recommend this to any one along Westheimer or Alief area for a spot for getting a Soul Food fix.
