Darque Tan

I was talked into paying 125 $ for all the spray tans I want for 30 days. That was a good special until I got super sick with strep and tonsillitis keeping me home for a week and then assigned to a travel nursing job for 3 weeks right after. I explained my situation to the manager who explained nothing could be done to put my spray tan package on hold until I got back. I was given customer service info and they did nothing to help me either. I just wanted to freeze my purchase which is completely reasonable considering my situation.
So I paid 125 $ for one spray tan. I have been loyal to Darque tan for 10+ years. I am so upset the way I was treated that I will never be returning. I am encouraging all my friends and family to do the same.

Love it! the front desk girl is super friendly and knowledgeable. She told me my choices for bronzed liquid to clear. i had to get clear because I wore white. I got there at 10am and didn’t have appointment and was taken in right away. I really liked how the place was clean and the tan seems to dry right away and has lasted at least two days for me. I did the spray tan which was under $ 15 using the groupon. I now look like a girl from the hawaii, super sun kissed. Bonus points because they are open late. I even got a reoffer in my email for another under $ 15 spray tan.

This is my favorite darque tan I have ever been to out of San Antonio and the houston ones. The customer service is awesome! The lady who is always working is so great and nice, she knew my name after only coming in twice and now when I Walk in the door she is already typing my name and setting me up. I can’t ask for better service than that! It’s a huge salon and open till 10pm which is a plus. I have experienced girls in other salons that are just not very nice or are talking on their personal cell phone when I walk on. Not here though! Always great service, always quick, always clean. Highly recommend.

Another great Darque Tan location! The best part is that they stay open until 10pm, the latest in the area.
They used to have 2 Mystic machines, and they finally got rid of one. Yay! They replaced it with the Pura Sunless. It’s like a cross between the Mystic and Versa. There’s only 2 positions (front and back), but the spraying feels more like the Versa, and it has a drying cycle. And I remember it feeling a little warmer than the Versa, especially the drying. To me, the Versa can feel quite cold. The Pura feels really nice.
I do usually stick to the Versa, though. I seem to get darker with the Versa. I like to look as dark as possible lol. But if you’re not wanting to look too dark, try the Pura. It’s never been busy when I’ve been there, unlike the popular Versa. One of the staff told me both machines use the same formula.
All of the staff have been super nice. They have lots of products. I love getting my spray tan here!

If you’re ever thinking about getting a Mystic Tan here, DON’T. The machine is the OLDER MODEL Mystic. It doesn’t dry you as it sprays like the new one, and instead of turning 4 ways you just do front and back. It sprays so much tanner on you, it feels like someone is literally throwing a bucket of liquid on you. It’s disgusting. The entire tan was uneven and I had tanner running down my body. I had to rub it in and try to even it out. The crappy shower caps they provided are cloth-​like and the tanning solution soaked right through them and got my hair wet… WITH SELF TANNER. Imagine how tanning solution looks on blonde hair? I have patches of brown all throughout my hair, it’s a mess. I called later to find out what was wrong with their machine and whoever I spoke with could of given two shits. She told me I was supposed to be wet when I walked out. Which isn’t right, they have a subpar machine, that’s all. She interrupted me and told me to call customer service and that «maybe they can do something for you.» Yikes. Won’t be back.

They need to have more people working the desk. Tanning isn’t cheap and you don’t want to be rushed through the explanation of what you were getting.
3 stars because there were no goggles in the bed when I went in (heard another women say the same) and the staff (one girl) being rushed.
The beds are expensive but they had a bogo special if you bought 100 dollars of tanning you got anther 100 free. Did this because I didn’t understand the membership options she briefly explained. The bogo makes it more worth it

I have now upgraded to the Versa Spray tan and am loving it! Still a happy, regular customer. There can be quite a line to use the Versa on Thursday nights, so be sure to get there early! Last night I arrived home from work around 6:30, showered, and headed that way and there was no wait. Some nights there can be over 5 waiting by 8 pm.

Once you get past the confusing membership plan explanations and accompanying blank looks if you ask clarifying questions … well, this place delivers what it should. I buy UV tanning, and I have used each level of their tanning beds. The private rooms and beds are consistently clean, and the equipment appears to be kept in good working order. The desk staff, which can get a little harried during peak service times or a little ditzy or hard-​to-​find at slow times, are generally knowledgeable of their products and services, helpful, friendly, and welcoming. My only concern is that sometimes the level 1 beds’ bulbs are changed out, and the difference in intensity in the new bulbs can cause some sunburn if you stay under them too long. I wish the staff were a little more careful in gauging this when recommending times in the new-​bulb equipment. My experience with their centralized customer service for billing issues has been consistently satisfactory. If you fake-​bake, this is a reasonable, cost-​effective choice, with flexible hours.

I had been previously tanning at a Montrose tanning salon and decided to try a new place. I’m glad I did, because the service plan and customer service I received here was awesome!
The people were all very pleasant, had great attitudes and the establishment was exceptionally clean. Good customer service and attitudes go a long way in my book, espcially when trying out a new place!
I will definitely be going back to Darque tan.
