My friend and I made it our goal to try a different ethnic cuisine every Friday. We had trouble finding El Caracol because there wasn’t a Unilocal!listing, but eventually I tracked it down after driving past it one day. Hooray! SERVICE: 5 stars. The owner and servers initially seemed standoffish, but once we cracked out the smiles and the Spanish they were all ears. We asked them about the menu, the music, and invited them to dance. Initially they were out of the pastelito, but when they heard we were interested they presented us with the very last pastelito to try. ATMOSPHERE: 4 stars. Located in a parking lot that might seem sketchy after dark, but I was with a big group of friends so I felt safe. Everyone else at the food truck just parked, waited for their food, then ate standing around, so we did the same. FOOD: 4 stars. Tasty, but way too greasy and heavy for my taste. — balleada sensilla — next time I come back, I’d order this! It was DELICIOUS! — pastelito(Honduran empanada) — mondongo(Honduran version of menudo) — taco frito(Honduran taquito) — tajadas(plantaaaaaaaain chips!) — more crispy than soft, so I wasn’t a fan. — sopa de caracol(snail soup) DRINKS: 5 stars. Great big portion and very tasty! — maracuya(passion fruit juice) — coconut milk
