I absolutely love Dr. Hyder! He’s a wonderful doctor for me and my family. I was told by a different doctor that I had the worst case of astigmatism he had ever seen and refused to order contacts for me. I definitely wanted a second opinion and came here and was treated so good. I was prescribed contacts and also got some awesome glasses! After about two years the doctor told me I would be a perfect candidate for LASIK eye surgery. Took his advice and will be having the procedure done this week. Absolutely recommend Dr. Hyder to everyone!

My husband and I recently had eye exams with Dr. Hyder. He got contacts and I got glasses. The experience was very different from other offices in the area (I’m looking at you, Coastal!) and not what I was expecting from the slightly-​too-​trendy looking office down from Starbucks. Both exams were quick and painless. Dr. Hyder explains everything really clearly and answers all your questions.
The office is incredibly well run. Front desk staff did a great job of navigating our confusing insurance to get us the best deal possible but their expertise really showed when I was picking my frames and lenses. So helpful and knowledgeable and nice.
They have a little sign in the waiting area promising that they won’t make your glasses in one hour because it takes longer than that to do a good job. I think it took about two weeks to get my glasses. It was totally worth it. They fit me perfectly. I had been bummed about getting glasses but they’re pretty cute. My husband is very happy with his contacts as well.
In two years, when our insurance will pay for more exams, we’ll be back to Eye Trends.

My whole family has been coming here for many years and Dr. Hyder is the best!
The office staff is SO nice, professional, quick, and PATIENT. They’ve let me and my mom spend hours in the lobby searching for the right frames and definitely knew what they were talking about when helping us with our selections.
They’ve shipped many an order to me since I live out of town yet still can’t seem to cut the cord. Overall they’re just really great people who want to help you see better and look good doing it! :)
I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a new eye doctor in the area, you will not be disappointed!

Came here for your typical eye check-​up. Had zero wait time — was in and out in an hour. I left with new contacts and picked up the rest of my order within the week.
The doctor is very friendly and professional. When I had questions about Lasik he was more than happy to tell me about his personal experience with it and then explain options/​where to go for a consultation. When I think of doctor’s offices, I think of long waits and stuffy service. Overall, it’s none of that and I will definitely make this my go-​to eye doctor.
