F Bar

Very disgusting bathrooms to begin off with. Lack of staff. Have issues with security. Seems to be no crowd control when there is any type of event going on. The owner Acts as if he is brand new. The only favorite part of this establishment for me is that one of the nicest bar managers you can have (Sarah) works there. There is always bar glass on the dance floor. Dirty dirty dirty place.

Love this effin’ place! Had so much fun here on a beach nite to last! And so drinks and entertainment and are the best but weeknights are always the worst in h town. F bar keeps it on that down low.

Loved this place. Really did. But you know what ruined it? The door man. African American dude that wears a beanie wouldn’t let me come back inside to close my tab after getting my purse from someone outside. He made really rude comments about how my «fat ass» was blocking the door way. Really?! He even PUSHED me out of the way. I am a 5’3 Asian girl and no man handles me like that. Especially an asshole I don’t know! I loved this place but then I see the kind of trash they hire to put people down like that. Also the bathrooms are disgusting. Piss everywhere, no one tending to it, no toilet paper no soap… This place is gross. Make sure you bring some hand sanitizer with you unless you want to get pink eye on the way home!

Giaaaaant margaritas. Was extremely lively on the Thursday night I went as apposed to the rest of midtown. Love the atmosphere.

F bar was fun saturday night… They just had good music and the drinks were made good… it was a good size crowd and people were just dancing and mingling .
no line at the door… no hassle to get a drink. free admission… unlike the other ratchet blur.
i would recommend and will be going back.

Simply put: A fuck ton of fun. No really, the most fun I’ve had in a long time.
It is so smoky (like smoke machine smoke), that it is really easy to lose your friends. Luckily, I arrived with 15+ men so I was never too far from the pack. Okay, if you like dancing — this is THE place! Everyone was dancing everywhere, it was packed. Chandeliers hung from the ceiling to add to the fancy factor. Clothing might be optional, from my own personal observations. You can even dance on the stage, and there are lounge areas to chill out at. The bathrooms are co-​ed and they had a bathroom attendant helping out because it was getting kind of catty in there with people cutting in line! They have an outside area with heaters and a bar as well. If you’re not into dancing, this might not be your favorite spot. It was definitely my favorite of the night. It is also within walking distance to many other bars. I had way too much fun here and would definitely return.

I can honestly say the owner Irwin is one of the most disrespectful owners of an establishment I’ve ever encountered. The bar itself is fine, but, as other reviewers have mentioned, the owner is so out of tune to his patrons that the bar absolutely can’t be recommended. A business is a reflection of the person who owns it, and as such, I can’t recommend FBar to anyone. Go if you’d like, but please avoid management.

Was having the time of my life unti i ran ito my ex. Havnt seen that Mudturtle in like 8 years. Great music and dance floor. Expensive drinks.

At F Bar Houston last night while valeting the car a drunk driver sped through the lot and hit my friend’s car, almost ripped the door off. Not to mention this drunk individual almost hit the valet guy and my friend only to then flee the scene. The owner of F Bar, Erwin, arrived on the scene and at first actually seemed concerned. He then said that our situation, which happened on his property, was interrupting his business and that we needed to move the car. We didn’t want to move the car until the cops arrived. Mind you cops never arrived. Shortly after he began to curse, and yell at myself and my friends. He was very disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. He continued cursing and arguing with us, he got into my face and began to point his finger in my face. I moved his hand and he grabbed a large flash light, bucked up at me and cocked back as if to hit me with the flashlight. He then accuse us of trespassing and told me to get off of his property as well as my friend and her car which her door was unable to be close. I’m sharing this experience because myself and a lot of my friends have had a lot of nights at that establishment and spent our hard earned money there. Erwin is by far one of the most disrespectful unprofessional individual I have ever dealt with. FBAR Houston will no longer be receiving my business. I know I’m just one less patron, but I wanted to make others aware of the unprofessionalism and disrespect that we experienced last night.

Every time I come here I have a great time. I usually come on Sunday’s for the day party. The bartenders are quick and friendly. I really like the indoor outdoor space. There is a nice sized dance floor and adequate seating throughout. I really like the patio area. The crowd is the best. Everyone is nice and there to have a good time. Every time I go I meet new friends!

Awesome music, been there twice. 2^nd time was after the shooting accident, went on a Saturday night, and it was so empty. But I would love to go for a 3^rd time

Pricey. Check your receipt as it doesn’t show what you are paying for! Beside that, the place is awesome

We always have a great time here. The atmosphere is up beet and friendly. Saturday nights the place is packed so get there around 10 so you can get a table. The shows are as good as any in New York or LA. The girls really do it right.

I LOVED this place. My husband and I went in to check it out with some friends and we had a blast. We went on a Friday night and it didn’t start getting busy until about 11:30. The drinks were great, and the staff was super nice. Love the décor and the ambiance. Looking forward to going back.

I have been here only two times its a very nice club drinks are priced very reasonable no cover charge over all I like it I will continue to come back and recommend to friends but it does have down falls it gets so packed that you will have to stay in one spot and the restroom are shared by males and females I really don’t like that.

I will say I enjoyed my time last night at F Bar. I went a couple years ago and haven’t been back since. Used to be the capital of the gay pretentious of Houston. If you didn’t look or dress a certain way then you really didn’t feel comfortable.
The show last night was a complete turn around from that vibe. The show was entertaining, exciting and most def worth the exhaustion I feel today. Hard to get me to go out mid work and school week, but bringing in Drag Race headliners was a big help.
Was concerned about going due to all of the recent crimes in the area but HPD at the door and make sure you go in and out with a group of friends for safety. Just be smart. Overall a good time and enjoyed seeing Katya.

Very pleased. Gf and I went there for the first time last night. Although it was mostly a guy bar, like most of them, we felt welcome and at home. It has a neat layout, with a full bar running outside, ashtrays for the smokers, heaters so it’s not too chilly, and a full bar inside with a dance floor, cozy cushiony seats, and flat screen TVs with the usual assortment of bored male models posing in various stages of undress.
The bartenders are friendly and pour a good drink. We didn’t feel stiffed out of our money. There is no cover, and our empty glasses were picked up as soon as we put them down. Music was really cool too: a DJ mix techno. The only negative was the unusual bathroom. It was a bise. xual bathroom with many separated stalls, and it was very odd for us women going into a bathroom with a bunch of guys coming and going at the same time. Gf innocently walked into a stall and discovered it was a urinal. Whoops!

Fabulous Bar
The F Bar Houston has been open for just under 5 years. The building was rehabilitated to become one of Montrose’s Premier GLBT Bars.
The bar has great ambiance whether you are indoors or outdoors. The bar is adorned with hues of red and black with white accents. Of course, like every GLBT bar, it has a disco ball, but the crowning jewel it the impressive chandelier over the dance floor. It is magnificent when the strobe lights hit it. They offer an experience with a variety of events. Happy hour is great, Friday and Saturdays the dance floor is packed and Sunday Retox, Funday is a great way to wind down. Don’t forget that they also have Karaōke and drag shows with national headliners.
The drinks are great and always like a piece of art and the employees are all very friendly!

Awesome bartenders, fun people, classy atmosphere = the workings of a great night. I’ve been to F bar twice– first time for a friend’s birthday, the second time to see Courtney Act. Drinks are always good and the DJ plays really good music. I love the way F bar is set up because you can just wander around, sit and talk to friends, or go on the dance floor. The whole vibe is so fun and if someone who’s shy (like me) can have fun and feel welcome at this place, and so can anyone else. My friends and I always have at least one interesting conversation with a stranger here– 1^st time was a drag queen and her husband buying my friend a birthday shot (LOL) second time was a couple talking to us about the results of RuPaul’s drag race. So as you can see, I felt very welcome at F bar.
There is one other plus– FOOD outside! Thee is always a grill or a food truck outside so you can get a sandwich or a burger. Thanks for catering to the fatty in me, F Bar!
