Best place to get some quiet reading done. It’s never crowded. There’s this one especially hot librarian. OMG! So freaking hott! But she’s probably got a BF. On the lower level is where All the cool kids hang out. A very diverse group of patrons that use this facility. Hardly any hobos hanging around. Well there’s Dion, but he’s so joyful ppl give him a pass. All in all pretty good place to study.

I love this place. The staffs are very nice and kind. The place is quite and clean. Sometimes the library services cookies for people. If I can make a lot of money in the future, I definitely will donate money for this awesome place.

Awesome place to study, very quiet. Just wish they didnt require so much protocol for you to go in… You have to email some person to get access… And you dont know when they will reply. At least Rice-FL is friendlier and more accesible in that regard, i wonder why this place isnt.

A great study spot if you’re in the medical center. Don’t pay for the garage parking: the light rail will drop you off just around the corner at the Dryden/TMC stop and several shuttles stop here as well (TMC Red Shuttle, the metro 87). You do need a library ID card or institutional ID to enter so be sure to register at the front desk if you’re a visitor. First floor has plenty of computers and some scattered tables/couches but has depressing lighting and no windows. The second floor has sunny areas with study tables, study cubbies, and a few study rooms offering views of the med center. It’s also super quiet up there so be prepared to study hard. The staff is helpful but not too patient in my experience.

Easy to sign up — both for on-site and on-line access to materials. They have a ton of medical books related to every specialty of medicine. Great resource for the medical community.

Horrendous parking! If you’re sans car you’ll enjoy the experience more. The library is ancient but I there are some floor to ceiling windows upstairs that make last-minute cramming less stressful and depressing (if at all possible). The printing is easy though expensive and they have computers with big screens on the first floor.

Is this what a library looks like?
Haven’t been in a library and the last one I went to seemed more like an afterschool babysitting service with people everywhere talking, laughing, running around. We chose TMC library b/c my team discovered that we were limited on meeting places on a Sunday afternoon.
Plus:
Study rooms available
Quiet b/c the people there are really trying to study
Easy to access on a Sunday
Bathrooms (clean)
Workstations available w/computers
Minus:
Parking costs are attrocious — $ 10
Overall, it was great for what we were using it for — meeting space.
