To start off on a high note the DJ «Rigo» was awesome he did a great job and had my guests dancing all night. The hall looked beautifully decorated I got a lot of compliments. BUT as beautiful as things looked I could not agree MORE with the other review stating they are CROOKS. If you can book somewhere else I would do so. Save yourself a headache and them from ruining your night. I had prepaid all alcoholic beverages for my guests and they still charged my guests. The bartender they had was so RUDE and didn’t want to serve my guests and didn’t bother to let them know what was free just so he can charge them. They run a crooked business and just want to pocket more money when you already paid. Their hostess was a space cadet when came to running things for me. They know how to play dumb when it came to what you paid for and had to keep looking at the contract when we argued with her about the drinks being covered. They ruined my evening. I will never go back and never recommend anyone to waste their money with them unless you like to hand it out for free.

I recently attended a Quince at this venue. To start off, the staff was totally unorganized. They were still getting stuff together for the event and the dinner was served late. The venue looks good and the service was o.k. My favorite part is when it came time to pay full price on a Crown Royal and Sprite, you weren’t actually getting Crown Royal(the host provided the first couple of bottles so you just paid for the Sprite and ice). I picked up on this after my second $ 8.00 «Crown & Sprite». It just did not taste like Crown Royal, so I brought this to the attention of the bar tender. He never raised any doubt and quickly had them bring another bottle that was still in the box. Hmmm, that made them seem guilty. Anyway, he made my drink which tasted like it should and then shoved the first bottle off to the side. I then noticed that the label on the first bottle was pretty worn out, as if it’s been around a while. I wouldn’t doubt it, if that bottle has been filled a few times with a knock-off of Crown Royal. Man, that’s pretty low. If it weren’t for the nice and clean venue, I would have given this place just 1 star for this low down dirty move. If this place will cheat you out of a drink, imagine what else they have done.

DONOT! I repeat DONOTHIRETHISVENUE! They will make a contract with you, and they will change what they promise. Drinks are not provided by them, the service people are rude, and they throw your cake to waste, we spent over $ 10,000 and it is NOTWORTHIT! Crooks is the best way to describe them.

The place is nice but as far as flooring and wall color choice I give it a 4. The location on the older three halls are ok because it is very close to the beltway. As for the new venue on Beaumont Hwy and John Ralston, I honestly don’t know what they were thinking. The 4th hall is located in a very ugly neighborhood. But the hall is nice inside and out. A bit country taste to it. Which is why we liked it. Since it is fairly new I understand it still needs alot to be done. Parking is big enough. The staff are all nice but very unorganized. They all say different things and can’t plan a simple food tasting event. They lack in communication by passing all information within themselves incorrectly. So sticking to one person throughout the whole process is advisable since we spoke to about 6 different employees throughout the whole thing who all would tell us different things. The owner has all his family working at all his 4 venues. Including his newbie«Photography & Videography» team they all put together(his daughter and son in law). He tries to save money by having all his untrained, unorganized family as employees. All waistresses, host, servers etc are teens. The food is good but could be better. Expect to be charged for everything. Overall we regret booking at this venue since their policies changed and prices went up. That is very stressful if you on a budget and then all of the sudden they changed prices on you when they initially said once we made the contract all prices would stay the same if we booked before their 4th new venue were to be finished. So we did but only some prices stay the same for us and most didn’t. So now we are spending WAY more than planned. So if you have a budget go somewhere else were it’s organized and professional/trained employees. With the money we are spending we could of gone with a venue way more elegant and luxurious. And not to mention all the stress and surprises we could have avoided! UPDATED! My wedding passed. We kept on top of things to make sure they did want WE wanted not what they wanted. I am surprise things went smooth. BUT I will still DONOT recommend this venue. NONONO! I wish I could of gone somewhere else. The dish we had originally chosen was not the end result. It was nasty. WHY? because the dish we initially did choose was from the previous chef. Then all of the sudden they had a new one who did the same dish way DIFFERENT. He is a younger man who looks like a newbie. Again, I think the owner tries to save money. By getting a newbie chef or student chef he will saves LOTS of money by letting the previous experience chef go. Also, we were told to watch out with our beverages and purchased plates because they are sneaky. I know a previous wedding couple who held their wedding at this venue. They were allowed to bring their alcohol. Well guess what? The bride told us that the people at the bar were selling the couples own alcohol to the guest. WHAT! yes you heard right. So well good thing we had people helping us keep count and keep an eye on the alcohol. We did mention to the owner the things people warned me about and he assured me that doesn’t happen in his venue(yeah right). I think that is why things ran smooth on our wedding day because I made sure I told him that I will have eyes on everything. And as far as the DJ. I will HIGHLY recommend to hire your own if you can, not sure if they allow outside DJ. He was nice but DIDNOT play the songs we requested. Only a few. And we had some things we wanted to do, like dim certain lights and certain times. He didn’t keep his word. Even after I handed everything in writing. So if you are willing to spend more than 25 grand like we did, ITISNOT worth having your event at this venue!

Came here for a wedding a few weekends back and had a great time. There are actually 3 halls here, and we were situated in the medium-sized one. A band set up on the 2nd floor, and bars on opposite sides of the hall. Didn’t get service inside though(AT&T). A bottle of Patron here will run ya $ 80…yeah it was a good night. If you’re looking for a place that can host both the ceremony and reception, this isn’t too bad. Lots of cowboy hats, tequila… and Mexican pointy boots(J/K).

This place is very nearby where I grew up, so when they opened up shop we hoped it would bring value to the area. Not so much. Herrera’s is great if you need to have a wedding reception on a very tight budget, but your guests will know how much you spent in no time. I attended a wedding reception here and hoped for a nice evening. From the surface it looks like most other large wedding halls, but the inside is a bit scary. The walls are a peach/pink flamingo color. The flooring is nice, but you can’t see it with all that loud paint on the walls. They do have an upstairs area(in the larger hall) for your DJ/band to set up, which is nice. The tables linens were decent, but they served the meal on Styrofoam plates and plastic Solo cups. The food was really bland(they said authentic Mexicans prepared it?), the tortillas were cold and the«charro» beans had cut up hot dogs in them. I understand that the Bride and Groom did the best they could with their budget, but seeing this place made me very happy I had a flask in my cute little clutch purse.
