Its lame. The carnies will rip you off so be ware. Fuck those meth head assholes. The German music is cool. Try the free cornhole and big jenga. The food is overpriced, and the beer is even more so. The drinking games use water and not beer. Big waste of money.

I decided to give it another try and, again, this event SUCKS. They deliberately listed a bunch of good german and domestic beers, less than ¼ was really available. Food was a disappointment, few and low quality alternatives. The truth is this guys are in it for the money, and ONLY in it for the money. 2 lines to get in(pre-purchased tickets), 1 line to get beer tickets, 1 line to get food, HUMONGOUS line to get beer(unless you go to Sam Adams). Ridiculous. Plus, $ 7 for a 11 ounce glass? really? You could buy a pitcher for $ 10, then they lie to you that you will get 64oz in the pitcher for 3 tickets, BUTITDOESN’T FITINTHEPITCHER. If I were not with my wife I would have gone back to get my money back. Not worth the gas to drive there. I hope they don’t do it again to fool other houstonians.

The 2012 event occurred on October 20, 2012 and it was a disappointment. Their web site promoted a wide variety of German food, but out of the 10 or so food vendors, I would only consider one of them German food. And for that one vender the line was very long. Other venders where selling hot dogs, bbq, hamburgers, ice cream, but not really German food in my mind. There was a good assortment of German and local beers, which was a positive. However, the beers were on the high side at $ 5 for a reality small cup of beer. The location was in the parking lot of Houston Community College. Walking around on the concrete didn’t help them bring a German vibe. The entry fee was $ 15 which included one beer, $ 10 if you where the designated driver, and $ 5.00 for kids under 18. I will not be back, if they manage to pull off another event for 2013.
