I ordered a «Giant» ultimate porker unwich(lettuce instead of bread) for lunch, and received a tiny little wrapped package. It weight almost nothing, so I asked the cashier if that was the correct amount of meat for that sandwich. She said she had no idea, and asked for her manager. He asked if I wanted to add extra meat, and I said no, I was just curious if that was the correct amount for what I ordered. He indignantly told me that obviously it was right. After I opened the sandwich, there were TWO paper-thin slices of ham, and a few strips of bacon, along with gobs of mayonnaise and a few tomatoes. What a pathetic excuse for a «giant» sandwich, and attitude for a manager in the service industry.

If you want ultra fast sandwich for a great price, Jimmy John’s is your place. The line can be long from 11:30 to 12:30, but they speed through the customers and get you a sandwich in a short period so do not be scared away. The lines at the other restaurants move much slower in the Allen center food court. My favorite is the JJ Gargantuan. It is their big boy sandwich and tastes delicious. They have their own brand of chips. They are great, especially the vinegar & salt. Also, don’t forget to add one of their monstrous cookies, you cannot go wrong with the chocolate chip. The staff is always super friendly and eager to please.

Tasty subs. Quick service in the tunnel, especially during the busy lunch hour. I arrived about 12:15 on a Monday afternoon. There was a line of about 8 people, but JJ worked two registers to get the line moving quickly. I placed my order for a Big John and had to wait about 3 minutes for my sandwich. There were four people working the food prep, so the wait time wasn’t nearly as bad as other businesses in the Allen Center tunnel area. JJs offers a good variety of sandwiches, but I prefer Subway’s bigger menu and its specials and variety of vegetable options. Still, if you are in a rush, JJs is a good stop and they do make a decent roast beef sub. Five bucks. Same JJs good quality, delicious sandwiches at a good price.
