While I’m a huge fan of anything noodles, and I love Korean BBQ, a lot of things about this place just doesn’t click with me. You have the servers/owners who barely speak English and only polite to other Korean customers(neither my gf or I were Korean). Everything on the menu is either seafood or kimchi flavored(not really suited for my taste). Also every dish comes extra spicy, with no room for modifications(spicy food is like my kryptonite). I came out of the restaurant completely dissatisfied, having enjoyed neither the food or the experience. But maybe your tastes are completely different from mine, and you could end up liking this place a lot more than I did.

Korean Noodle House is literally a house turned restaurant. I came here because I was feeling under the weather and wanted spicy soup. The kimchi is as delicious as everyone says it is! It is incredibly spicy as well. Overall, best kimchi I have ever had. We also had the kimchi fried rice with beef and it was also very good. I ordered the beef rib soup and thought it was good but missing spice. For 3 dishes we paid about $ 32+tip. Service is also very friendly. I’d definitely come back the next time I am craving korean.

Let’s just say I will be going to Korean Noodle House for any Korean craving I get from here on out. This cozy and unassuming place is a little yellow house with tables inside. There is a waitstaff that will come round and take your order. Drinks include the regular sodas, as well as the more exotic shikhye and aloe drinks. Promptly upon sitting, we were brought the most delicious kimchi that I’ve ever had. The vegetables were still crisp and fresh tasting, but well-marinated and fermented in perfectly seasoned tangy spices. It had a spicy flavor, but without feeling hot. We also had an appetizer of vegetable rice cakes that were spicy yet pillowy. My bf ordered the bulgogi noodles and ate everything on his plate! It was delicious: the bulgogi was tender, not too dry. But I was searching for something more elusive, something I haven’t been able to recreate since I left LA’s Koreatown behind… Soondubu jjigae(At least, I think that’s what it’s called). Korean Noodle House has it… and it’s awesome. The ritual of cracking the egg over the boiling hot soup and folding it in under the bowl’s contents is intoxicating. Waiting to eat while the egg is cooking and a delicious smell is wafting up from the still-too-hot-to-sip broth is almost unbearable. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The rice was nice and fluffy and complimented the spiciness of the soup. I will definitely be back.

I’m so glad I found this place. I have only tried the bulgogi(number 20) and steamed dumplings, but my coworkers have ordered the seafood noodles before and it looked good, but a little too large for lunch. The restaurant is in an old house, so seating is limited. I’ve only been here for lunch, but it is best to get there a little early or you may have to wait for a table to open up.

I love this place. I have come in several times, and the food have never disappointed me. I love their Kim Chi, #20, and Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup. Their food are so flavorful and cheap. I love that you can get unlimited Kim Chi. Their Kim Chi is so authentic and good!

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in town. The place is owned by a very friendly middle aged couple who make delicious home cook meals. Every time I eat here I feel like it’s a family place. Place is nice, casual and price is way better than other Korean places. It is always my number 1 recommendation whenever someone asks for a Korean place to eat. Best quality Korean food!

My feelings on this place are like a text message to your significant other when he/she asks why you are ending it: just not into it. Octopus and mushroom«stew” — soup base served with rice. There is NOTENOUGH food in a serving to justify $ 10. While the flavor was very enjoyable, I don’t pay $ 10 – 11 and lean on rice to take care of having enough to eat, and I am a medium eater. If you are a big eater, you are just fcked. Better ask for a second bowl of rice, Bubba. Spicy seafood soup– Popular for their noodles, which is what they are counting on to keep you full for the next hour as there’s not much else in there. There’s one medium-sized shrimp, one scallop the size of a quarter, and a few mussels with meat the size of a dime. I would easily be appeased if banchan was served here, but yes– I know it is a noodle house so they don’t. Even if it is a noodle house, I shouldn’t pay $ 10 – 12 per entrée and feel like all I’m really eating are noodles and rice. Though this place gives you kimchee as a starter, I can’t eat kimchee until I’m full. Business is booming, and they definitely can make it without me.

For Korean food, I tend to exclusively shove meat and banchan in my face, so it was nice to eat at a Korean restaurant that focused on some of the other great parts of Korean cuisine, like soup(and noodles)! Korean Noodle House is right off Long Point, and the parking situation is… interesting. 3 businesses(including KNH) share the same 10 available parking spots, and it seemed like people were parking in the church lot across the street? Good luck because I couldn’t figure out where it was OK to park. (W o W this review is so helpful so far) The restaurant is VERY small — if you have a large party(6+), you might have trouble grouping tables together. I went for lunch on a weekday and was able to sit down immediately, but I imagine the wait during dinner is insane. At least it’s very homey and cozy. When you’re waiting for food, the servers will bring out their house kimchi, and W o W their kimchi is probably some of the best I’ve had recently. You’re supposed to use tongs to put some on your plate, but my sister and I dug in straight from the bowl like kimchi heathens. Oops. We ordered the bulgogi/octopus soup and jjampong, a spicy seafood noodle soup. Both had great flavor, but I surprisingly preferred the bulgogi/octopus soup — the jjampong here was a little too spicy and definitely skimpy on the seafood; I found the bulgogi/octopus to be more balanced and also have more meat. Another pitfall: no side dishes. While the kimchi here is friggin’ delicious, the lack of other banchan REALLY puts a damper on the whole meal. Where are the cooling side dishes? There’s too much hot and spicy that the only way to cool down is with water or ordering cold noodles(and I’m not the biggest fan of naengmyun). Like I said — the kimchi is some of the best I’ve had. Unfortunately, it can’t really make up for the lack of everything else that I want in Korean dining, despite the good flavors. I should say, though, that I do appreciate a restaurant that has posters of K-pop on the walls… I’m pretty sure the owners are fans of Big Bang and Girls’ Generation!

I still enjoy this place very much but tonight’s experience was inconsistent from my previous. My family and I dined here tonight around 6:50pm. I wasn’t sure if they ran out of ingredients or something but they skimped out on the seafood in my jjamppong and my husband’s beef & octopus. I always order tge same thing, but it was lacking tonight. I am curious though… I thought the hot stone pot would have the crispy rice at the bottom, but it definitely didn’t have any of that.

Great little place and not on anyone’s radar unless you know about it. We only found this yummy place because kind Unilocalers posted about it. The drill: Pull in, ignore the fact that the restaurant is in a house and hidden by two other business. Persist in looking for the entrance. Go past the incredibly worn wooden porch and enter. Expect a family style environment. Here I faced a first time EVER. We are sat. After quite a few minutes, a waiter briskly comes by and announces he can’t take order for 20 minutes because of take out. So we waited. Kudos for the large take out order and was rewarded by a stunningly good meal. I’ll be back. Maybe this time, I’ll just do take out ;)

My very first time trying kimchi and Korean food also. Saw a lot of mentions of the sea food pancake so we ordered that. YESITSAMAZING. My brother got beef dumpling soup. I can’t describe the noodles… they were dense and soft and I’ve never had anything like it! I ordered kimchi friend rice which was a little too much for me. I think it would have been better as a small side dish for me because it was so spicy. With winter right around the corner I will definitely be back for noodle soup!!!

I don’t remember how many times I’ve came here but it has never failed me! I always come here with a group of friends and for starters we would always order a plate of fried shrimp/green onion pancake — big enough for everyone to try a piece. I’ve also tried their noodle soups, huge bowl. Will definitely fill your belly up! And lastly, their soft tofu pots with rice are good but I’ve had better ones. PROS — Free Kimchi appetizer and refills — Price is average — Good service — Homey atmosphere CONS — Low number of tables — Gets crowded fast, so I would recommend going early if you have a big party! p. s. Free lollipop on they way out after checkout!

The portion sizes of Korean noodle house has decreased significantly. I wonder if it’s because this once hidden gem is no longer a hidden gem and in order for the staff to accommodate the crowds, they need to crank the food out quicker thus it seems the quality of their service and food suffers. It used to be my top favorite Korean noodle restaurant but on my recent visit, the seafood pancake lacks a lot of seafood that it used to have and the thickness of the batter is now very thin. The kimchi also didn’t seem very fresh and the beef noodle soup’s portion size has gotten smaller and the beef they serve is really dinky. In addition the chicken in the chicken noodle soup is small and not very fulfilling for my protein needs. It breaks my heart to give this restaurant 3 stars but they’re just not the same as it used to be.

I love hidden gems! This place is one of them! Most dishes are about $ 10. Seafood pancake –good! Spicy seafood noodle soup –only one shrimp, has a shrimpy flavor, mussels included, and one scallop. Not bad! Big portion, lots of noodles! Kim chi fried rice –absolutely AMAZING! Comes with fried egg on top and little pieces of ham in it. Noodle with dumpling –it’s like noodles on a day your sick, very light, bland, lots of noodles. COMPLIMENTARYDELICIOUSSPICYKIMCHI! Make sure you have some time, the service here isn’t super great someone will come around and fill your drinks eventually. The restrooms are one person only, summer time can get hot in there. After you eat, make sure you pay on the way out! Outdoor seating is also available, they take card too! Tip: When you’re ready to order, just close your menu so they know! Let me know how it goes Unilocalers!

Such warmth. Much cozy. Very yum. Korean Noodle House is quite literally in a house, and the friendly owner and homemade food definitely impressed me. Because everything is homemade the flavors aren’t too salty like in chain restaurants and everything is balanced, making for happy tummies. Portions are huge. FOOD Tax included in the menu prices! KNH has the spiciest kimchi I’ve ever had, given in unlimited servings and served in cute coffee mugs. For appetizer we got the fried dumplings as well as their seafood pancake. The dumplings were served with a small side of pickled radish for some acidic component, and the meat to skin ratio was good. Solid average app. The seafood pancake was tasty, although a bit flour-y… I don’t know if it was because we were late customers but asides from that the flavor was light and the pancake was thick. For entrée I opted for their beef dumpling noodle soup, expecting lightness. That was exactly what I got! It was really gentle flavoring and perfect for sick people. Don’t get me wrong — it was like a warm bowl of chicken noodle but better. They used the same dumplings as the app, so I got to try them in two different dishes. Pieces of beef and cabbage also floated around in the broth. AMBIENCE/SERVICE After taking a few bites of kimchi one of my tablemates legitimately started sweating. I think he drank four cups of water during that meal. The server constantly refilled water and bossman himself came by to take our order, asking if we were okay with a teasing tone. The entire feeling of this place is pleasant. Come eat and be sated with the warmth and homemade love of Korean Noodle House.

Tip: The Best Seafood Pancake in town! The beef dumpling noodle soup is awesome! Only has kimchi for free appetizer. On a cold wet day we wanted noodle soup. Korean was the first option. First we started with a seafood pancake. It is the Best i ever had! Everyone raves about the kimchi. Its good but im no expert. I ate alot and enjoyed it but cant say it tasted much better than other kimchi. Next the soups. We had the seafood and the beef dumpling. Seafood soup is tasty but the beef dumpling i thought was alot better. The beef was very tender! We also got the fried rice which i thought was just ok. Place: very small and fills up pretty quick. About 13 tables. It looks like an house that turned into a restaurant. Wood floors and all that. I love that! Still pretty clean. Service: there are about 2 – 3 waiters and help. They were pretty attentive and friendly Price: very reasonable.

Although Houston severely lacks in their K-town game, this place has got to be one of my favorites for Korean food. MMMmmm I am never disappointed with my visits, as their dishes are some of the most authentic I’ve had in Houston. Seafood Noodle Soup«Jjamppong Kalgooksoo»(5⁄5) — This is the only kalgooksoo I’ve had here. After the first time I ordered it, I couldn’t bring myself to get anything else. See my photo for reference! The kimchi here is also soooo bomb, like I could eat the whole bowl of it as a meal on its own. Okay, maybe not, but you get the point. The downsides of Korean Noodle House would have to be the slow service and the cramped space. It may be difficult to find initially since it’s literally a small house. It can get a little stuffy in there when the AC doesn’t want to cooperate. I guess it just makes it that much homey.
