To be honest. I’m glad it burned down. The pizza sucked. They never had all the toppings they advertised on the same day. They lost their liquor license. The restrooms were filthy. Slowly but surely LNP went from decent to absolute crap. All in all, it was a cool hang out spot. The last few times I went there I did not even bother with the food. I would much rather go to Kroger and buy a frozen pizza. If they ever re-open I hope it’s under new management.

It’s open till 3(or was it 4), it’s in a good area, and the pizza is delicious. Owner/bartender and servers are great, and, what’s best. ISTHEYDELIVER. I remember once getting completely sloshed somewhere, and I came back home. And I ordered pizza. Mind you, it was FREEZING out. Ice on the road and all that. And they STILL came out to where I was to deliver the pizza. That’s dedication. And shit, $ 3 for a slice of DELICIOUS pizza? Awesome. One of the best pizza joints in Houston, even if the location is kind of sketchy.

Three friends and I went a few of weeks ago and were very displeased with the experience. I haven’t been in several years(since it was at the other location), but I remember it being a pretty cool late night stop. This is definitely not the same place… the pizza was terrible and tasted half cooked, two of the three appetizers we tried to order were«out» at 11:30(!), the cheesy garlic bread taste plastic-y and the waitstaff didn’t seem to care too much about the service for our table. Don’t even get me started on the cleanliness of the table or Parmesan shaker… blech! That particular night there was a live band, so it was super-loud for such a tiny place. It was a Friday, so I understand that some places have bands — really just an FYI if you don’t want to eat in an establishment with super-loud music and rowdy people. Overall — awful experience in what used to be a very cool place to eat. Too bad as I was the only one of the four of us who had ever been to the old location…

I used to go here at LEAST once a week, when I lived in Houston. A pitcher of beer and a Boss Man pizza… those were the nights. *sigh* When I visited Houston a few weeks ago I HAD to stop here. and i wish I hadn’t. the pizza took FOREVER! I mean, it’s not like they prepare the dough fresh or anything. I have no idea what could have taken that long. Not the bartender I remember. I called him Lenny in my head, although i never really asked the guy what his name was. But anyway, no familiar faces and the pizza didn’t taste like it used to either. Not as much goat cheese as I remember and there wasn’t any of the shakers on the table with the parmesan/dried onion stuff. To be perfectly honest, after waiting that long I expected it to taste way better and the pizza was just gross. I could have done better getting a frozen one. Then I could have saved all my wonderful memories of Late Nite Pie. the sign said place order with bartender, although they had a server walking around who didn’t say anything to us or make sure we were ok. And I’m pretty sure they didn’t have anything but coke to drink. seriously? you dont’ even have the syrup for diet coke or for sprite? we went in after 2 so I wasn’t expecting drinks, but it didn’t look like they served alcohol at all anymore. everything looks the same, the décor, the people… but its just not and it made me sad :( Oh and the TV was on FX instead of comedy central. It was ALWAYS on comedy central at night. sometimes change is good, but for this place it obviously is not.

You know that radio commerial where a lady calls the movies to see whether or not she can watch a small portion of the movie for the same price of a frozen pizza? BUYTHEFROZENPIZZA instead of visiting this place. The dive aspect doesn’t bother me; the alternative lifestyles don’t bother me; the BYOB doesn’t bother me; BUT nasty, pasty pizza does bother me.

The pizza is ok. You can’t really say that it is good. The price is about right for an independent pizza place. I like the names of the pizza, but not the pizza so much. It isn’t very greasy which is good. The first time I went the pizza was nice and cheesy. However, the second time I went is was very poorly prepared. Get ready to wait. Both times when I went the wait was around an hour. The staff seems to forget you are there and are more interested in hainging out than working. The place itsel is more than cool. Filthy bathrooms, punk rock juke box, area for live music, air hockey table, etc.

Well, I guess this is a nice place to come when you are drunk and have the beer munchies. The scenery is grungey, and I’m not talkin Kurt Cobain grungey. It reminds me of a stoners bedroom, but whatever, its refreshing and out of the ordinary. The few times I have been brave enough to order food here, my request has never come back correct. The first time I ate here my waitress must have been hallucinating or something because she could hardly speak, let alone remember our order. The second time I ate here, my server was a lady/man. He/she was very polite, so I’m not goin to hate. But the dude/chick STILL didnt get the order correct. It’s all good though, they gave us the mistake pizza for free. The pizza here is actually very good, they have awesome toppings. I once tried a pizza here called«The Stanky Whore.» It comes with garlic, goat cheese, and anchovies. That combination of flavors, I must admit, is quite amazing. Just brush your teeth after eating. The bathroom here looks like a scene out of that movie SAW. There is graffiti everywhere. Some dude was chained to the toilet, he was trying to saw his foot off. I let him borrow my cell phone to call for help.(JK) If you’re a hippie and you stank, you might enjoy Late Nite Pie. I support hole in the wall restaurants. However, just because you are open late and cater to the local drunk scene, doesn’t mean you should allow the place to look sketchy and have poor service. I would love to see these guys step up there game. The restaurant has great potential. A fun place, very unique, just kinda creepy. I give 2 stars only because the food was good.

I stumbled into Late Night Pie with a large group of friends for an after party. Altogether there was around 30 of us but not really one cohesive group. One thing that was interesting about the place was the BYOB aspect. Apparently they lost their alcohol license, but I didn’t see this is as much of a problem with a convenience store located across the street. Really it helped to save money. This place is pretty dive-ish, and I can imagine it gets filled to them brim with all sorts, predominately hipster. I mean isn’t that who is usually out late in Montrose? Plus the patio is HUGE. I really enjoyed it, especially late at night… definite chill spot So I place my order for personal pizza, with four toppings. it only comes out to 7.50! Thats pretty cheap considering I «made my own». The staff wasnt super friendly but not really mean either… So then I go back outside to hang out with my friends… and I wait… then I wait… I also waited. It was something like 40 minutes. maybe longer. for a tiny pizza it seemed a bit nuts. the icing on the cake was the fact that my friends who ordered 2 pizzas after me got theirs first… So I headed inside to ask about it, and the people in the kitchen said it was waiting for me at the bar. I go to the bar, and to my delight there is my hearts desire. It was out of reach so I tried flagging down the bar/clerk/waiter dude. He seemed to really want to ignore me. so 3 minutes later I’m carrying my pizza outside. The pizza is good, I have to admit. It wasnt greasy at all. The crust was thin and crackery, kind of nice… The ingredients were also really good. My major advice is dont get the small pizza though, its too small. too much crust to pizza toppings ratio… We were there from Midnight until around 3:30 when they were begging for us to leave. 4 stars for the fun times I had there with fun people…

Sorry, you can’t have a place called«Late Nite Pie» and not be open late night. Went there last night(on a labor day Friday) at midnight and they were already closed. I thought surely this was a mistake but calling the number didn’t help. I distinctly remember going to their old location after 2 am before so I don’t know what’s going on here. Three theories I have are: 1. They are just too mainstream now that they’re in a new location to even try to make customers happy. 2. They are so not mainstream and don’t care about keeping customers happy. 3. Maybe since they spelled the word«Night» as «Nite», they are under no obligation to be open late. For all I know«Nite» may mean 6 pm. Seriously though guys, you were only popular because you were the only pizza place open at 2 am and it was a little different to get pizza that late instead of going to IHOP or Katz’s. That was the entire reason for success as your pizza was pretty average and drunken appetites are not picky. I doubt if people want to go there if the«real» pizza places are still open.

Pizza got here, thrown together slop of a burnt pizza was not worth $ 21 bucks or the 45 minutes the driver took as I live 2 minutes from this place. Late nite pie you suck! Check out the pics

Late Nite Pie gets bonus points for its inventive and imaginatively named specials like«Stanky Whore.» The downside is that it manages only a 3 star review even with the bonus. I prefer slightly tangy sauce to the sweet kind, and this joint delivers on that front. Ingredients are both good quality and fairly priced at $ 1.50 a pop. Too bad the baseline price for a 16″ cheese pizza ties with Pink’s for worst in class. The big problem with a Late Nite pie is the crust: it’s simply too dense and thick to be any good. I have eaten sandwiches with half the bread of a single LNP slice. The lone positive on this front is that the crust gets a nice charred flavor from the oven to keep things slightly interesting. I’d order from here in only three cases: 1) I’m drunk and find myself right in front of its doors 2) it’s late enough that LNP is my only midtown option 3) I decide to do the anti-diet by eating only bread/carbs. Overall, it tastes good if you can get past the crust, but even then, you can do better in Midtown.

My first experience with Late Nite Pie was back when it was a giant garage with a blaring jukebox. It’s had drastic a makeover since. I have been to the new location twice now. The first time I ventured to the new location, I came with a friend. He ordered cheese pizza slices while I ordered one of their small pizzas. His slices came out room temperature with congealed cheese. We had to ask the server to reheat it. My pizza was okay, but not memorable. Second time back, I came alone. I ordered one of their combo pizzas, the Stanky Whore. The wait was longer than usual, even by pizza standards. Judging by the string of cursing from the kitchen, they were having problems. The server reassured me twice the pizza was coming out soon. Damn this whore took forever getting ready. The pizza finally came out hot and fresh. The toppings included goat cheese and mozzarella with anchovies, garlic, and a garlic butter dipping sauce. While I didn’t taste much garlic on the pizza, the garlic dipping sauce more than made up for it. The one major flaw was the crust — hand-tossed thickness, flavorless, and just disappointing. However, the toppings were excellent. Being one that is always more attracted to the stranger sounding combinations, I was not disappointed. As far as the menu goes, you can choose one of their five signature combo pizzas, or you also have the option of creating your own pizza with dipping sauces as an option for an additional dollar. The menu also lists sandwiches, wings, salads, even a hotdog, as well as variety of desserts and beers. The dining area is small, but there’s usually seating at the bar. There is a spacious outdoor patio to enjoy in the back for a smoke or drink. Parking is limited to curbside or in the lot across the street. The lot can be a bumpy experience. Why giant rocks are not cleared out and pits not filled before an area can be designated as parking space, I do not know. It seems to be a very relaxed atmosphere, but that can backfire as well when it comes to staff. My server, while very attentive, wore open-toed sandals and had his nearly waist-long hair unbound. His nails were much too long to be handling peoples’ food. I actually did lose a bit of my appetite. Will I be back? Probably. Late hours and beer are the redeeming factors. I enjoy the concept. Just wish the execution was a little better. However if you are not in a hurry and just want a place to drink and eat late with the night-owls, this might be your kind of place. This venue attracts an interesting crowd some nights. So if you indulge in people watching, you will enjoy the show on a crowded night.

Pizza is one of my favoritest things, but Late Nite Pie isn’t the place to get it. I know better than to show up at a bar in the wee hours and expect either edible food or acceptable service. That’s why a friend and I went about 6 pm for dinner. The place is kinda funky and bar-like, which is sort of cool. There was only one other table of two. Otherwise, the place was empty. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, the jukebox had some good music going, and our order arrived at the table in a decent amount of time. Ok, that’s the good part of the review. The pizza pretty well sucks! The crust is flavorless cardboard, the sauce and cheese are both bland, and it’s pretty light on the toppings. It’s quite expensive for what it is too, and what it is is basically Red Baron. I bet if I looked in their dumpster, I’d find the boxes. Save yourself the time and go somewhere else. Frank’s, Pink’s, One’s A Meal, Luigi’s, wherever. Just somewhere that has good pizza, which is not Late Nite Pie anyway. At the very least, run to Kroger and get your own Red Baron for a lot cheaper!

I came here late night a couple weeks ago for the namesake item: Late Nite Pie. Unfortunately they were out of cheese, so there was no pie. They pushed us onto their bbq instead. The bbq was okay, but at 2 am in the morning, there’s going to be some lapse in quality control. The items obviously aren’t fresh, and I don’t expect it. The bbq was okay, but kinda dry. Eventually they got some cheese from some random gas station or grocery store and was able to make some pizzas, but sadly after the long wait, the pizza wasn’t all that. Salty dough, and it really didn’t taste that great. Next time we’ll stick with the tried and true Taco Cabana for late night eats.

Yeah. really? a $ 5 cover for a late night pizza slice? meh. Pizza wasn’t tasty at all. The only good thing we got out of this place was the service from the short-haired waitress. Other than that, what a waste of money.

So after leaving Taps House of Beer, we got hungry. I didn’t want greek food so I thought a big slice of pizza will do. Cousin said someone told her Late Nite Pie was good. I just wanted to find a nice little joint that was open where I could sit and eat. So walking in, there was a table in front saying, $ 5 cover charge… are you freakin serious??? Then I realized why probably… it was part club. I dunno… music was so loud and the people seemed… weird. But still to charge $ 5 for a person who just wants to eat… you gotta be kidding me! I only ordered a slice of pepperoni and ate some frito pie. Pizza was just ok… nothing special… frito pie… it was just ok. I think I’ve had better. This place was just blasting with music. So if you like weird music, like to talk or scream at each other, this might be the place for you… but not for me…

After seeing a good Unilocal rating, my girlfriends and I decided to order from them while in town last weekend. We ordered our pizza at 1:20AM at a bar across from the Four Seasons(we were staying there). When I placed the order, the gentleman on the phone was polite and said that I had to order with a credit card since it was so late and that it would be a 45min-hour delivery time. We ordered the pizza, finished our drinks and walked back to our hotel. When we walked in I informed the doorman that Late Nite Pie would be delivering a pizza around 2:20AM. He said they would let them through and it would be no problem. We waited… at 2:30AM I called Late Nite Pie and spoke with the same gentleman that took the order. He said that they were backed up and to give the delivery person 5 minutes. We waited… At 2:45 we received a call from the delivery driver asking if we could meet her downstairs in 5mins. to get the pizza. I asked her why she would not bring the pizza to the room. She said that typically they do not allow her to come in the Four Seasons. I asked her if she had even tried, she said no. I informed her that I had already spoken with the Doorman and that they were expecting her. At 2:55AM we received another call from her. There was no «hello», no «excuse me», there was yelling«I need you to come downstairs and get your pizza!!!» I asked her why and she said that they would not let her in. When I arrived downstairs she was standing at the elevators by herself. There were not keys to use, no security codes or guards just LAZINESS. By this time you can imagine my disapointment. I signed the credit card slip and proceeded to walk off where I was rudely shouted to «What, no tip?» That is when I laughed and told her some of my own tips for her and the company. First, tell someone an ACCURATE time. Second, at least TRY to do your job. And finally third, be POLITE. Never again will I order from them.

Had the itallian stallion after getting back from the east coast on a late flight at 12:00 am. Pink’s was an option too, but we opted to try this as it was a little cheaper. All in all I was generally pleased, it does exactly what you think it will. However the garlic on the itallian stallion was a little overwhelming. I typically love garlic, but this was too much. I understand the idea though, you come in all wasted, you’ve been smoking fags trying to kill yourself, your taste buds are all whacked out and dead, you need a little bit of extra punch to get the taste across. To that end I’m sure had I been blitzed and stumbled in here at 1:30 — 2:00 am I wouldn’t have noticed the garlic. So not that big a deal. I’d like to try some of their other more creatively topped pizza’s in the future. I probably would request that they bake that sucker and extra 3 or 4 minutes though, I like a little more snap to my pizza. All in all not bad at all, the pizza was pretty good for the cost, they have a bar, and it’s 4 blocks from my house.

So you know Larae M. and I travel as a pair… and if you didn’t, then catch a freakin’ clue! I was part of that late night crew that descended upon Late Nite Pie in the wee morning hours after a fierce dance-fest at a nearby club(aka my weekend home). I can’t say I was nearly as hungry as the rest, but I attribute that to an overuse of alcoholic beverages during said dance-fest. Needless to say I was hypnotized by The Boss that was brought out before me and indulged in half a slice… had there been room for a whole I would have inhaled it, but the Shiner was taking up too much room still. Love the waitresses for keeping the water pitchers full and not spitting on our pizza for all the sarcastic, drunken remarks spilling out of our mouths! Strangely enough I’ve never been to LNP before and I’m always drunk and craving pizza almost every time I’m in their general area??? But now I have the great memories and the pic in my profile at the front door to remember it by! I’ll definitely be back… maybe next weekend? :oP

For pizza late night, Late Night Pie is a unique eatery for pizza, subs, and beer. It’s a short taxi ride from most locations, or if you drive, there’s a small parking lot. If you do take a cab, call one in advance so you can get picked up, as there aren’t many cabs coming through this area for random pick-ups. ATMOSPHERE Looks like it was an old car repair shop converted to an urban underground pizza shop, clearly loved by locals and late night drunken clubbers who flock in around 2:30AM. What used to be garage doors are still garage doors, but remain open for an outdoor-seating feel. The bathroom’s a bit dank, but I suppose it does the trick. Booths line a wall and tall bar tables are equipped with tall stools and the servers outfits and personalities suit the overall aura. PIZZAS The pies can be ordered by the slice or by the whole and with names such as «Stanky Whore,» how can you resist loving it? Well, the cheese and sauce are a’ight, but the crust hits just below par. When you’re drunk and hungry, though, each bite is satisfying. Late Night Pie is open from 5 until 3AM and serves booze from $ 2.5. Mmmm…
