This is my go to bakery. They are open everyday, and their bread are delicious. Usually it’s hard for me to find a great bakery, so I was happy when I found this one. They also serve tortas, tamales, and other delicious food. I love their borracho bread, and their conchas. Definitely check this place out.

I really like this bakery. I grew up with their very first bakery located on Chimney rock and my favorite bread there has always been their sweet Empanadas. This place opened up and I hesitated a long time. I went to it during a holiday party and just picked up all kinds of breads. Holiday breakfast«Mexican» party was awesome!!! The bread was a hit with hot chocolate La Abuelita, which they sell there too. The owners are very very friendly and they have always been superb with their customers. I personally like their bread a bit more then ARANDAS bakery.

Best bread on this side of town! If you are close by you need to stop & take home some bread for breakfast. .=)

I’m not a fan of Mexican bakeries, but I do admit that I like this one. And because I don’t usually like Mexican bakeries, and this one is far superior than the one in Fiesta, I have to give this one a good rating. I’m used to Latin bakeries that utilize more cream and Mexican bakeries tend to sell more«bread» than cream type of pastries. Nonetheless, I had two things here that will make me come back often — even though it’s just for those two things. But you should try them too… 1) Espejos(English: Mirrors) — flaky(hojaldre) pastries with cream cheese and a sugary caramel glaze on top 2) Bombas con crema pastelera or «donut rellenas»(English: filled donuts; Italian: bombolones) — fried donut with sugar on the outside and a baker’s cream inside, similar to Boston crème I was pleasantly surprised by the bombas since I don’t normally see them around Houston and it’s usually an Italian or South American treat rather than Mexican. And here, they make it well. And while the espejos are uniquely Mexican, I enjoy the pastries very much. They’ll satisfy any one of your sweet tooth, and at an excellent price!

I have bought almost everything in this bakery. Tres leches cakes are delicious, their pan dulce is fresh and sooo good. Arroz con leche, flan, gelatin– great, great, and great. We’ve ordered many customized birthday cakes, never disappointed. We always brag about this place and will continue to do so.

Large variety of pastries and desserts that are super cheap. Just remember it is a Mexican bakery so orejas are with powdered sugar and flan is sweeter than Vietnamese.

Great tres leches. Area is fine, plenty of families and cops.
