I had severe chronic pain and tightness in my pirisformis that would make moving and sleeping difficult. I started going to Maya and she was able to work it out every time. She also recommended I check out the Egoscue clinic and from that recommendation I was able to completely get rid of my pain in that area. She not only does a great massage but will try to assist with the true root of the problem.

Went in there for a much needed prenatal massage, and it was perfect! As a fellow mommy herself, Mya really knows what you need regardless of what trimester you’re in. With less than four weeks to go, I went in there feeling miserable and came out feeling like a million dollars. I’m hoping to go back at least one more time before the baby gets here. I highly recommend her for all expecting mothers!

I have gotten deep tissue massages all over Houston, including at the Trellis and other more expensive day spas. Maya is one of the most skilled therapists I have seen. She can find knots and pressure points within seconds. I will be coming back as a regular.

I have been getting massages from Mya for about 4 years now. I have followed her from her previous locale to her more recent one at Nia Moves in the Heights.
Mya used to be in pharmaceutical sales before making the switch to massage therapist. You might see these two professions as being very different. However, the longer I know Mya the more I understand how one could relate to the other. You see Mya is a very intelligent person and knows how to make her customers happy. If you tell her you have pain or stiffness in an area, she uses her knowledge and extensive training to take care of you.
Personally, I like deep tissue massages which focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. This can be painful, but just because I’m a masochist doesn’t mean you have to be. ;) Mya also excels at the good ol’ Swedish massage and everything in between. In short, she is awesome!

I LOVE Mya! I am very particular about my massages. I like a firm touch. Mya is firm when needed and gentle when needed. She is great about investigating issues and resolving the issues. I always have relief after a visit with Mya. The quality of massage is high and the price is low. I think she should raise her rates!
