Come if you’re ready to wait 25 minutes for sub par shaved ice. Seriously waiting out in the heat for 25 minutes for shaved iced is just crazy and I can’t believe we did it. But it will be the last time. The covered patio is nice to hang out at while you’re cooling down.

The snow cones were definitely refreshing after driving around in the heat. The flavors were ridiculously insane because they have so many! I brought my little cousin that doesn’t know how to read yet so you can only imagine me quickly skimming for the crazy names he would like since the line was getting longer. I didn’t get a chance to pick a cool flavor for myself after taking care of the kids, but definitely next time. The mom and daughter that were working were very sweet and quick! I wished they had a size smaller than small for kids because my little cousin couldn’t hold it in the car and enjoy it without squeezing the cup so that it over flowed. Definitely recommend on a hot day! Beats driving around looking for those snow cone trucks! Advice: –the small is more than plenty! –definitely get the condensed milk!!! –ask for one toppings worth of gummy bear and I think they’ll placed them in a ziploc bag, which you can share amongst the little ones.

There were about 10 people in front of me, but we only had about a 10 minute wait. It was worth it! They have many different flavors and«concoctions» that will please anyone. If you order two flavors they ask if you want it mixed or side by side. There was plenty of juice to go along with the ice. PERFECT summer treat. My husband and I got two mediums for $ 5 and some change.

Best snowcones ever. I have been a loyal customer for at least a decade! The softest most flavorful youll find hands down!

Love this place! I go at least once a week! Why do I love it so much? They have a variety of different flavors you can choose from and is very affordable. I always spend less than $ 5, and I add toppings to my snow-cones! Usually condensed milk(they are not stingy with it), and ice cream(make sure to give that a try it’s very good).

This is my first summer in Houston and it gets hot, so I was on the prowl for a good sno ball and found oasis! The sno ball from here was very good. I asked for extra juice and the lady had an attitude with me. Didn’t like that being that I did pay for it. Will look for another place to get my sno balls!

Delicious! My hubby and I love snowballs in the summertime, and we usually drive out to Mam’s for some. Now that we have found this hidden gem, we are beyond excited! It’s within a 5 mile radius from home and is absolutely yummy in our tummies!

I went on a wild goose-chase trying to hunt this place down! First of all the address listed on Unilocal is incorrect… I have submitted a correction BUT just in case they don’t change it 2602 S Dairy Ashford is where this gem is hidden. And I do mean hidden… in the old location there is a teeny tiny sign I drove past 3 times that lists the new address. I’m looking for a prominent snow-cone trailer clearly visible from Westheimer/Dairy Ashford not hidden behind my least favorite building this side of the beltway(you know the building… the one with the huge sign showing nasty teeth and the family practice gynecology with stupid looking statues encompassing the parking lot). Once I find the stand there is a line about 6 deep. I honestly almost turned around right then, but something inside me told me to stick it out and I’m glad I did! This is by far the fastest snow cone line I’ve been in. Before I even had a chance to look at the gazillion flavors it was my turn. Everyone has their favorite snow cone flavor… you always have plans to try something new and exciting but at the last minute go back the your old stand-by(mine is half strawberry half lime) but this time I actually did it! Tigers blood! And it was oh so good. Not only was the flavor good but me-oh-mya the ice texture was pretty close to perfect. Oasis isn’t *as* good as shave ice from Hawaii(an unfair comparison I know) but the fact that the service is fast & friendly, the ice texture is really good and most importantly the location(as hidden as it is) is closer to my house than any other snowball stand earns this place 5 big ones. Will I be back here? No doubt.

The location and servvice is spot on. The small snowcone trailor is visible from Dairy Ashford and sits in a huge parkling lot of a banquet hall next to a oil/lube shop. You better believe if the sun is shining Oasis is open for business. There is no joy like rolling up and and seeing they are ready to serve my sweet tooth. I have tried everything from Dreamsicle to Muddy Sneakers. Georgia delight(peach, strawberry and vanilla) with extra extra condensed milk is by far my old faithful favorite but recently I have ventured out to try delicious creamy flavors like wedding cake & frech vanilla. I have also fallen in LOVE with Toasted Marshmellow and Hazlenut. The prices are fair and there are 4 sizes ranging $ 2 — $ 6. I dare you to get the Texas Size! Don’t worry if you can’t finish it in one sitting. Simply pop any left overs in the freezer to preserve. When you’re ready to get back to the magic just remove from the freezer and sit out 10 minutes before going in. Huge posters are plastered over the front diplaying all their custom flavor combiniations and individual flavors that can be mixed and matched if you choose. There are literally hundreds to choose from. Have fun and don’t worry if you can’t try everything the first time around. I can only imagine how packed this place gets over the summer. Before I started Unilocaling this place I never saw other customers during my visit. Don’t park directly in front of the window. GIve others and their children the opportunity to view the menu safely. There is plenty of parking to pick up togo or to dine in the car. The immediate are is safe. Never winessed anything out of the ordinary here. There is a big of an incline getting into the parking lot so you may wan to slow down upon entry/exit.

Went here yesterday, since I was dying of the Houston heat. Well I must say it was satisfying! It’s no red wagon but it’s the closest thing to it on the south west side of Houston.

The best sno balls in the Western part of Houston. This is the closes you will get to a New Orleans sno ball. Two things that makes a quality snoball is soft ice & bold flavors. This place has both. Remember…CASHONLY!

The snowcones are tasty here! Of course, I’ve had better though. I go here all of the time during the summer before and after my visits to the pool. I usually get wedding cake, spearmint, bubblegum & the rootbeer float. The service isn’t all that great– but who cares! I’m there for a quick treat, not to check out the service. Great for the kiddies!

Go here if you are tired of Sonic Slushies! I love a good snow ball. We missed Sonics Happy Hours and this place has that really good shaved ice. It reminds me of Pandora’s Snowballs in New Orleans! It’s located in a shopping center parking lot, and is in a mobile concession stand. The prices are reasonable. I ordered a small for $ 2. The prices go up in 50 cent increments. You can add cream or condensed milk for 50 cent also. I ordered a small wedding cake with condensed milk and it was awesome. Next time I think I’ll order a strawberry cheesecake or a root beer float. YUMMY!!! I went with my sister and she could not make up her mind and the lady attendant was really nice suggesting flavors. She ended up getting the Monster Madness with cream and it was really tangy. I ordered a Tiger Blood for my mom and it tasted like a Popsicle. They have several flavors and popular mixes. They serve other things like pickles, candy, and chips.

The summer’s nearing and my taste buds have been wanting sno-cones, I don’t know why!!! Think I’m just going through another phase… oh boy. Soooooo, driving home… I spotted this little spot up north on Veterans Memorial… it said Oasis Snowball! I remembered reading Long’s review and thought I’d give it a whirl. They have a drive thru but it’s kinda weird cuz really you just park your car next to the window. there is really no driveway… that girl probably thought I was a dumba$$ when she saw me turn around in circles. So I ordered myself a Tiger’s Blood. Refreshing. Tastes just like Mam’s…but at Mam’s I put in condensed milk, and unfortunately I didn’t like it as much. Or maybe they just added too much. Prices range from $ 1.75 to around $ 3… I forgot. Increments of .50 a size up I believe. So it’s about the same price at Mam’s. Anyways, I’m glad they have one up north, and I hope it stays there. So if you live up north close to the Belt and Veterans Memorial. save some gas and stop by here! Happy slurping!

It’s hot. It’s humid. You need some snow in your mouth and you’re stuck on the west side of town nowhere near MAM’s House of Ice Snoballs in the Heights. No problem. I was super excited to find out that there was another snow ball place in Houston… and down the street from my office. I finally remembered to swing by today and yes indeed that have many of the same flavors that MAM’s has… I was able to indulge in a cup of Superman… a blend of Tiger’s Blood and Dreamsicle… although I just now realized I totally forgot to add condensed milk… D’oh! Oh well you can count on me returning to the scene of the snow in the near future… As for hours, I asked and the nice lady told me that they have been there for about a year and that they are open on most days from about noon til 7 or 8pm… depending on how busy they are and whether or not the weather is good… so basically if business has been slow and/or it’s raining, they may not be open… however, I can definitely count on coming by for a post-lunch dessert on a hot sunny day.
