I don’t understand how people are giving the pizza here a good review. Maybe they just don’t know what good pizza is being that they haven’t ventured out of Texas? Well I am not from Texas and I find it insulting that this place calls this NY style pizza. I got the meats thin crust NY style pizza and let me tell you… if you want a bland tasting pizza that is nowhere near what NY style is then by all means come here. Personally I have yet to find a really good pizza place in Houston.

pizza by the slice or by the whole pie is fantastic, i always go and order it and then wait in the bar area, watch tv and have a beer or 2, the ranch on the side is a must, also their rolls you need to get with extra garlic oil on the side. the prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. I grew up with a napolis in a small town by dallas, then didn’t have it for years, came to houston and found a pizza place that gets me, this place! i have missed it, I AM so sad the other day i was craving it, and they are temporarily closed, which is okay, i hope that they are doing great business and with that are closed down for renovations, to expand business. my only worry about this place for the last 3 years has been that papa zacks wouldn’t get enough business, close down, and break my heart. but i have faith, so try it out and you will thank me. LONGLIVEPAPAZACKS, and yes I should get a free beer on the house for this amazing review.

Food was great! Could have been warmer. Had pizza & pasta-meatballs. Took about 1 ½ to get delivery! Two mls away.

Solid Italian food, they also serve pretty much anything you ask for. If your undecided on a burger or a pizza get the pizza burger. They also have calamari and everything else. Ask for Blake he is typically sitting in a both by the window, great story teller…

They just changed to gourmet burgers and pizzas(same owners) and the burgers are crazy good. Homemade daily bread, homemade BBQ sauce, and slow booked beef. Can’t wait to come back.

They are actually reopened! I think the owner is the same, Papa Zack, but the name of the restaurant is different now. They have burgers now too. I tried their Tex Mex Pizza with chicken, it is really good! Highly recommend!

Saddened that this place is temporarily closed! Can’t wait for this place to open up so I can come in during a lunch break. Ready the lasagna I love so much from this establishment!

We ordered a large supreme pizza with no olives, and paid extra for garlic knots and jalapenos on the pizza. We got no bread or jalapeños, and the pizza was covered in olives. I’m not sure how often they make these mistakes, as this is the first time I have tried it, but even without the mistakes on the order, the pizza quality was poor. This will definitely be the last time, as well. The mozzarella sticks quality is the only reason I am giving even two stars.

Whatever you do please do not go eat here. The service was terrible and the food was just as bad. Even the manager was very discourteous and not accommodating. I would not give this restaurant one star but I had to in order to post this review. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the food but just know it was less than appetizing.

I ordered food for delivery. Pizza was amazing and they sent a surprise cannoli as well.

Service was a little bad. Mozzarella sticks weren’t that great plus they came after I finished my meal. When I showed my waiter my phone for the Unilocal coupon, he took my phone to his manager and didn’t return my phone for at least 5 minutes which I wasn’t happy about. Didn’t receive plates for everyone for my pizza. Not a great place at all. Probably wouldn’t come here again, but I’ll try out a different location.

Papa Zach, We live in the area and were wanting to have italian food this evening but our oven broke. So we decided to come around the corner to your restaurant and give it a try. I had looked on Unilocal before and had seen that the reviews were great! NOTINTHISCASEATALL! Patrice was our server and could have not cared at all about our table. We were a party of two and it seemed like an inconvenience for us to be there. We were greeted by another lady who was very nice but once Patrice took over our table thing went south very quickly. My girlfriend and I had taken a few minutes to really examine the menu and we kept getting asked if we were ready. After taking about 5 minutes we had to get Patrice’s attention to actually come over and take our order.(Mind you it was not busy at all) She proceeded to take our order and as my girlfriend got halfway through her order, Patrice stopped her and told us to wait a minute so she could get some paper to write down our order! Isn’t it her job to be prepared? After ordering, we thought everything would have been fine. Our salads came out first and they tasted great but to be honest, the amount of water that was in the bottom of the bowl from not drying the lettuce was very unappetizing. Then came the entrees. I ordered the Rigatoni Jude and she ordered the linguini with Clams with white sauce. Hers came out correct but mine came out completely wrong. We tried to get Patrice’s attention for about 10 minutes but when it came time to tell her that we were not pleased she proceeded to try and argue with us. We are both in the restaurant industry and its something that you just don’t do. NEVERARGUEWITHTHEGUEST!!! I asked her to read the menu to me since she was not understanding. We were finally able to get the other lady’s attention and address the problem. She was very helpful and fixed the problem. Patrice however neglected our table for the rest of the night. So much in fact that we got up to get our own refills as we watched her talk to the entire staff and have her back to us. We were wanting to come back and try again, especially because we live so close but after tonight’s experience we will never return. Please rethink about hiring people who might have a little or at least a great amount of restaurant experience to accommodate your restaurant. She was very rude, unhelpful, and very unprofessional.

Took an hour for nothing special to reach my establishment. the order was wrong the salad dressing tasted like nothing but balsamic vinegar. it’s not hard to make good pizza but i didn’t receive what I had ordered. they sent me another pizza free of charge. I would have rather they refunded the money. At that point I wasn’t interested in another halfway decent pizza. in totality I would say just avoid it unless your starving.

I stopped in here one week to grab some lunch and work on my computer while my car was in the shop down the road. The lady at the car shop recommended it to me. There is a Starbucks next door with Wifi, but they don’t have wine and Italian food, do they! The waitress was pleasant and sat me at a large table in the back corner by the bar so I could plug in and stay awhile. They were not irritated that I was going to park it there for several hours either which was super cool. They checked on me now again when I had food, but left me alone after I was done eating. It was really a pleasant place to work for a few hours. I ordered from the lunch menu and had the mushroom fettuccini alfredo. They brought me over some fresh rolls and this super fresh and flavorful olive oil with basil, tomato and garlic. It was so good! I truly could have had that for lunch alone and been just fine. The lunch also came with a salad — which also was crisp, but a bit basic. The alfredo was creamy, but not too thick and the mushrooms were a very nice earthy addition. I loved the flavor it had and the pasta was cooked just right. It was a large portion, so I was able to have dinner too that night! I’m happy I stopped in here and would certainly go back. The pizzas coming out looked tasty too, so I’ll have to try them out next time.

If you can hold your breath getting past the odor of the matted hair and smelly unshaven armpits of the Starbucks crowd next door, and find a shoehorn to wedge yourself into the cramped seating area of the small restaurant(hopefully you thought ahead and dressed lightly, since the air conditioning is a bit wanting), then you finally have negotiated the obstacle course and get to settle into the supreme joy of Napoli’s unique cross between a dinner roll and warm bread, and you can now slather your serving of garlic and herbed olive oil onto it. Imbibe the joy of the amazing taste that causes your inner child to proclaim, «That’s the stuff.» Relax. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy this gratis appetizer, since it will be a while before you see any other food. But fear not, it’s all worth it. Truly, this is the real deal from the motherland, or fatherland(I’m from Texas, myself). It’s that almost impossible to find real Italian food that you keep craving but never seem to find. Enjoy. Relax. It’s going to be a while, and your boss is going to always be unpleasant whether you are a few minutes late or not. I got the lasagna. Yes. And I mean that.

Quick stop over before my painting class at pinot’s. I only had takeout, but was impressed they make the pizza fresh vs. pre-made slices. I actually saw them chopping fresh ingredients to go on my pizza. 10 minutes later I was out. The supreme pizza had no sauce which was interesting. It did have a lot of ingredients such as mushrooms, ham, pepperoni, green peppers. The slice is fairly big about ¼ of a pizza and around $ 4. The crust is my favorite part and it was only ok on this pizza. A great place to stop by if you want fresh pizza fast!

«Dinner is served. Puttanesca. What did you call me? It’s pasta… Pasta Puttanesca.» — Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events(2004) What to do when traveling, get in late to the hotel and have no energy to go out? Order on Eat24 through Unilocal.Very convenient and pretty easy to do. It showed up in 40 minutes, but the delivery guy grabbed the wrong order from his car — so he had to run back down and get the right one… so 45 minutes for delivery. I got the Greek Salad, Linguini with mushrooms and Alfredo sauce and added garlic knots. So here is what the app(and the website) do not tell you — you get garlic knots with your pasta automatically. So here I was in a hotel(for 1 night) with 4 garlic knots when 1(maybe 2) would have been plenty! That was a waste of $ 2 and food that was thrown out. The salad was good — the sent plenty of dressing and it was packed full of the right items you expect in a good Greek salad, just maybe a few too many onions for my taste. The pasta was excellent — cooked al dente and the mushrooms were well cooked. It was a bit over sauced for me so I would probably choose to get that on the side next time — again personal preference. The garlic knots were awesome. I could have eaten more than one and a half if it wasn’t crazy late and had been a long day. I bet these are even better when they are piping hot right to the table when you eat on site. Overall — I would order from here again and would eat at the restaurant as well. A good find for Houston that I will keep bookmarked.

I don’t know how this place stays open — it is NEVER busy in the evenings. It must do a brisk lunch. The rolls and garlicky olive oil they give you are delish. I could eat my weight in the rolls. Aside from that I’ve had the lasagna, the spaghetti and meat sauce and the chicken alfredo. Avoid the chicken alfredo. It tasted like canned chicken or old sauce or something. Something was definitely off. However, the lasagna is incredible. As was the meat sauce. I don’t know why there is such a disparity there, but there is. Parking is almost a nightmare — it shares a building with a busy Starbucks and is in a center with other busy places. The manager/waiter is a good looking guy who will take care of you and is friendly enough.
