Painting with a Twist

ZPB — Lambda Zeta Chapter had a fantastic and successful Painting with a PURPOSE night. Not only was it a fabulous reclamation event because of great paint instructors and fun music, we also was able to raise money for our ZPB scholarship fund to help girls of color go to college in Houston! Thank you Painting with a Purpose for making dreams come true! We have already been asked to make this an annual event!

Me and my Sorors had a blast on Sorority night and our instructor Amber was the best!!! She made it very easy for us to follow along with her and also along with painting we played a game and the winner of the game got to chose a very great present! I loved every moment. Thanks again Amber :)

I signed up for a paint your pet class and it was cancelled via email the night before with no explanation. A refund was offered, which I will take. It’s just very disappointing since the paint your pet classes are only offered about once a month, I had already arranged my schedule around this event, plus I had sent in a picture of my pet and was very much looking forward to it. Will not be signing up for another class.

My experience could not have been better! Our instructor, Stacie is highly talented and was able to get us into her class with ease. I am very pleased with my painting! I get so many compliments on it… so much fun! Girls night out for my sister’s birthday… memories she’ll never forget! Thank you PWAT…

Our private party contacted them and committed to 10 people coming, and then they were able to pick the painting of choice and give the attendees a passcode to use to register in advance with the $ 35 fee.
The main room is small but they pack a ton of people in there. The private room is maybe half as big as the other room, and seems to fit maybe 24. The bathroom is in this private room, as it was in another PWAT I’ve been to, but in this one, the door is directly facing the room and not tucked back in a corner, so it’s a little awkward and there’s often a line of people up in your party– and if we had more people there would’ve been no space for them with people sitting on the barstools against the wall. At some point, the bathroom got super nasty and became unusable.
Plastic cups and paper plates were provided along with a large table for snacks, etc. at the back and I think they also provided the bucket of ice for us to put our wine bottles in.
The instructor did a good job of explaining it, even if he called me out for being too mathematical about it. Unlike my last PWAT experience, there weren’t really any fun games or activities during the ‘break.’ We played song trivia the second half, but it was just yelling out the name and artist of each song that played the rest of the night.

Great fun for all! Glad this finally found a home in the heights. Girls night out, couple date… go have some fun.
