For some reason, I absolutely love pappasitos. It’s the number one place I always want to dine in. Food here is always good, every single time that I come. Enchiladas are nice and cheesy, and chips and salsa are delicious. I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but you’d be surprised what a Mexican restaurants chips and salsa can tell you about the whole restaurant right off the bat. Staff is always nice and friendly. Have never had to wait too ridiculously long, which is impressive considering how busy this place gets. Would recommend everyone try pappasitos.

What’s not to love about Pappasitos?! This location never disappoints. The staff is very well trained and they’re always making sure you have what you need. My favorite is the ultimate wave because you only need one!

We were in town for a conference and on the recommendation from someone who is from the Houston area, we tried out Pappasito’s. We sat at the bar, which had plenty of room, and the bartenders were extremely attentive. They had about 6 beers on tap and several other selections in bottles. Even when the floor servers needed drinks from the bar, the bartenders were still on point. One of the bartenders told me about some items that were not on the menu and recommended the Texas Red Fish tacos. These tacos are simply amazing. Apparently, it’s a new item they are trying out and in my opinion, they need to keep it. Even one of the chefs(Kelly) came out to check on our meals and see if we need anything. The food was outstanding along with the service. I highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. They even make their tortillas fresh on the spot.

We decided to have a nice family dinner and a few drinks at Pappasito’s last night. When the waitress delivered our chips, they were stale and greasy. The green sauce lacked flavor and the red sauce wasn’t good either. We ordered the beef and chicken fajitas that serve 1 to 2. They came oozing blood so we asked that they be taken back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, they brought out more. The serving size was very small and not worth the price. We were very disappointed to say the least. We have frequented Pappasito’s for years but won’t be going back any time soon, it was $ 50 + down the drain.

Great margaritas, this location seems to make them stronger than any of the others. I like the brisket tacos the most, but it’s all good.

On our last night in town, my husband and I had dinner here with Papa H and Mrs. H. They told us that it’s their favorite place to get Tex-Mex in the city, so I was excited to give it a try! We started with the queso to go with the complimentary chips and salsas. One of the salsas was looked and tasted like any classic salsa and was very smooth and finely chopped. the other was a cilantro avocado salsa — it was blended and very creamy. It was different from anything I’d ever had at a Mexican restaurant and I quite enjoyed it! As for our entrees, both of us couples ended up sharing the same dishes. We both got the Chicken Fajitas and then added a half rack of ribs. Hubby and I got the single portion of the meat and our parents got the double. I ate the ribs all my myself because hubby wasn’t in the mood for them. They were fantastic! They had a great smoke line, delicious seasoning and a nice BBQ sauce to go with it! I did try a bite of of the fajitas and I loved them! The best part was really the freshness and the quality of all the ingredients — you can really taste a difference. The double portion really was a ton of food! My in-laws had plenty of left-overs to take home and enjoy later! Next time we’re in town, I know we’ll visit this place again! And most likely I will want those ribs!

We just relocated to Texas and were looking for a place to get some Tex-Mex while out running errands, after searching Unilocal we found Pappasito’s. I am so glad we did! After telling our waitress we were new to the area she had the manager come over to say hello. Both he and our waitress were so nice and the manager even gave us a free queso appetizer. The fajitas were great and both of my young boys loved the rice with their quesadillas. We will be back for the food and more importantly for the customer service!

Just like the other locations I have been to, this Pappasitos did not disappoint at all. We had a group of 20 come in last minute after a graduation. We thought for sure we would have a hard time finding any place to eat with such a big group. We were wrong! This location greeted us with a smile and started working on our table immediately. Within 10 minutes they had our table ready! Our waiter Justin was really friendly and was really patient with our big group. We decided to make things easy and ordered the chicken and beef fajita combo that serves 4 – 5 people. We did that times 4. Justin went to each person individually and asked what kind of beans we would like. I always go for the charro beans here. Good stuff! The fajitas came out on the sizzling platters shortly after and there was plenty to go around. Along with rice and beans, each person got a small plate with all the fixings(cheese, sour cream, pico, guacamole). All four platters advertise as being able to feed 4 – 5 people each, but we could’ve easily fed another 6 people. That’s taking into account all 20 of us had to be rolled out of there because we were so full. The fajitas are some of the best in town. Their chips and salsa were on point too! I’ll definitely remember to come back to feed our army on special occasions!

30 minute wait on a Monday night. Very loud dinning area. Nice server. Chicken a little undercooked. Good food. Fun atmosphere.

Awesome food, amazing service! It was our first visit and they were on a wait so we decided to eat at the bar. All the staff was friendly. Overall one of the best restaurant first time experiences, and I work in the hospitality industry.

I love Pappsitos, I usually get the daily lunch special due to time and price. Food is always hot and fresh and delicious. I have never had a bad meal from here. Plenty of seating and everyone on staff is always friendly and helpful. Price is a little high but it is not a Denny’s after all. You pay a little more for good food. I use the order to go feature mainly. I call in my order 10 – 15 mins before then pick up. My two favs I highly recommend are the Tequila Lime Salad with grilled chicken breast and also the Baja Fish Tacos. Yum!!!

Overall: This location is loud and busy at night(week nights and weekends) Usually seated within 20 minutes during peak hours and a great meet in the middle venue when Hubby and I meet family or friends from north Houston. Food comes out quick, staff is friendly and efficient, no mistakes on orders that I recall in several visits. Food: Free chips and two salsas when seated. Homemade tortillas. Unlimited refills. Fajitas are half price on Wednesdays. Melted butter for pouring over fajitas is available.(I do not partake) Atmosphere: –Bar area, patio, lots of indoor seating, private rooms available –Loud, loud, loud– not a fan of the acoustics –Even patio is noisy due to location on I-45

If Mexican style seafood is your thing this is the place. On a weekday lunch it was noisy, crowded, but the service was still fast and friendly. The chips were thin and crispy, their extra hot sauce was really hot(Mikey likes it)! We added queso and guacamole for the table. Both were nice, but the guac needed salt which was easily remedied. The steak borrito was great and the whole table was happy.

I haven’t been here in years and one of my friends decided we should go! I have to say the services was great and the drink was good! I had better and cheaper drinks at chilli’s! What I didn’t like was there wasn’t many choices on the menu. I finally decided to go with the burrito which was 15 dollars on the lunch menu. I could have went to gringos and got one much cheaper and one I would have enjoyed. The burrito was OK but not the best I have had. I want go anymore!

So my wife and I were up and out way before everyone else. We had already been shopping and needed to grab a bite before heading to the crawfish festival. I haven’t eaten at Pappasito’s in years and decided we’d come here because I wanted Mexican food. We walked in and the hostess was ready to seat us and we requested a booth. There was a booth that was empty but just needed to be cleaned. The hostess, several wait staff, the bus boy and a manager continued to walk by the dirty table. The restaurant wasn’t packed or very busy, but apparently everyone was too busy to clean a dirty table to accommodate more guests. The table finally got cleaned and we were seated. We sat there about 10 minutes, browsing the menu and the waiter finally came over and took our drink orders and food orders. He left and was gone for a while, finally brought our drinks, chips and salsa(side eye). Our food finally came out: I ordered the lunch combo of a quesadilla & taco(both chicken) and my wife ordered chipotle shrimp. My meal was tasty… nothing to write home about. The shrimp dish my wife had was very flavorful… I think I enjoyed that more LOL Can’t say we’d make a special trip to visit here again and may try another location. Food was ok but service was horrible!

Pretty solid food. I had mix fajitas and they were very good. Came with all the sides and their Charo beans were fantastic. I also had the wave which is Margarita and sangria mix. It is really good not to sweet. They make there own tortillas in house on a press you can see next to the kitchen. They were so soft and fluffy and a little irregular shaped. I love them. I could eat a whole plate of them with a little jam. For being an interstate location which sometimes can mean lower standards this one is great.

Pappasitos. Why do you have to have the best chips and green salsa in the world… and why do you make me fat?! No in all seriousness, Pappasitos seriously has some amazing mexican food. I know most people in Houston are no strangers to the Pappa’s chain of restaurants, but really, they knock it out of the park. I usually try and support local smaller places, but I cant help it. They keep me coming back time after time. They really do have the best chips IMO. Thin, just salty enough, and fresh. That crunch… ok… I have to stop. Their green sauce is also out of this world– people tell me I have issues with it. I just might. You just cant go wrong with their fajitas. Beef, chicken, veggie, whatever floats your boat. If you can swing it, always add the shrimp brochette’s. Bacon wrapped shrimp with some cheese and a bit of jalepeno. You wont be disappointed. Use a little of the garlic butter on the meats or veggies, or everything. It really adds so much flavor, and I heard they removed the calories(ok, maybe not). The service here is always consistent and really good. They train their people very well and it shows. Sure it gets busy, but they do offer call ahead seating. I had the pleasure of going for brunch recently, and I will absolutely be back. 1.99 bloody mary’s and .99 mimosas… Yes, not kidding.

My husband grew up in Houston and hasn’t been back in forever. When he was a kid, this Pappasito’s was their go-to place after games and school events, somewhere they all loved to go. Since it held special meaning for him, we stopped here for a drink and a snack while in town visiting my family during the holidays. It is easy to see why this place is so successful. There were like eight hostesses, seating people, following up with those who had been waiting, and answering the phones. Every table and every seat in the bar was taken, at about 4P on a holiday Friday. A massive crew of waiters worked the tables and an array of bartenders, expo people, busboys and managers performed a ballet of sorts. I felt like Frogger trying to map a course to the Ladies room. We just had a couple of apps from the happy hour menu, as well as a margarita each. The margarita was fresh and not too sweet, and super cheap for a premium margarita since it was happy hour. The food was good. I was mostly into the chips and salsa but really all of it was good, and again, well-priced. The bartender who helped us did a great job managing a busy bar and making drinks for the restaurant. It was a spectacle to behold and I wish them continued success.
