Okay for those of you who have no idea what this place is, let me school you. It’s a grab n go Vietnamese banh mi shop. Not a restaurant. They serve all types of Vietnamese goods. Your typical Com Say Cha Bong(rice cakes), Goi Cuon(spring rolls), Ga Nuong Soy(bbq chicken and sticky rice) and much more. They’re bomb af with fresh banh mi. Personally I like this place, they fulfill most of my cravings for Vietnamese street food. You should check it out.

The fried egg banh mi add avocado is incredible! I have eaten banh mi sandwiches all over the city and this one is the BEST!

First time in this place. I went there reading other reviews about Banh Mi and I wasn’t disappointed. However, I have to agree with one other reviewer about their cream puff. It was strangely cold moist pastry on the outside and the cream filling was very artificial taste. I haven’t tried their macaroon but they looked good. I also ordered the Vietnamese milk tea and it was really good. I may come back here to get the Banh mi and milk tea but def not for their cream puff.

I come here every once in a while when I’m in the mood to get some snacks. I’ve tried their banh mi’s but I wasn’t too impressed with them. It’s ok, but not the best. Their café sua da is actually pretty good. I told the guy to not make it so dark… guess they already pre-make it so I just told him to add a little bit more milk. They have some good fat little eggrolls for 60 cents each. They have decent pandan waffles when they are fresh. I love this fried rice cake thing with shredded pork on top… might look a little weird… like«hairy» looking… but it’s sooo good! They have reasonably priced croissant selections… I wouldn’t say it’s as buttery and delicious as La Madeleine but it’s decent for the price. The place scares me a little b/c once I was encountered by a Vietnamese pan handler. So watch out for your surroundings!

This will forever be one of my favorite places to visit for a quick bite to eat, or for when I am in the mood for good café sua da. Their banh mi sammiches have never disappointed me because of the freshness of the bread! And their pâté chaud pastries are just awesome! You don’t come here to be swept off your feet with happy cheery customer service. You come here for the eats and freshly baked goods. It’s addicting, so be careful. I had to slow down because of how quickly one can gain weight just eating this good stuff!

This place has a nice, expansive interior styled like a French café. They sell sandwiches, pastries, baguettes, and lots of pre-packaged Vietnamese goodies that are also distributed to nearby stores like Alpha Bakery. And I’m pretty sure I’ve seen their baguettes in other sandwich shops(like Nguyen Ngo). The quality of the bread and prepackaged goods is great. Their sandwiches though… not so much. My banh mi thit nuong($ 3.50) came on their thick but super fluffy house-made baguette. It was toasted well, and the crust was thin and crispy yet soft enough to bite into without flaking. Definitely my favorite part of the sandwich, and I can see why other places source their bread from here. Their mayo is also really good — not as egg-y as I’d like but still very flavorful — and spread amply on the bread. Give me a warm toasted baguette with just their mayo on it, and I’d eat it! Seriously though, I think I’ll just have their bread+mayo, because that’s where the goodness ends. The grilled pork was borderline gross and wildly inconsistent. Some pieces were perfectly soft and juicy, some were stale or burnt, some were cut way too large. And there was so much fat, like ¼ of it maybe. The flavor was fine with a nice, subtle, sweetness, but man they need some better quality control on the pork. The vegetables suffered similar inconsistency issues. The carrots were cut terribly, way too large, and not very crunchy. It’s a shame because I actually liked the banh mi overall. I don’t think they’ll sell you a sandwich with only mayo on it though. But that’s fine, I can just continue to enjoy their goods from other shops in town. 3.5÷5

I’ve read some pretty bad reviews on Unilocal about Parisian Bakery & Café but I had a pleasant experience. I found it comical that there was a Parisian Bakery located in Chinatown but got a Groupon there so decided to give it a try. They are located right by the intersection of Bellaire and the Beltway. While I’m sure they’re a lot busier for breakfast and lunch, we went for dinner. We had a chargrilled beef bahn mi which was solid. Chargrilled beef on a fresh French baguette with all the usual fixings(cilantro, mayo, carrots, etc.). They also had beignets which was interesting and they were served hot. The most interesting part of the meal was trying pâté chaud which is a Vietnamese puff pastry filled with seasoned pork. Delicious and always interesting to see the French influence in Vietnamese cuisine given the two country’s histories. Washed it all down with a strawberry mango smoothie with rainbow jellies. They also have Vietnamese hushpuppies which I’ll have to try next time! The lady who was likely the owner was friendly. This is more of a grab-and-go type of place but they have several tables if you’d like to dine in.

I used to really enjoy coming here a few years ago but I feel that it has gone downhill super fast. The last few times I went they didn’t even bother turning on the lights in the main dining area. The last time I went I picked up some Vietnamese banh bo, which is usually very good. However, when I got home I saw mold on it. So that’s probably why they don’t turn the lights on. And yes, as mentioned in the other reviews the macarons are no longer fresh. Guessing they are a few days old. I’m done with this place.

Bleh — that’s what I have to say about my visit. Known for their macarons — and the macaron lovers that we are — we decided to trek into Chinatown to check them out. We came here midday and as we walked into the establishment there were no lights on whatsoever. You would think from standing outside the place was closed. Maybe they are trying to save on their electricity bill. There is nothing noteworthy to express about the décor nor what are in the display cases. When I walk into a bakery I look forward to seeing rows upon rows of desserts in the cases. You don’t get that here. I have to say that the price for a macaron here is cheap — $ 1.25 for one — but they are TINY! Each are probably the size of a half dollar coin. They also don’t have that crunch you get with other macarons. If there is anything worth trying here, come for their beignets. They are the size of your palm and come out nice and hot with plenty of powdered sugar covering the surface.

I wanted a quick fix…, but now wish I waited!!! Spoiled my diet for this… why! Macaroons were not fresh, hard and had a frozen taste. I didn’t expect Paris quality, but come on now. Some places should do samples before buying!!! Well I have learned and never again. Maybe I just came in on a slow day or something, but for now this is what I give them…

I came in for a quick snack with a business partner one Saturday afternoon. We ordered some banh mi, pâté chaud, doissant/cronut, and ice coffee. The thit nuong banh mi was flavorful I can’t remember if they put pâté or not but it was good regardless. The pâté chaud wasn’t as flaky or flavorful as Lee’s sandwich but I was hungry and it sufficed at the moment. The doissant was a bit on the dry side but perhaps they had been sitting out since the morning. I will definitely come back and try other items and update this review.

The eggrolls are cheap at 60 cents/piece. The service is horrible. I called a few days in advance to have a catering order placed and when I came to pick it up — nothing. They told me it would take 15 minutes. It took 40. No apologies. I guess they have to be this cheap since their customer service is horrible. This location does not give you the nuoc mam regardless of how many eggrolls you order.

Oh my god I am going to be so disowned by my immediate Unilocal peers seemingly they all have this place with 5 star but do you hear that scratching sound? It’s lil ol me rubbing against the grain, me so sollie. We came here after one of Lou C’s marvelous U Y E’(check this guy out, he really has his events put together well) which was a few doors down from a noodle oriented restaurant. It’s on a corner so you won’t have too much of hard time finding it but… We must have come in here right after a hurricane or a rush of customers. The tables seemed mostly dirtied, they were flimsy and didn’t seem to have much of an eye appeal choice as far as items when you walk in the door. Maybe I was walking in there with my eyes closed but us Asians get accused of that from the get go. I had part of what seemed like a waffle that was made earlier in the morning(It was about 2 p.m. at this visit) and did not find anything different than what seemed like one of those $ 1 waffle packs you can get at a Kroger. This place is definitely worth a second try so hopefully I can get a better perspective of things as my friends viewed. Sorry Lou C. let’s try this sometime again.

They have the best banh mi thit nuong with pâté and egg! The pork is marinated with good flavor. I love the finely chopped lemon grass to compliment the flavor. The pâté is moist and smooth as well as rich in flavor not dry like some places. they have soft fresh baked bread(I ask them to toast the bread a little bit longer I like the little crunch) there is fresh vegetables inside the banh mi. they have only a few other items but all of my favorites: egg rolls for $.50 each banh pâté chaud, bun bo que and bo kho(sometimes has too much fatty meat when you buy it to go) Pretty good café sua da. They have croissants, dossaints, macaroons, and gelato. (I am Vietnamese) I live in Katy and will drive there any day to get my banh mi fix! Oh yeah they are one of the few places that does buy 5 and get 1 free still. I hope you are driving to Parisian as you are reading this! Wish they stayed open until 8 pm like before. but they do still open at 8 am! Woot! Woot!

There’s some really delicious Vietnamese goodies to be found here. As for the banh mi, the combination with extra meat is the thing to get. It is $ 3.50, but it is loaded with layers of sliced cold cut meats. Also try their chargrilled chicken. Definitely get some of those $.50 eggrolls to go. They are great reheated in the toaster oven. Also not to be missed is the pâté chaud which is a savory pastry with a pork patty in the middle. As an alternative, the quay vat contains a savory ground chicken patty and is also delicious when taken home and reheated. The luxurious crisp buttery flakes of the pastry are simply the best! You can eat them there as well, but I like mine hot out of the oven. There’s a lot of prepacked prepared food here was well as smoothies and pastries. Unfortunately the service was just awful. The older man and lady helping me started fighting right in front of me while ringing me up. From what I can gather without knowing Vietnamese is that I hadn’t quite purchased enough to make the $ 10 credit card minimum. I ended up purchasing more and apologized for not seeing the sign, but I had asked the lady upon entering if there was a credit card minimum, and she didn’t say there was. Probably a language barrier thing. Still, it was super awkward. Bring cash if you only plan on getting a few things.

This is not a large bakery but I found out it supplies its rolls to a variety of restaurants and Banh Mi shops so I wanted to check it out for my personal use since I was in the area and love me some good rolls. Actually they have very good rolls but the pastries are very limited. See my pics. They have some prepared lunch meals ready for the lunch crowd. The gentleman behind the counter was nice. I just purchased an almond croissant and a few rolls. Don’t expect to find a lot of pastries here. I think it’s more designed for commercial accounts or for their rolls. BTW if you toast their rolls a bit they are very good for sammies.
