Called to set a appointment today. He was very short with me and talked in a flat voice. Not very friendly and new immediately this was not the guy for me. He said I called him during lunch. I guess that was enough to piss him off.

Arrived at the office 15mins before my appointment which it at 10am.
10.07 he opened the door and asked me to fill in new patient form. (No hand was shaking or introducing) By the time it was almost 10.15am.
Went inside his office. Not an organize office that a patient will feel great about it.
11am he told me my time was over. Of course you wasted my 15mins at the waiting area!
I wouldn’t go back, I have read a poor reviews about him on Google but thought I would give him a try. Disappointed.

Dr cousins had contacted me and apologized. I accepted it and would consider see him again.

Dr. Cousins has helped my fiancée and me learn to actively understand each other better, particularly when one or both of us are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or frustrated. For me myself, his frank, impartial observations have been most helpful, in part I think because his diagnostic approach involves such careful listening. He doesn’t spool out lectures or «tough love» or anything like that. He listens for divergences between your intentions and your actions, and starts work there.
I find him to be reserved and a perhaps bit dry, but also quietly affable, and unafraid to laugh. In his professional demeanor, he would seem to effectively separate any internal feelings from his outward response, which dissipates any fear of judgment. He remains present, attentive, and diligent, and without choosing sides or declaring right and wrong, he lets us know whether we’re acting according to our intentions, saying what we mean, and hearing what was said.
He seems skilled and knowledgeable in troubleshooting inter-​personal and clinical factors that contribute to fears and misconceptions. When we do hone in on specific «cognitive errors» and other non-​constructive patterns that emerge, he helps us find ways to adjust, to recalibrate our learned responses in better support of our goals.
But it comes down to what you want. He’s friendly and compassionate, and I can tell he’s seen a lot of people at their worst and at their best. He’s fairly unflappable. Perhaps because of that, he doesn’t dwell extensively on rehashing the past. You can spend the whole hour venting if you want, and sometimes that’s satisfying, but we seem to get the most out of it when we focus instead on putting one foot in front of the other and making progress. If that’s the kind of help you’re looking for, you may well find him to be highly effective.
