I can eat phở dien everyday if my wallet permitted. The both is phở’real — very flavorful, good color, not too salty, not too oily. Get the XL, its only 75 cents more than the large and its way bigger. You know that feeling when you eat a large bowl of phở and you get hungry an hour later? well that doesn’t happen after the XL bowl. The service is fast + the restaurant is clean. Gets pretty busy on the weeknds. I also like how its open until 9 pm on weekdays.

I must say phở has been sounding and tasting pretty darn good with this crazy Houston weather. So I’ve eaten at Phở Dien 1 and was impressed minus their lack of portion size. Decided to try out Phở Dien 2 today. Came in around 1:45pm for lunch and it was still crowded but still good amount of seating. Small bowl here is $ 6.75. Large bowl $ 7.75. I hate how prices keep increasing but nothing you can do about it. I got a small bowl of phở tai nam… round-eye and well done flank. This is really my first time eating well done flank… and well… I think I’m in love. The meats were all very tender and plenty of it for a small bowl. At first I thought I could have used a little more noodles but it actually came out to be a good size b/c I was full after eating all of that meat! I like that they take credit card! Not sure if there’s a minimum but my bill was $ 8.66 with a Coke… so yay for that! I can imagine it being busy on the weekends and parking can be a pain since I think there is only one way out.

This restaurant is always so phở’kn busy any day of the week. They only serve phở so it makes it phở’kn fast and easy. One of the better phở restaurants in town. How can you tell the phở’kn difference? In the phở’kn BROTH! Phở’kn EXTRAMSG! Just phở’kn kidding… I don’t know about the extra MSG but you can definitely can tell the phở’kn difference in the phở’kn broth. Proper phở’kn way to eat phở: Hoisin sauce, siracha, bean sprouts, basil, pickled onions, lime, and sate(only if you like it really extra spicy).

The best place for Ph in Houston!!! I prefer this place than the other one in Kim Son plaza because it’s much more bigger in space than the one in Kim Son. If you ever want to eat during the weekend around noon, I suggest you make a reservation first because it’s really crowd it around the weekend.

I didn’t even have a chance to eat here because they practically shoved us out the door and told us they were sold out. How do you have a restaurant and sell out of food on a Monday night?

Love the food, not the cutest but the prices are fantastic. I would give them five stars but they always seem to treat me weird because I’m black. I come back however because the phở is super delicious for the price and it’s close to home, plus all the other ones are closed in the day time.

Came to this place 3 times, 1 being about 2 years ago, 2nd time they were closed early because they ran out of food and 3rd time was today during lunch with my parents. They insisted on trying it since they heard from several people that it was good. Judging by the parking lot, it was gonna be crowded. Sure enough my parents and I walked in and saw that it was busy. Even saw some folks that we knew. We got seated right away though and the waiter brought us the menus. Not much to choose from since it is a phở place. We all settled for the chicken phở. I had small while the parents got large. Food came out relatively quick. We instantly prepared our soup with the right condiments. I took a sip and instantly knew that it was fresh and flavorful. Didn’t taste too fatty and oily. It was a good balance. The only thing was that they skimped out on the chicken meat. I could only count good 3 pieces… However, my mom who is hard to please actually liked it and said she would give 5 stars. My dad also enjoyed it, even though he would prefer the beef but due to diet he had to opt for the chicken. Pretty good place for phở that would taste close to home. Service was mediocre. I might be back!

Number 1 phở in town. The reason I take off 1 star is because of the limited parking, and it takes a long time for you to get a table during weekend.

Their Phở is more amazing compared to other places in the city, but not like«out of this world» like most people told me. To be honest, the broth has nothing special in it, what makes their PHO have more quality then the others is the meat. They have good kind of meat and put a lot of them in the bowl for you to munch on. I especially like their Tai — steak, it’s not chewy like most of places do, the way they prepare the Tai is kind of special to. Instead of simply cut them into thin slices, I guess they chop it off and grind half-way(so the meat not completely fallen apart like ground-beef). That’s what I guess, maybe I’m wrong, but who care, right? As long as their Tai is exceptional and delicious, nom nom. I’m not a big fan of their combo Phở, but i would like to order a bowl of Phở contains of Tai, meat ball and tendon, oh my god, yummy goodness. Besides the broth, the smell in the store is another thing that I am not fond of. Be ware, and make sure you will not wear your favorite sweater or shirt if you decide to eat here because you will smell like a bowl of hot Phở the moment you walk out of there, believe me. I would love it if they install more vent to eliminate the odor. Last but not least, if you come on weekend, you are better not in your super hungry mode because there is always a long wait on Sat and Sun!

I’ve never been a PHO nazi before and didn’t really believe it when my hubs said this place has the best phở, but I stand corrected. The tai(rare beef) is nicely tenderized. Their sate is homemade and more chili rather than straight oil. The broth is high quality and flavorful. The only thing that sucks is that they don’t serve anything else… no appetizers… no rice places.nothing. This is the second location and the first one is better, but sometimes you just don’t want to wait over 30 minutes for a bowl of phở…

My boyfriend was craving for some phở and we went to Bellaire in hopes that Phở Dien was open, but they closed and after checking our other choices we decided to go to this location. PHODACBIET They don’t give as much meat as the other location and the meat isn’t as fresh. The broth is alright, but nothing special. In all honesty, I wouldn’t come back for phở here. probably only drop by if all the other places were closed like today. I’ll make sure to time my arrival to bellaire better in order to get some phở at the good places.

Things at phở Dinh did not go well right from the start. The TLDR of my review is: Food good Service TERRIBAD Right when we walked in they(a girl) asked us if we knew what we wanted yet. Which I’ll admit, if you know you know and things get moving much quicker. However, we wanted to look at the menu anyway. I’ve never been here before so maybe they have specials that I don’t know of. And I’m glad(or so I was at the time) because they did have a special and I wanted to try it out! Phở tai uop! Meat that comes on the side in a special sauce for dipping! Ok. So now we just have to order! So we waited. And waited. And waited… We watched as other people came in, got sat, taken their order, and brought out their food before we ordered. The guy bringing the food(from the back) noticed us and then asked if we had ordered. We said no. So an older lady came out. Different from the first. With a pissed off face. Took our order. I ordered the special in a small. My father ordered dac biet in a large. Food came out fast but… Where was my tai uop? This is just phở tai! I looked up at my dad. Dad looked at me. We then in turned looked at the original girl for help. She decided that I probably need a fork so that’s what I’m asking for. I was like. Nope! I wanted what I ordered! She went and asked he lady who took our order if I had ordered the special. That pissed off looking lady straight up said ‘no.‘ SMDH So I was like wth! But as most know… Asian places are not known for service. Which is pretty sad. So my dad and I were ok whatever. Just eat what we have. Now let’s move to that actual phở. It tasted fine. Pretty good. But my small was literally 3 spoons of phở. I was so surprised on my fourth scoop to find 0 phở noodles. I don’t put big scoops either! So the small is… Baby small. FYI to those who come here.(I had to go back and edit this when I got to the car and tell y’all that it was so freaking little that I’m still hungry. And I’m a small woman!) And here’s the kicker to this bad service. I’m literally sitting at the table writing this entire review waiting for my water to be refilled. Phở Dien. Never. Again.

We live close to Katy but willing to drive here to have their phở. In my opinion, they have the best restaurant phở in Chinatown. The parking is almost always hard to find but still worth going here for. The other location close to Kim Son is much smaller and definitely hard to get a table at peak times.

My parents love this place because of their quality broth(which they believe makes or breaks a phở) and their tender meat. We generally get a to-go order afterwards as well, and this being my first time at Phở Dien, I found that their service was very fast(wait time wasn’t bad – 10 min) and that the food inside the to-go box is so neatly packed. The tenderloin or ribeye or whatever good meat they use is also wrapped up and separate from the flank.

Here is another restaurant I’d never heard of until someone told me it was good. I’m so glad I agreed to come and try it. They believe it’s better than Phở Binh is currently, and I just might have to agree with them. Their broth is just really tasty and addicting. I ordered a large rare beef and brisket phở and when it came to the table it was loaded full with noodles and beef, much more than I’ve received at any other phở shop on Houston. Not sure if it was a fluke or not, but I didn’t question it. I finished every last bit of it. Service was average and I was hoping for a refill, but that didn’t happen.

Ever since Phở Dien opened this is my one stop hands down favorite place! Very consistent and I always order phở gau bo vien with nuoc beo on the side! Fast friendly service and if you order to go a lot like I do they are the best at it. Every order gets there own package of condiments and veggies! the place is also clean!

This place is always packed and I shouldnt have to tell you why. It’s delicious and everytime we come to Houston we stop here as a must. Today my fiancé got their Super Sized bowl. Yummy chili oil that is spicy so add little by little. Broth amazing. Plenty of noodles and meat. The meat is tender juicy and flavorful. Must must must try here if you havent

Came here 30 min before closing with my bestfriend, ordered the #1 and it was large and xlarge bowls only which i tortured myself for eating so much. Thai tea was really sweet and iced lemon flower tea was really good and refreshing.

We recommended to try this place. Wasn’t too pleased. When the bowl came out the broth wasn’t even piping hot, maybe a little over room temp. Not much meat in the bowl. I would say, their broth didn’t look too appetizing. I usually judge broth by how clear the broth is. The broth was murky and dark. I wouldn’t come back.

Holy hell. Phở places on Bellaire, you better watch out. You are now competing with Phở Dien 2 for the title of my absolutely favorite phở place. My folks are in town for the weekend and trying to feed my traditional Korean parents non-Korean food is a bit tasking — especially my extremely particular mother. As usual, Phở Dien was sold out by 7:30PM so I defaulted to the next best thing I could find on Unilocal,Phở Dien 2. Just 10 minutes away from Phở Dien, we arrived at our destination and my apprehension was growing. You have no idea how intimidating my mother can be when it comes to critiquing food. My dad ordered the phở dac biet and I ordered the phở tien. My mother decided to take the«I’m sampling your food but I’m really going to eat half of it» role. The phở came out at lightning speed and the broth was piping hot. Oh goodness, that broth was delicious. It tasted so clean and my mom was really enjoying my dad’s bowl of phở. I really liked how they brought out both boiled and raw beansprouts. The beef was so tender and it went so well with the broth. I got a small bowl so it was the perfect amount for me. My dad(and my mother who was constantly stealing his food) easily finished the extra large bowl because it was so tasty. Phở Dien 2 may not have tai be(phở lovers should know exactly where to go to get tai be) on their menu but holy hell their broth really does something to the phở loving soul. Apparently my folks are going to go to Phở Dien 2 tomorrow while I’m at work so my mom can have her own bowl. Now THAT says something.
