OMG! the worst experience I have ever had! My family moved half way around the country and we were looking for a moving company to get our belongings out to our new home. They had the best value but with all the issues we have had with them it was not worth it!!! first we couldn’t get our pod picked up when we needed it to be I had to beg them to get it delivered when it was, which was 11 day after we arrived to our new place. and once they finally did deliver it the guy couldn’t even knock or anything to let us know he was here. we had a place set up and ready for him to drop off the pod but instead he just leaves it the the most inconvenient place he could making our job of unloading even that much more difficult. I will not be using their services again when we move from out temporary location into our new house.

This review is long overdue but now I have some REAL experience with PODS. We have had nothing but excellent service from them. From our initial calll, to the delivery of the POD to the delivery at the final destination, their final pick up and the billing. YUP the entire cycle went smoothly. I first used them in 2011(told you I was overdue) moving from Groton, CT to Maitland FL. Then 4 years later we used them to move this pass month from FL to La Porte Texas. This move went smoother even though our apartment was so new it couldn’t be found online! Our delivery and pickup was done 1st thing in the morning. That would be 4 different drivers in 3 different States and everyone was friendly and professional. Each time we used a 16′ POD and each time we wished they would have been larger but on he bright side it forced us to be serious purgers and look to starting a new chapter in our new place.

The worst customer service! After two hours on the phone with less than helpful people, I finally agree to the price and delivery dates. The manager I am talking to transfers me and when I get the next rep they increase the price by nearly a thousand dollars and add two weeks to the nearest delivery date! go with pack rat or better yet, ABF u-pack who still remembers the importance of human decency!

Used PODS to move from Conroe, TX to Moorpark, CA. We had no problems, whatsoever. They arrived when they said they would. Delivered when they said they would, and picked up POD when they said they would. Very happy with their service.

After speaking with PODS several times and being assured I could move my pickup date easily at no fee, I opted to have the pickup scheduled one day after the delivery. This was an attempt to receive my things in the new city as quickly as possible because they take about 5 days to make the 3 hour trip. Well when the pickup day came the next day, I was not adequately packed, so I called to move my pickup date back. Well ‘lo and behold, now I have to pay a fee to move my pickup date. Further, after they spoke with the local PODS location in Houston(which I was not allowed to talk to directly, despite requesting to), I was informed that because my unit was in the street, it would likely be towed if left in place longer. I found this to be ridiculous as I had watched a POD sit in the street in front of a house 1 block down from me for about 2 weeks and mine had been present two days in the same neighborhood with the same rules for PODS. They said I could move the pickup date, but only if I agreed to cover any and all expenses related to the potential towing of my unit. They would not give me a price for this potential cost. The most I could get the woman to say was it could cost me over a $ 1000 if towed. This, to me, felt as though I was being threatened with PODS calling the city to get my unit towed and then charging me for it. In the end, I gave in to having my unit picked up a mere few hours(I had been on the phone over an hour at this point) from the present, and I rushed to pack as much as I could in the POD. Due to this rush, many of my items were damaged during transit(chipped wood furniture mostly). Also, I simply did not have time to pack many things I would have in the POD. The only positive in my experience was the pickup guy came and saw me still loading up items in the street. He asked me how much longer I needed, and after I stated 30 minutes, he took his lunch and returned later. I am still very upset by my experience with PODS and their customer service. I should have just used U-Hual.
