This place has some good customer service!!! My friend and I stopped in to pick up a few items and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of respect and appreciation that I received from every employee … parking lot attendant all the way to the manager was exceptional and I will be returning. … Good Job Pyburns, u should teach the Pyburns on Fondren how to act because they were very rude and I won’t ever go back… will drive out of my way to get to your location

So I have my new favorite grocery store in Houston! The best thing to get here is meat and vegetables(Really living up to your name, Pyburn’s). There’s always great weekly deals going on(Although I wish they would upload their weekly ads online!). The stuff that’s cheap is offset by other things being more pricey(Dairy and pre-packaged bacon is kind of pricey here). They also have the ‘grand opening’ feel to it still, a month and a half out. The first time I came, the cashiers at the front greeted me(and it didn’t sound super forced!) and the second time I came, one of the guys by the front walked me to my car and helped me get my groceries in the car. There’s a nice little BBQ/meat diner area to the left of the entrance which has great deals too(4 smoked drumsticks for $ 1.99? Yes please).

This new grocery exceeded my expectations. I mean honestly, who said eating healthy is costly? Pyburns have the best prices in town for fresh produce compares to any of their competitors. I drove by this store approximately three times, on three separate occasions before I decided to stop. The parking lot was clean and the staff was friendly. I try to eat healthy when I can, and entering this store makes me want to eat whatever is being prepared for that day. Boudin is prepared here daily, even though I’m not a fan of boudin. Pyburns have the best prices in produce, but be prepared on ridiculous prices on other items in the store. Cheap bacon is over $ 4 here, I go to krogers to get nitrate free bacon for $ 3. If you plan on purchasing all of the items on your shopping list, caution you will pay 1.5 times more than other stores except for produce.

Of course I’m going to give this place 5 stars. I used to visit the location over on Almeda, close to Pearland. I’m happy that this one is closer to town. This is not your high end Whole Food type of places. It’s more of a meat market/grocery store. It’s located on Scott St. near 610. I admit it’s not in a great neighborhood; but it’s great for the neighborhood. The meats are fresh, which is expected at any Pyburns. But I couldn’t help but notice how fresh and inexpensive the fruits and vegetables were. I think putting more fruits and vegetables in the store was a great idea. It gives more healthy options unlike other stores in the neighborhood. Customer services was great. I was greeted when walking in and exiting. If you’re ever in the area, check them out. And yes they do have the best boudin in town.
