Alright for a quick stay. I stayed here for a night on my way to Costa Rica, mostly because it’s close to the airport. The area itself is not great and doesn’t have much around it. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone staying in Houston for more than a night or two. The amenities are updated and staff was nice. Overall the hotel was clean. I would stay here again if I needed to quickly get to the airport the following morning.

I was here because of a business trip with training a month ago, and I was here for 2 weeks. I think the rooms are perfectly fine and everything. free dinner is offered Monday-Wednesday I believe, nothing special but a meal none the less. breakfast is decent only had it a couple times because they start breakfast kind of late. not much offered as far as cable channels is concerned. WiFi works great which was good. It was very clean and nice bed and room in all. I had to call for them to bring more toilet paper to me once because they never restocked it, which is very odd in a hotel. I was frustrated by the deserted area the hotel was in, kind of off the beaten path by a highway in a not very great part of town it turns out. I also was not happy that there is only 1 bus shuttle to the airport on the hour, never any shuttle on the half hour. So I had to leave 2 hours early every morning which was very inconvenient. Several times the AIRPORT shuttle was dropping off people far off at other hotels which were not even affiliated with Marriott, I asked if they would just take us to the airport as they should. I waited 1 day 45 minutes to be picked up at IAH, I was furious after that. So because of the confusion and as other reviewers have also mentioned the bus issues, I agree, I was moved to a closer Marriott and liked it much better than this place. Its not near anything and yet they say they will take you within a 5 mile radius its still a sketchy area and I would just avoid it if I came back to Houston.

I got relocated from NJ and was put in this hotel to start my 1 month stay. The rooms are nice and clean, The staff was great and helpful in every way. The hallway of the east entrance had a bad smell and on that same entrance it was a hang out for people, drinking beer, smoking, and listening to music, it looked more like an apartment complex then hotel. After discussing the location of where I was staying with my coworkers they told me to get out of there because apparently the area where the hotel is located is a bad one.

This is the worst hotel experience I have had in a long time. My grandmother died last night and we are exhausted. Instead of switching us to a room in their empty hotel with 2 beds, they refused and said«we get what we get»…leaving us with 1 bed. Refused offers of shuttle, help with restaurants, etc. Do not ever stay here!!!

United failed so hard at airplane-ing that I *got* to spend the night in Houston! After a very long day of traveling I was less than pleased to not sleep in my own bed and expecting the worst from a hotel voucher. This place is very very clean, the beds are super comfortable, the front desk staff(Martin) is extremely helpful. He made sure we had a taxi for our super early flight since the shuttle wouldn’t be running at that time. He also let us know that the sister hotel next door was serving food and beer in their café, which is exactly what you need after a crummy day like we’d had! Next time I’d stay their by choice! The room had a desk, a couch(pretty sure it pulled out) a fridge and dish washer with plates/cups/cutlery etc. It all seemed very new was very clean and well taken care of, the hotel also had a pool, fire pit and I think I saw a volleyball court too.

Been here for three weeks, having recently moved back to the U.S. from overseas. Everything was fine until two groups moved in(for work I guess), and we discovered that there was an outdoor patio right outside our ground floor window. After several complaints about late night(past midnight) noise, we were offered extra«reward» points to compensate for the lack of sleep. The rooms are just«okay»; don’t for a moment think that this is a higher end hotel. The desk staff are all awesome, the cleaning crew also — just be sure you don’t get a room whose windows face the courtyard… unless you don’t mind parties until after 1:00 am keeping your family awake.

After a nightmare of a situation at SFO that caused me to be «involuntarily excluded» from my flight to Austin(more on that at a later date), the whole rigmarole of changing flights led me to the 4th largest city in the country(for reasons I’ll never quite understand) for an overnight layover at this here Residence Inn. My head literally hit the pillow for about 2 hours after arriving at the hotel in the wee morning hours, with 1 hour and 45 of those minutes spent wide awake, worrying that I’d sleep too late and miss my flight at 7:00am. Upon arrival, I was bleary-eyed and extremely cranky, yet the lovely gentleman at the front was as sweet as a peach cobbler smothered in Splenda. He was super accommodating, hooked me up with a tooth brush, and just about walked me to my room and made sure I was A-OK. I’ve never stayed in a Residence Inn before, and I had no idea how homey they were! It’s more of a studio apartment than a hotel, actually. With a full sink, full sized fridge and a friggin’ dishwasher in my room, I could have thrown up my feet and stayed awhile if I didn’t have somewhere to be the very next day. This is in stark contrast to my idea of staying here before actually stepping foot on the property, as I was sure I’d be in a bullet hole ridden walls and bed bugs galore. They have a shuttle that scoots you right to the airport on the hour, every hour, starting at 5:00am, so if you need an emergency place to stay, there are way worse options out there.
