Terrible lunch of tasteless grilled veggies on a roll. Had to ask the waitress for salt and sugar. Good service, bad food.

Good stop during a layover. Service was friendly and prompt. I knew I was in Texas because I got mama’D through my visit. It was nice. Beer selection is good some staples and a couple of local ones.

I saw a lot of negative reviews here — have to say that my experience was very different(and good). The restaurant offers small wine list but with generous pours(6 oz or 9 oz) and reasonable selection. Had a glass of Benziger Merlot which was very good. Had Wedge salad as an appetizer, one of my favorite salads when eating in a restaurant — it was very tasty and generous, with just right amount of a good tasting dressing. Fish and chips as a main dish was very well cooked and very tasty. Service was very friendly, attentive and prompt — no issues whatsoever. Recommended.

The staff is trying, all of 1 waiter for the entire restaurant, but this was an enormous waste of money. Save your money, buy the United Airlines snack box, you’ll enjoy it more. The chicken piccata ahem, «chicken piccata» tasted like a small, dry chunk of microwaved chicken breast topped with a hint of lemon juice. Never in my life have I longed for some msg, this chicken needed life support. The burger tasted strangely like a cheap hotdog, I don’t know how that happens. I have a suspicion that the chef is a college kid with a microwave. Someone please get me some airplane food.

This restaurant was honestly not that bad, for airport food. We were exhausted from traveling all day and dealing with cancelled flights and standby, so we just needed a place in the Houston airport to sit down and have a drink. We rolled our suitcases into Rocket & Rye and plopped down at a table, and we were immediately brought two glasses of ice water and two place settings, which was a great sign for service. In fact, throughout the meal the service was pretty darn attentive. We only had to flag down our waitress once or twice, and it was a busy night. We started with the drinks: my boyfriend ordered the Stella Artois($ 9.50) and I ordered the mojito(also $ 9.50). His was a better deal, his beer was huge, while my mojito was small and not very strong. My boyfriend commented that it tasted like Sprite. I drank it anyway. Then we ordered the Mezze Plate, off the appetizer menu. For $ 8.00, you get about 8 little pita triangles, a small cup of olives, a small cup of tzatziki sauce, a small cup of hummus, and a few sticks of carrots and celery. Not a lot of food, but the pita was warm and salty, and when you spread the hummus on the pita and sprinkled the olives on top it was actually a very yummy appetizer. Next we decided to split the Crispy Fish Sandwich. For $ 11.50, you get a pretty basic crispy fish filet on a hamburger bun with a large pile of fries. Not a bad deal, really. The sandwich was nothing to write home about, but it was warm and salty and the fries were greasy and warm and salty, and we ate them up. So, overall, a three-star, A-OK experience. If we’re ever stuck in the Houston airport again(God forbid) we might visit again.

Thanks for yelling us and kicked us out just now. We saw the sign«seat by yourself», when we did that, the waiter said they didn’t have seats and YELLINGUSVERYLOUD. Then we just left.

Drinks are decent but the fish and chips and fish sandwich although not advertised as such are cat fish and taste fishy. SURPRISE! Yuck.

A perfectly acceptable spot to rest and have a beer during a layover. The service was prompt and friendly. I didn’t eat, but the menu looked decent, if airport-typical pricey. I ordered a short blue moon for $ 6.5(not bad) and enjoyed the company of some colorful fellow travelers. I think you might want to try the whiskey selection. I was shot down on my first two beer requests because while they are on the menu, they didn’t have them available. If I ever find myself in that terminal again, I would return.

First of all, I waited 10 minutes to be greeted for breakfast to take my drink order at 8am. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette and somehow there was no ham inside… Immediately following my breakfast showing up I asked politely for cutlery and was given a plastic fork and knife. The waitress said«I’m sorry, we accidentally keep throwing out all of out proper serving utensils in the garbage, I hope this is ok!» I’m not impressed.

Great place to hang out and get good food when waiting for your flight. Good serve. Good food. Cold beer. What’s not to like.

Perfectly mediocre from all respects. Both the service and the food were fine, but nothing special. It fits the bill when you’re hungry and stuck in the(world’s worst) airport. I had the TBLT sandwich. It tasted fresh and was flavorful. The fries it came with were good and crisp. I didn’t get he pickle that was advertised in the menu. My server was fine. She brought my food and consistently refilled my drink. She wasn’t overly friendly but wasn’t rude. The big problem here is clean up. Several tables were covered with glasses and used plates and were never bussed. Some stayed that way the full time I was there. Bottom line, you’ll live, but I recommend walking to the next place.

The salmon chopped salad($ 12) with tomato, onions, cukes, and feta was fresh and tasty. The Texas chili($ 4.5) was gooey and tasted somewhat artificial. The servers didn’t show enough hustle for an airport restaurant. They were slow to take orders and bring checks.

Waited 45 mins for drinks and appetizer. Had to reorder my beer 3 times because they kept running out of it. Our server Cynthia was nasty. Overheard her say«where is the app for my table, I’m trying to get them out of my f*cking section». Once we heard that, we just got up and left. Cynthia should be fired…

Skunky dirty tap beer, cold fries and a pathetic turkey BLT. Just enough time for a quick lunch before next flight and I ended up with this.

Decent food. Nothing special here as far as the food goes. I got the Atlantic salmon with roasted potatoes and vegetables and it was okay. Lacked flavor but it was moist so I guess that’s not all bad.

Turkey BLT was pretty subpar… I would have been better off buying a pre-made sandwich at Starbucks. It would have been the first time Starbucks would have been a better value.

We ate here in the airport on the way back to Newark. Food was okay. I really liked the quesadillas we got as an appetizer and would have rather had more of those instead of my turkey sandwich I got for lunch. The brisket seemed a little thin and dry but the french fries were really good.

Do not eat here if you have a plan to catch. The waiting is ridiculous, I have watched three people leave in fifteen minutes. The servers need training. They forgot to give most of us silverware, which means they could care less about their job. If you cannot notice that your customer does not have utensils when you deliver the food, please go work somewhere answering phones. And the hostess looked like she slept in her car. The man next to us(that I went and got silverware for) even joked about it. I do not like giving low stars for restaurants, but I do think someone in charge should step up and make a change. We are in an airport, fast and efficient should be the motto.

For an airport, this isn’t half bad(and we’re picky). My fiancé and I both got the brisket plate. It’s flavorful, and the portions are decent size. The service is also fast and friendly. If you’re in terminal C, this isn’t the worst spot to grab a bite at.
