It’s my second time at this chain, but first time at this location. It was clean looking and bright, not a ton of seating, but the place is on the med/small size. I love the concept! A salad bar, without the nasty. It’s not self serve so that keeps their costs down I’m sure. You basically choose your greens type, then your order moves down the row, while you choose all types of toppings. At the end, you have the options of adding soup on the side and a bread product(crutons or other bread) and a drink selection. All in all, it’s rather on the expensive side for a salad, but the food is well sized and worth it due to the toppings. This can be a pretty healthy option if you go easy on the high calorie toppings… one calorie trap Is all the dressing… I just choose the balsamic vinegar no oil, and I’m good to go and have saved myself about 200 to 300 calories! Good luck and good eating!

I was never a fan of Salad & never thought I would like it so much that i go back to this place so often. The salad you get here is very fresh and delicious. There’s usually long line between 11:30 — 1pm on weekends. Avoid these timings if you want a quick service.

I love this place! First of any, super fresh. Any greenery lover has to know just that. Consistent delicious awesomely great salads!!! Tried the salmon today and it was simply«just scrumptious«. Lol Need I say more? A couple more perks: I love the relaxed dim feel to the place as well and the lemonades are the best I’ve tried thus far(; Enjoy

I swear this place is a hidden gem that needs to be found by everyone. ASAP. For $ 8 you are given a bowl double the size of your head to fill up with your choice of whatever veggies you can think of. Because if you can think of it, they probably have it in their salad bar. You also get your choice of dressing(chipotle ranch is amazing) and a breadstick with your salad. For an extra few bucks you can make your salad fancier by adding artichokes, avocado, or a protein. They have chicken, salmon, tofu, among other options. It’s not self-serve, but the workers making the salads are very friendly and are generous with the portions they give. The line is super long sometimes but it goes fast. If only they had this in New York:)

I’ve never been so excited about salad in my whole life!!! As a vegan most people assume that all I eat is salad, and it annoys me because salad is the last thing I want to eat at most restaurants because a «salad» ends up being just lettuce and tomatoes and mostly non vegan dressings to choose from. That’s not a meal. But the salad you get at Salata is going to be bright, fresh, delicious and FILLING! Like a real meal should be! It’s set up like a lot of build-your-own places(ex. Chipotle) You pick a bowl size and go down the line as an employee builds your salad. The staff at this location are very friendly and were happy to tell me about Salata as I told them this was my first visit. I will definitely be going back! I hope to see this chain grow so I can find them in more locations across the country in my travels.

OK, the truth… I stopped in this place to use the toilet on a recent road trip from Florida back out west. I didn’t eat anything but to be totally honest EVERYTHING looked delicious!!! I wish there were some locations out west or are there??? Can’t wait to have 1 of their outrageous salads!

Raspberry tea is my favorite. Just the right amount of sweetness and it goes well with my salad with pesto chicken($ 3 extra). The«regular» size salad is very filling as a complete meal. Watching my weight, I usually skip the bread though it looks good! I recommend the romaine only lettuce choice. Has always been fresh. Music is super interesting here. Heard reggae, flamenco and pop!

This place is just ok. The lady’s who work the salad bar are very nice and the service is pretty quick. The place is very clean and not crowded at all at dinner time. The falafel is dry and bland. I don’t recommend. The salmon is my favorite but I’ve also had most of the chickens and they are all good. The servings are huge! The small salad would probably be filling enough. considering the generous portions for all the toppings. I always get the large though, as I don’t want to take the risk of being hungry still and the cost is only $ 1 more. Overall, this is a good healthy spot when you don’t have dinner plans.

I went to the location on Westheimer East of the Beltway for over a year a couple of times a week whether that be picking up an oder through the drive thru or going inside to ear with Coworkers. This new location is beyond subpar. The parking lot is a mess. The line is unbelievable. There are not enough attendees working behind the counter to get the line moving. It was just ridiculous… i would rather drive 20 minutes to the westheimer location than deal with that again. Aside from that the food was really good so of you don’t mind small parking lots and lines that take way too long than enjoy.

Having used the Salata on Westheimer west of the Beltway for a year or so, following an office move I have to say this place is a complete disappointment. Firstly no drive up window. Usually this isn’t an issue but the parking lot here absolutely sucks. No parking whatsoever and people randomly parked all over the drive lanes. I had to drive down the street and park in the verge. When I went in I was confronted by the line. I have already pre paid mine so is there a sign to show you where to go for pick up orders(considering there’s no window)? Nope. I get to the top of the line and say I have already prepaid my salad. The woman behind the counter had the attention span of an amoeba and couldn’t remember(or bother to listen to) my name. Lastly, the piece de resistance, the same woman that served me didn’t bother putting a napkin and a fork in the bag so when I got back to the office I couldn’t eat my lunch… Just absolutely useless service. As I mentioned I used the Westheimer location almost every day for the last year. I’m never wasting my time again by going to this one again though.

I can’t believe how good this place is. Fresh salad and all you could want on it. Ladies are mostly nice, I have been a few times and I think it depends on how busy they are. Only complaint is you have to pay quite a bit extra just for chicken and avocado. I’m not a vegetarian so I add my protein.

I am a person who does not eat salad, but I start to fall in love with salad after I tried Salata. This place is amazing. I really like the way that they serve the food. I get to choose what to put into my salad and their dressing is so good! Asian BBQ chicken is a great meat selection. People are very nice. It usually gets crowded during lunch time on weekdays. Try to go like 11am. The line is much shorter.

Great place for salad an soup lovers! Their pricey but you do get the bang for your buck and its fresh and hardy. Their are so many choices and options to choose from. Never the same salad twice. I got a salad, cup of soup and slice of multigrain wheat bread and a Pierrer water for $ 14.50. I decided to go with the tomato basil soup. Ill be damned it tastes just like la Madeline’s soup. Trust me when I say that because I’ve tried tomato basil soup from everywhere and everyone including can versions and NO one has come close until now!

Spinach leaves were fresh. I liked the amount of toppings that were available to choose from. You are able to sample before you choose to put it in your salad bowl. Pesto chicken was tasty. Staff is polite. Restaurant appears clean, but there were a few annoying nats that I could have done without. Overall, my experience was a good one.

Everyone knows that I am an avid lover of meats, fats, and starches, but when all of it starts catching up to me(generally in the booty region), I come to Salata. Salata by itself is very tasty, however, I’ve come up with a few tricks to take it into overdrive. I like to do sort of a Southwestern Asian salad by combining the ginger lime dressing and chipotle ranch, field greens and romaine lettuce, tomatoes, black beans, corn, and cilantro. If I’m ballin, then sometimes I’ll add avocado. Mixing the dressings is key, and I think coming with a game plan for your mix of ingredients is also a good idea… And you will definitely have time to think about your selection in line during the lunch hour. Salata in the Energy Corridor just about guarantees a long line through the door if you don’t get there before 11am. My second trick has to do with the tomato soup. I always ask for a scoop of shredded parmesan inside and then order the chipotle bread. Thus, I rip the chipotle bread into croûton sized pieces and let them sit and soak in the soup. It’s AMAZING. The parmesan melts into the soup and the bread acts like a flavor sponge. This Salata, in particular, isn’t as generous on the portions as other ones I’ve been to. Don’t be afraid to ask them not to skimp on the greens and the dressing. Trust me, you’ll want to ask for it in the line instead of waiting til after you’ve paid. The lunch rush ain’t nothin to mess with. Review of my Salata secrets: 1. Get there before 11am to avoid the line 2. Don’t be afraid to mix your dressings and your greens(Lime ginger + Chipotle ranch = Southwest Asian Dressing) 3. Think of good flavor combos instead of just piling on the ingredients. 4. Kick the tomato soup up a notch by adding parmesan and«chipotle bread croutons» 5. Don’t be afraid to ask for more greens, dressings, or toppings. The other Salatas generally give more than this location. If you use those tips, you’re guaranteed to become a raging Salata addict like me.

3 stars with flaws. I have a love /semi-hate relationship with Salata. I describe this place to friends as «think Subway but for salads.» With that said, it’s a cool addition to the concept and I can put together a meeeaaaan salad combination! *pats self on the back* Good variety of options from lettuce, fruits, nuts, dressings to the optional meat selections. If the lettuce comes out a bag, I don’t see the big deal. I’m sure they go through a ton of it with lines out the door constantly at lunch time. Which brings me to my first minor gripe. This place is super small and that hungry lunch crowd«ain’t no joke.» 2nd gripe and this one isn’t so minor. Are the salad preparers’ paychecks based on the amount of each item they give you? Good Gawd, I always have to ask for a bit more of certain things because they literally put a teaspoon amount of each item you request. I’ve said extra olives and I still get a mini handful of about 5. Just an observation: am I the only person that noticed they only have one race of people working here? *weird* You can sample the dressings but I’m in love with the balsamic vinaigrette! It’s a def winner. Overall, they are bit pricey but clearly I go a lot and hey, like I said… I can make a meaaaaan salad!
