Hey Unilocal! It’s the Seven Crown Food Store, not«Food Stroe». Fix the spelling. This store is a very weird place. It is convenient for me, because I can walk there from my home, but that’s about the only good thing about the place. There’s a small and very shady car dealership/chop shop across the street(not Tommy Vaughn Ford). The people who work there use the parking lot of Seven Crown as if it were their own… trash can. In the evening, there’s usually a group of guys hanging out near the front door of the store drinking beer. They throw their empty cans and bottle caps all over the ground. Nice bunch of guys. Totally not creepy when they stare at my wife and me while we walk into the store. Not creepy at all. And this happens right in front of the store’s staff, but they do nothing to stop it. Seriously, these guys treat the parking lot of Seven Crown like it’s a bar. And there’s usually at least one guy just sitting in a parked car in the parking lot for some reason. They also have these video poker machines in the store, and there are signs saying that people don’t get any money or merchandise for playing it, but when I go in there in the morning, there’s always a small crowd of people playing those video poker machines. Like, habitually… like old women in Vegas. And I don’t think they’d be doing this if there was no chance of winning anything. Definitely something fishy going on there. The store is weirdly stocked, some shelves are bare and dusty. They have fountain drinks, but the soda fountain doesn’t look too great. The coolers keep drinks at a good temperature, but they were selling cans of Coke with Santa on them in like, May or June. And they don’t really offer anything in the way of juice. No Pom, no Naked juice. Very good selection of Fanta and other sodas in cans, and some in glass bottles from Mexico. The price of drinks varies depending on who is working, seriously. Don’t even bother going here to buy beer or wine. The wine selection is poor and overpriced. The beer selection isn’t much better, and they have no cider. The Kroger 2 blocks away is the best place in the area for beer, wine, and cider. They also use black plastic bags, like adult video stores. Kinda weird. And if you ask for a bag, they just throw one down on the counter. I don’t know what the hours are. They’re always open very early, but they also close very early. Even on the weekends. Like, the only convenience store in the area that doesn’t stay open until they have to quit selling beer at 12am or 1am on Saturday nights. But it is a convenience store, and as such, a good place to get your fix when you need a soda, kit kat, bag of doritos, and a can of bean dip all at the same time. The credit card minimum is $ 3, so that’s a little inconvenient.
