Best Indian Food Restaurant in Houston! There is a reason why this place has such high reviews! Food is fantastic! Ordered the Sizzling Lamb and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Highly recommend this restaurant.

New favorite place for Indian cravings! The service here is grade A++ very attentive as everyone has stated in previous reviews. Did I say the staff was GREAT!!! Chicken Masala is on point! Everything I ate was supurb! Cleanliness is a A++ from food prep to the restrooms! I am impressed as a patron! My new spot for weekday work lunch! If you are by the West Oaks area and looking to satisfy your cravings for Indian food, this is the spot! Buffet offers great choices and at an unbeatable price to boot! Did I already say that this place is super clean??? O much greatness units repeat myself.

Excellent neighborhood Indian restaurant. Prices are good and the potions are nice. They have very lively flavors and always the right level of spicy. There is also a buffet for lunch everyday. One of my favorite and definitely the best chicken tikka masala I have had.

Saag paneer was amazing: Large chunks of cheese, perfectly creamed spinach, and just the right amount of spice. Chicken jalfrezi was good, and went well with the rice and buttered naan. Chicken tikka masala was very tasty, the sauce was amazing. Not as spicy as most, but everything still tasted great. The only issue was with the water. Seriously, I’ve never had water that still tasted bad enough to be a problem after adding a lemon wedge; much less squirting two into the glass. Next time I’ll just get a soda.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a few months, and I just happened to be in the area one day, so I decided today was the day. I was expecting the place to be a bit more casual, but it was nice, clean and not overly fancy either. The weekend lunch buffet was very affordable, and while they didn’t have a massive selection of food to choose from, most everything on the buffet was really good. They had like 4 chicken dishes, 1 goat and 1 fish on the day I came. Their naan was really delicious, as I got to try both the regular and garlic naan. Service was very attentive and they remove your dirty plate each time you step back up to the buffet line for another helping, ensuring your table don’t get crowded with dirty dishes. Restrooms were modern and very clean.

This is our first time at this restaurant and we are very glad we made the decision to try it out. My husband loves really spicy food and ordered the chicken vindaloo. I chose the eggplant bharta because I’m not much of a meat-eater. Both were very flavorful and delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly, checking on us often. We will definitely come back, hopefully when they have the buffet so we can try more items.

Wow the food was awesome. It was my first time there it was busy, but the staffs were attentive. Great food.Everything was what I expected. Will be back soon to eat their garlic naan, chicken vindal and off course saag paneer.

Heaven help me… I just moved to the area and we stumbled onto this restaurant looking for an indian-food fix. A few bites in and I knew it wasn’t a good thing to have food like that so close to where I live. Their naan is rocking, their buffet is small but very quality, price is perfectly reasonable, and their service is outstanding. Also, on a random note, «mushroom masala»… is that a thing or did they invent that? Whatever the case, it was delicious…

Came here on a whim with friends after having some fun shooting at Athena’s. I saw all of the great reviews and decided to come, and I wasn’t disappointed! The restaurant was easy to find, plenty of parking, and we were seated quickly. We were the first in the restaurant for dinner so we had the wait staff all to ourselves. Needless to say, the service was great. I ordered the yellow chicken curry with nan bread for dinner and samosas for an appetizer. Everything was delicious! I would definitley come back, even though it’s a drive for me it’s well worth it.

Such an awesome and delicious place! The food here tastes so authentic! Good atmosphere and really nice people. I really liked the ambiance in here too. I ordered the murgh chicken appetizer and it tasted awesome! Their chili lime sauce is very good with their crackers. Also ordered the Vindaloo lamb* and chicken jalfrezi with Naan bread and that was delicious! The flavors you taste from each dish is amazing. For an Asian I’m used to alot of different flavor profiles so this was spot on! The staff is very friendly as well so that’s a plus!

I cannot express how amazingly delicious this place is! I really can’t stop thinking about it! The chicken tikka is so good! The rice is tasty, the naan is buttery and so flavorful, the two appetizers we got(I don’t know the Indian names), but they were fried goat cheese with a mint chutney filling and then a potato cake with chick peas, OMG guys it’s all so good! We also tried the lamb chops and they were perfection!!! I’ve been for the Buffett as well and have no idea what all I ate, but man it was all good! Seriously, if you want the best, go here, now… like seriously, GO!!!

When I was in Houston for 24 hours, my friends brought me here for dinner. As they are from India, I’m guessing they know where the best food is. We were here for dinner and ordered a variety of items from the menu. Of course, I couldn’t resist having navrattan korma(my favorite). And we sampled a variety of other dishes too. So much so that I ate myself into a stupor… and I was flying internationally the next day. Oops. Love that they offer online ordering for take out or delivery. Man. I wish they were closer to home.

Being Christmas day we knew there weren’t going to be too many places open today. My brother Unilocal’d potential lunch spots since my mother suggested Indian food and Signature India Restaurant came up. I’m not sure what it’d be like on a non holiday, but parking was aplenty, and although relatively busy, this typical casual style Indian restaurant wasn’t packed so there was no wait. As soon as we walked in we were immediately attended to and brought to our table. Knowing we had come here for an Indian buffet, the setting is very typical. You line up, take your plate, and serve yourself whatever your heart desires at the buffet section. Garlic or plain naan bread comes with the meal and is brought out fresh out of the oven in the kitchen. I have tried many Indian buffets, especially from the SF bay area where Indian buffets are very popular. I must admit that the quality of the curries, tandoori chicken, and freshly made naan bread were very good… I particularly liked the saag paneer(pureed spinach and cheese) and the chicken kebabs. I had these at a another very popular bay area Indian restaurant a few weeks ago and the chicken kebabs was dry and the saag paneer runny. This place was WAY better… and really yummy. For my drink I ordered a mango lassi… it was good and very refreshing… and helped to calm the spiciness of the food. Service was very good… for example, although the naan bread was already perfectly baked hot and fluffy, the server was nice enough to arrange an additional basket of naan bread baked a little crispier, at my mother’s request. I was also impressed by the very reasonable price of the buffet… especially when compared to the SF bay area where it’s at least 10−20% more.

Great food. It’s a little on the pricer side particularly when you get take-out. The dishes don’t come with rice but it is very delicious. I just make my own rice when I’ve ordered.

So I love a good buffet, and I love indian food, and I love it when I can find a place that serves both for an affordable price. This isn’t it the greatest location, but maybe that why I haven’t discovered until now … well my uncle told me haha. You go in and they seat you, and the awesome thing is they deliver out fresh naan, but the best part … GARLICNAAN!!! the food is your typical Indian buffet selections, rice, tandoori chicken, chicken masala, they had lamb curry, fish curry, a nice tofu/cheese dish, some awesome vegetable curries, chicken kabab, and some fried vegetables. I think this place beats out naseeb for my goto for an indian buffet. !

I was craving Indian and was in route to go anywhere in City because of my drive back passed everything. So started searching for the best. And clearly I have found it. Well done Customer service wonderful Naan delicious Tikka unmmmmmmmmmmm Rice pudding. Spectacular I judge by the rice pudding and it is the best. They put pistachio crumbles which I bring sometime to restaurants to enhance the rice pudding. Thank you

We came for the lunch buffet. — Everything was very flavorful. All the dishes were so aromatic. Some of our favorites were the tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, saag paneer, basmati rice, chicken kebobs, and goat curry. — Naan includes regular/plain and garlic. It was a little thinner that expected, but it was all fresh, crispy, and buttery. — None of the dishes were insanely spicy, which could be a good or bad thing for some. It’s nice for those who can’t handle very spicy food in general though. — While understanding the naan is fresh, it is a bit of a wait(considering we had a table of three people with four pieces of naan per basket). It is worth the wait though. We were so full by the end of our meal that we didn’t have the chance to try any of the sweets and desserts. Definitely a solid place for Indian food, especially for the location and price(for a buffet).

We visited based on the overall good reviews and we’re not disappointed. The food was very fresh, the temperature was perfect, and the flavors were delicious. We had the Signature Grill, and everything about it was excellent. The only negative thing I could say is that the service was pretty slow, but given the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff, I didn’t mind so much.

I think I found my new Indian go-to spot. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was standard Indian-American fare. Good variety. Vegetarian options. Price was just right. What more could you ask for? Oh, a daily lunch buffet? Yes, they have that too! 11 – 2:30pm every day. The naan is complimentary and comes in garlic or plain variety. It’s light and slightly flaky, buttery and delicious– and I generally don’t like bread. The butter chicken was perfect(no grisly bits), the goat curry was flavorful. The eggplant dish was great. The yogurt was tasty and more importantly it was thick(I’ve never enjoyed the runny yogurt that’s commonly found at Indian restaurants). The food wasn’t very spicy, but I saw some hot sauces/chutneys that I’ll try next time. I finished my meal with an excellent cup of masala chai. Definitely will be returning.

Went a couple weeks ago for dinner. Service was attentive. Food was just ok. We ordered some naan, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and rice. Naan was good, saag paneer was also tasty and it’s portion was good. As for the chicken tikka masala, there were only a few cubes of meat with mostly sauce. It was too tangy for my liking. It tasted too much of tomato and was not as creamy as I am used to. Also the food was not spicy as all. I wished they had options for spice levels. Oh and my gripe about Indian restaurants in General is that most do not include rice with the dishes which is odd. I mean who eats just chicken tikka masala etc by itself? It’s like going to Chinese restaurant and getting Kung pao chicken and having to pay for rice. Well that fact didn’t affect my rating here. Not sure if I will be coming back.

I LOVEINDIANFOOD. My bf and I were inspired by a Gordon Ramsey show on Netflix(ha!) to venture out and try cuisines of other cultures. I grew up eating filipino food and my bf has had german food(but hates it). We loved the way he raved about indian food, and apparently, indian curry is popular in London. ANYWAYS, we decided to find the best rated indian restaurant in our proximity, and Unilocal led us to this restaurant. This a cute little restaurant that sits in a little strip next to the best buy on westheimer. Inside, we were greeted warmly, and the customer service just continued to get better thoughout the night. There was a party of indians there as well, and I told my boyfriend that if people of the culture are eating at the restaurant, that’s definitely a good sign. I’m filipino and haven’t found a filipino restaurant where I would spend my friday night at, just FYI. For dinner, we got the chicken tikka masala and the lamb masala with no spice and got naan and rice for an extra charge to share. I was worried the lamb was gonna taste too«lamb-y» like gyro but I was shocked that it didn’t. I actually liked the lamb masala more than the chicken. We stuffed ourselves and wiped the plates clean. At the end of the meal they gave us a hot moist towel to wipe our hands with. Everyone was so nice and attentive to us, we are excited to try more indian food. I want to come back and try the lunch buffet if I ever get the chance.

Great service! Great food! I came here after reading reviews on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. We were quickly greeted and served water. Their menu is pretty extensive, so we ordered samosas, Tikka Masala, and kashmir chicken which was recommended by our server. It was delicious! I do feel like it could have been spicier but I did tell them no when they offered twice if we wanted some onions and chili mixture to add on it. I must say what really stood out the most was the service. They let us know about the different plates, their sauces, their buffet, etc Great food and great service! Will definitely go back.

COMEHEREFORLUNCH, NOTDINNER. I came here based off of Unilocal reviews and I was quite disappointed. I would come back here for lunch, but dinner is pretty overpriced. Food: –Naan: Superb. Fresh and buttery just the way I like it. –Butter Chicken: Delicious. Would definitely recommend this. Slices of chicken in a creamy tomato sauce with tons of flavor. –Chicken Kahsmiri: Butter chicken was better even though the waitress raved that this sauce was the best. Eh, not really. Service: –They checked on us several times and filled my water so much I could never drink the whole thing haha. At the same time, there was only one other table there that night so they were extremely attentive. We got asked about 5x or more if everything was okay. Yes, yes, everything is great. Why 2 Stars? –When the waitress took our order she asked if we wanted rice. Um, of course we want rice with our dishes. Who doesn’t eat rice with butter chicken?! Anywho, the rice came out with peas in it, but I thought it was just how their rice was. When my friend and I got our check, they charged us $ 5 for rice because the waitress charged us for Matar Pulao(rice with peas). When I brought it to a different waiter’s attention since the waitress was in the back, all he said was sorry. I was asked if I wanted rice, not rice with peas! That’s like ordering rice at a Chinese Restaurant and they bring out fried rice. Next time I suggest let your customers know they’re ordering rice with peas and not assume that if they want rice, they want rice with peas.

I was getting a little tired of the Indian restaurants near me so I decided to try Signature India and I’m glad I did. The items I’ve tried were very good. The tandoori chicken and naan are fantastic. The biryani is pretty good, but I felt like it was missing something. Maybe raisins. I like my biryani with raisins. I was a little weirded out by the fact that it had green and red peppers. I’ve never seen that before and I started to pick it out of the rice but once I tried it, it was fine. I like that their chicken is cut into smaller bite size pieces as opposed to the big chunks of chicken most Indian restaurants put in their food. The included raita really took the biryani to another level. Their chicken tikka masala is delicious as well. The people working here were very friendly and polite. I felt welcomed and that’s always a plus in an establishment. They gave me complimentary kheer and I LOVED it. It tasted different somehow but that’s a positive when most Indian places have the same exact kheer. And it had raisins. What can I say? I love raisins. One thing that irked me is that they do not provide rice with the curries. You have to pay for it separately. That bothers me because most Indian places give complimentary rice. The food is above average but I don’t know if it’s worth paying extra for what I could get elsewhere.

Hands down, one of the best naan breads I have ever eaten! And the rest of the good is great too! Although I have only ventured into a couple of Indian restaurants, Signature India will definitely be one of my favorites. In fact, I already think it is better than the upscale Indika and I only went to the lunch buffet. Personal opinion of course. When you walk in for lunch, you’ll notice a small lunch buffet set-up. Even though it may not look like an impressive amount of options, you’ll find that the quality of what they do have is great! I love saag and they definitely do it right here. Like I said above, their naan is to die for. It is the perfect amount of crispy and soft. Also, the price is very reasonable. It will be about $ 11. One of the must try dishes is also the goat curry! The goat is so tender and flavorful. You won’t be disappointed if you are a fan of gamey meats. I will definitely be back to this restaurant for lunch! And I suggest that you try it out as well. I am pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.
