Do you know how many weeks I had to wait to write this review so I could be objective as possible?! Just reading the reviews before I visited this place for the first time exercised all of my objective, optimistic power, but my experience here should teach you to trust the Unilocal Squad! I came here after a long day of being on my feet with a headache. All I wanted was a sandwich and a bed. I actually parked my car and looked at the reviews for this Subway before entering. From what I remember, the reviews blamed the service on the high schoolers who worked here. «Well, they are in high school, so this is probably their first job,» I contemplated to myself, «Let me give this place a chance… looks nice on the outside… it can’t be that bad.» Truly, the interior and exterior of this Subway are pretty spick and span – and the owners want to keep it that way by posting a sign that’s states no students are allowed in the store unless they’re customers. Sidenote: The owners should have said premises because the students stand outside instead of inside – hahaha, but that’s another issue. When I entered, my impressions of the inside changed when I saw an employee(do we call them sandwich makers)? playing kissy face with some girl. Eeeew. You’re at work. When I entered, the girl sat down in the corner for a minute while her boo/boyfriend my sandwich maker put on gloves. I wanted to turn and walk out the door then, but something just made me want to give this place chance. I know… where were my brain cells that day??? The guy who made my sandwich was very polite and patient since I kept changing my mind on the bread and type of sandwich I wanted. Nobody was there but me, so it wasn’t a big deal to him – he seemed to have some knowledge of customer service. However, as he was making my sandwich, his girlfriend hopped out the corner and was begging for chips from the other crew members. They looked at my sandwich guy who must have been acting as the manager and he said okay. $ 1.10 for chips is not cheap and is not worth giving away at the cost of your job, but that’s none of my business. What is my business is that when I asked for a Subway Melt to be made, the guy forgot to out bacon on it. I knew this Unilocalers, but I didn’t want to say anything because I wasn’t for certain given my headache. After I paid for the sandwich and made it to my car and searched it online, I discovered my error. I didn’t really want Kissy Face Sandwich Guy making my sandwich anyway, so I decided to drive back to my side of town and go to that Subway to get the issue corrected. All another Subway told me was that I would have to deal with the original store. I was pissed off that I didn’t correct the situation at the original store, but even angrier when corporate gave me the run around for 10 minutes and dropped the call. It was then that I vowed I would never eat Subway again. I just wanted my money back at this point. Decided to call the original restaurant back to see if my issue could be resolved. Here is where my review REALLY begins on this restaurant because I honestly could have walked out when I saw the employee kissing his girl behind the counter… I could have brought the sandwich error to his attention and had it fixed when I was there, but it was when I called and some female was laughing on the business line like it was her house or cell phone and it took her almost a minute to stop that 4 stars became three for this place. When I asked to speak to the manager and the female responded that«They not here» several times to me made me make this three star review a one. Then when I threatened to call corporate if I didn’t speak to a manager SEVERALTIMES this place received negative 5 stars! When I stated to this naïve female that there MUST be a manager on site at all times and I needed to speak to that person NOW, that is when the phone was handed to someone else who was much more reasonable to talk to. I explained the situation and he assured me that I could get another sandwich made free of charge(well duh) at my convenience, just tell them I talked to «Jose.» I was a little suspicious of the name because there are a lot of people named Jose, but I was tired, so I let this fiasco go for the day. The next day after work, I went by Subway to resolve the matter once and for all. There was a female at the register whom I explained the situation to. She asked me who I talked to. When I stated Jose, she looked puzzled as if she never heard the name before. All I knew was that I was going to get my money back –even if I had to call and stay on hold with corporate all night! The female crew member asked the guy who fixed my sandwich yesterday(and whose girlfriend was sitting in the corner taking up space) to assist with the situation. He processed the refund without question, but I left feeling like I gave a place a chance and I got screwed. DONOTCOMEHERE! Simple as that!

Run by seemingly illiterate Chavez HS students. I asked for a menu item and they told me they no longer had it so I proceeded to list every ingredient in that sandwich and had to repeat myself like 4 times just so they could make it. The people working the counter seem to lack all common sense. Marinara sauce tastes off and bread is usually burnt. I live walking distance from this one but I’d rather get in the car and drive 5 minutes down the street to the Bellfort/45 location
