Stopped in during happy hour, and was happy to enjoy the $ 1.49 margheritas. The food taste pretty good here, love the steak fajitas and quesidilas. Service was prompt. Only negative was that it would be nice to have the staff a little more enthusiastic towards their customers. But on the plus side, the food was seriously tasty.

I’ve been eating at taco cabana since the early 80’s and always thought it was a great value for good food. I have been to 2 different locations in the last few weeks and I’m not happy. Cold beans and cheese enchiladas that are tough enough to break a plastic fork? I’m not going back for a while if ever, 45 minutes for the last wait and that’s enough

Stopped in here the other night while roaming the not so mean streets of Houston, hunting for that elusive dream within a dream. The service wasn’t great and there was something wrong with the drink dispenser. Yet, I needed some fast food tex-mex style and I paid for that willingly. Would I stop in here again? Only if I had to.

Its funny to think about how one franchise has single-handedly catapulted my taste for authentic Mexican food to the more refined sense it is today. When this location first opened, it was an event for the neighborhood: live music in the back patio, water flowing down the now-broken fountain, and the tortillas were THIN. This is something I have since learned about large tortillas: if they’re thicker than your front teeth, they are a mockery to their name. So thank you Taco C, for being there when I didn’t know any better.
