This place is as good as it gets when it comes to their handmade flour tacos. My friend and I come here almost every Friday for burritos and tacos. You can’t go wrong if you order the fajita tacos with the handmade flour tortillas. You have to specify that you want the handmade ones. They are the only taco place that will give you as many limes and as much salsa as you’d like. My friend and I spend quite a bit of time trying out different taco places, and this is by far the best. We’ve been to what are perceived to be the best taco places in Houston, and this one is a champion right alongside the greats! Tacos Tierra Caliente, Tacos La Bala, and this place all make the list of some of the best tacos in Houston. Half of the reason we come here is for Maria who takes the to-go orders. Aside from being beautiful, she is an absolute gem and keeps us coming back often. She offers great customer service and always greets you with a smile.

I like this place. My family and I are always so indecisive when it comes to choosing a place to go eat, but we can always rely on this place to be good. My parents love it because their fajita plate for two can basically feed all 5 of us lol Their service is always good and the staff is always friendly. I recently went with some friends on karaōke night Saturday. It took forever to get the chips and salsa, but it was a pretty busy night. The food was good and the only thing you should watch for is not to sit too close to the speakers on karaōke night because it will be very hard to get a conversation going.

I am not sure why this place were given some horrible reviews. My experience here was great. However, the restaurant was not busy possibly due to it being a Monday & the bad weather. Today, I decided to eat here due to the fact that I was in two hour plus traffic with my daughter, crazy weather, & I knew we were at least 30 minutes from our destination, & we were so hungry. Well, I’m glad I stopped here. Our waitress was very pleasant, & even though she spoke little English & spoke little Spanish, she was able to assist us some. When I had questions about the menu, she quickly found us some help. Both of the ladies were great & checked on us a few times. So I give the service an A+. Now the food. The chips & salsa was fresh & delicious. My daughter had the chicken fajita soft taco kids’ meal($ 4.99) with rice & retried beans. For her beverage, she had the lemonade. It tasted like fresh squeezed lemonade, so she really enjoyed that. I had the Tepatitlan Special for one($ 12.99). It was sizzling beef, chicken, & jumbo juicy shrimp fajitas, three flour tortillas with rice & beans. That was actually enough food for another person also. Everything was seasoned to perfection. The both of us absolutely enjoyed everything about our dish. We usually eat at Pappasito’s where the food is usually much higher. My daughter even said she enjoyed her meal better than the soft taco meal she usually gets at Pappasito’s & asked if we could come back. For all of the food we had, our bill was $ 21. Great for me & not far from home. I will most definitely be back to try their Happy Hour.

This place always hits the spot! It’s very affordable and the food is tasty and the drinks are pretty good. Can’t go wrong with the chicken fajitas! Two of my favorites are the tacos de chicharrón and the enchiladas de mole with chicken fajita! I’m pretty picky at some things and I don’t like fat or tiny bones in my enchilada chicken so better safe than sorry!

The con queso was a bit watery and not my favorite. The atmosphere is great in the evening and a great place to head to for drinks after work. The food was okay not what I expected, but then again this is Houston.

— Overall this is decent Mex or Tex-Mex place at best. — Margaritas are ok, not too bad for the price unless you goto happy hour where they would be considered cheap. — Best item on the menu for me was the Cocktail De Camaron(Mexican Shrimp Cocktail). The sauce used was just right and not too overwhelming. — The lemonade was good, claimed to be freshly squeezed and tasted like it was. — Staff was friendly and polite. Nothing extraordinary to mention about.

We don’t make it to this side of town very often, but we really enjoyed eating here last time. Something has changed since then; it tastes like prepackaged food. The nachos were OK, but that’s something most Mexican restaurants do really well, and mine tasted like cheese microwaved over chips. Overall we were both really disappointed because they used to be SOMUCH better. I presume they lost their old chef. Bring him back…

About once a week me and my family would drive to south west for tepatiplans fajita! The fajita tasted diff then anyone’s else’s! We went two times a few weeks ago and everything has changed they’re stingy on the amount, the fajita isn’t the same and the waitress’s only help out older men who look like they have money. I would now recommend

My review is for night shift. This place used to be good but recently is gone down hill. this is a taqueria not a Mexican restaurant like it states so is cheaper typical Mexican american plates and tacos. the happy hour end early not many specials any way. If you are hungry needs something to fill you up w/o waiting, dont want to cook something and a budget go ahead but not worth going for a nice dinner make it home Instead.
