Delicious tacos ! Really good service. Went on a Saturday night. The staff was friendly. An employee even offered to take a picture of my family without us asking him to. Everything was really nice for my first night in Houston. Overall, the salsas, tacos, and even the smell was authentic. It reminded me of Mexico.

It’s just a Taco joint! Some of these Unilocalers are ridiculous! What you see is what you get, it’s not fancy, just good food. The Aransas special is very good. Every time I have been here the service is good, the food was fast and good and the prices are reasonable, what more can you ask for? It just tacos guys, get a grip!

If you want your food on dirty dishes and hairs in your food then come here! Plus they won’t even offer an apology or anything for not wearing hairnets like they are supposed to. And we are not talking about a eyebrow hair or a small piece of hair, it was an actual wad of loooong girls head hair, disgusting! Last time coming here.

Came here with the intention of going to a different taqueria on our way to the airport. I made the call and said lets just stop! And man oh man we were all glad we did! The chips are made in house hot and fresh, the salsa was delicious and the green sauce they give on the side is a little bland for my palette but it’s spicier, which I love. My husband had the fish tacos and a margarita on the rocks(1.99). He was so impressed with the freshness of the fish and loved the taste of the taco. And the margarita was delicious for 1.99 lol. Only thing he did not enjoy about the taco was it had some type of coleslaw in it and he hates coleslaw. My brother in law had the shrimp tacos and a bloody mary. He usually complains about not having a good Bloody Mary. He was pleasantly surprised on how on point the Bloody Mary was. He also enjoyed the fish tacos and loved the rice and refried beans. I had the parillada tacos with corn tortillas and refried beans. They were out of this world! I wish I had a place like this in jersey, we just can’t seem to find a place. The service was phenomenal we never had to ask for anything. The waitress brought it out before we asked for anything. If we needed a refill she was on it! They are predominantly Spanish speaking of that matters to anyone who like to come.

OmG. The breakfast tacos are to die for. I always order sausage egg and cheese. They are good sizes and the flour t. are never burnt. I think this place is one of the best in the se houston areas.

I get the certain location stay to start because although the food from on on those is always great specially the one that used to be by 59 and Gessner and the chips and salsa where to die for this particular location was very rude and barely even checked on those the chips and salsa were awful and honestly I hate bad I live so far away from the other location because I don’t get to go to Arandas as often as I used to. I love this restaurant but I really think that no one should base the food experience on this particular location.

At 2 in the morning this is one of the best Mexican food places around. I’m really not quite sure where this place gets some bad reviews but I never had a bad experience here. The food is good, cheap and it comes out really fast so what’s to complain about? Everytime I come here I’m pretty much starving and go nuts on the chips and salsa. Sometimes I even get an appetizer but that’s a little pushing it. For my main course it’s really hard to say no to the California burrito. This thing is so big it looks like a baby wrapped up in a blanket. If you can finish the whole thing you’re really going to sleep good that night. If you’re low on funds and want and nice decent Mexican meal I would recommend this spot to anybody.

We are giving them 1 star because it would not let me input my review with 0 stars. Because our industry is entertainment, we visit this location very late at night. We have seen the quality of this place go down steadily over the last few years. But, tonight actually made us want to come home and post this review at 2:59 a.m. We order taquitos(5). Two were supposed to be tongue and 3 were supposed to be pastor(pork). The pork was sour and cold, so even tasting the tongue ones was out of the question. We sent them back to be replaced with all beef fajita. Those came out stone cold. After trying to eat two, we sent those back as well. We are pretty sure they were the exact same tacos but microwaved. Hence, they were only warm(not hot) on the surface. The grilled jalapeño and onions were refrigerator cold! Needless to say, this was our absolute last time going to this place! Stay away!

This was a disaster lunch. Food was just terrible, i ordered two beef and two chicken tacos. Both were filled with oily toritias and old lettuce and tomatoes. chicken was dry and tasteless. I fell nasty till midnight. The food is gross and greasy. Dont try it, its a shame to be mexican food.

Any body who says the food at Arandas is bland has had too much corporate Mexican food. My tacos al carbon were all meat no bone or fat soft and chewy with a chili that will kick your ass. Those frijoles del olla were to die for with shreds of bacon.

The taco truck on Edgebrook is actually better than the restaurant, IMO. Their tacos al pastor are really nice, and at $ 1/each, the price can’t be beat. Definitely worth a stop for a late night snack(located in the Arandas Bakery parking lot).

Tried the fajitas here as I always do when I go to a new mexican place. Not a good choice, tough and greasy. Sides were bland and tasteless as were the chips and salsa. With all the choices in the area, you can do better.

One of my favorite Mexican food places in Houston. In the top 3 places to get a burrito if you ask me as well. The California Burrito(Which oddly enough I can’t get in California) is incredible. Bring your appetite if you’re going to tackle this big boy. It’s stuffed with whatever you want. I get Carne Asada, Rice, Beans, sour cream, and cheese. They don’t skimp on the ingredients either. The service is really great too, I’ve never had a problem getting refills time after time. The price is great as well.

Keep it simple. Food here is gross, unless ya keep it simple. Simple = tacos, tortas and shakes. Their food has waaaay too much grease! And the taste isn’t all great.

For me, a lover of cheap mexican, it doesn’t get any better than Taqueria Arandas. I stick to the basics such as tacos & burritos — but have strayed at times and have always enjoyed everything. –good service –if you eat simple you can eat for less than $ 4 –great salsa

This Arandas location(I-45 S near Edgebrook) is a frequent stop for us on the weekend. The Caldo de Res(beef soup with vegetables) is my only menu choice. The broth is the star of the soup, always seasoned just right. Vegetables(carrots, cabbage, potatos, chayote, squash, corn on the cob) aren’t as plentiful as they would be if you had served yourself, but the amount you are served is more than enough. I usually don’t eat much of the meat(beef shank), but what I do eat is very tender. The caldo is served with Mexican rice, onions, cilantro and lime(on the side — you decide how much of each you would like to add). For me, the lime juice adds the perfect flavoring. Your choice of corn or flour tortillas are also offered. I usually order a diet Coke with lime as the beverage to go with my soup, but sometimes I’ll go for the michilada(some call it red beer) — beer added to a bloody mary type mixture. Arandas michilada is a little spicy, but it goes down good. I should expand my horizons and order something different next time we visit Arandas, but I know I won’t. The caldo is the reason I go there.
