Used to love this place but 6 drinks was over 40.00, dayum yall no show, no thrill. Sorry Grey..

Came here while visiting family. Went to The Bayou first and was so disappointed, frustrated and depressed there that my family and friends recommended TC’s. OMGoodGosh what a difference! It’s not a big as Bayou but the entertainment and Larry along with the pleasant staff and patrons made it worth the walk across the street. Had a great time and recommend this place.

Place to good to go to relax and chill. Have the longest happy hour in montrose til 10p everyday! Drag shows 6 nights a week and karaōke the 7^th. Bartenders are welcoming every customer! I’ll recommend this bar to anyone!

We had another great night at TC’s. The entertainers are always great and friendly. The bartenders made our drinks perfectly and made us feel welcome. I have such great respect for Alexis Nicole Whitney — there is a story worth hearing. The be legally blind and so engaging with the crowd. Kuddos to the entire staff.

Drag show is a real drag. A bunch of men with Bad make-​up. Other than that the $ 1.50 vodka tastes like moon shine liquor. But over all its a crazy time/​place

Standard dive bar– pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon. Pool table and a nice patio.
CHECKIN SCAM! Visiting Houston and took 4 of my straight friends to the bar. Showed the Bartender George the checkin offer of «buy one top shelf drink/​beer get one free», I asked him for 2 vodka redbulls and he poured them and then told us «actually the checkin is for frozen drinks only». Instead of honoring his word and the Unilocal details, he insisted on charging us for the grey goose drinks. To avoid arguing, my friend gave in and paid for both.
My loss: $ 7
Their loss: Integrity, 5 customers and a pleasant Unilocal review.

No star’s. .but I guess I have to give one. This place has a cop that harassed me and some friends. We wr outside waiting on a friend to leave the place. When this office. Short African /​bald head comes out no where and tells us to leave. We said we wr waiting for a friend so he started telling us that we need to leave the parking lot if not he was gonna arrest us. He pulled one of my friends and told me and one other friend to move to the side. So I said that it was illegal on what he was doing. Than he approach me and started using the words. Smart ass and dumass towards me and took my I. d and asked me to turned around that he was gonna arrest me for being a smart ass. Wich he than turned me around and asked his partner to run my id. Than said that we wr gonna scratch a truck that was parked there. Wich we wr not even close to it. And started saying just random stupid shit that we wr doing and continue to cuz Mr out. He violated my rights. He need to no longer work for this bar. What he did was illegally wrong. Be careful to those who go there. Nothing against the bar .I spoke to the owner and hope he does something about this. That cop needs to get fired and get a different job. And if he reads this. You know what u did was wrong and u are the dumass.

Not a bad little chill spot to see a drag show, have a drink or two or three and hang with friends… The host is awesome… shes funny and despite her visual impairment knows how to get across that stage and interact with the crowd… now this definitely is not the best drag show that I have seen but its not the worst… Unilocal had a check in offer buy one top shelf drink get one free (beware top shelf vodka is Taaka. ummmm thats a negative grasshopper, that is not on my top shelf list but i digress)…i would definitely return, not a bad spot

Friendly happy place I heard the long islands are amazing. This place has really changed from what it used to be it’s now bigger and better then ever. You have to respect a place that has been lasting at it’s location for years. Really says a lot about the business.

Friendly place from the establishment to the patrons. Service was spot on and performers were top notch. Alexis Nicole Whitney was an awesome emcee. We laughed all night long. She is friendly too. Spoke with her before the show for a while.

I was born on May 7, 1976 in San Antonio. Although born in San Antonio, I now live and reside in Houston and call Houston home. I have been pursuing the art of female impersonation for 19 years. I have been visually impaired for 15 years and visually impaired meaning completely blind. During my career I have captured many city, state, local and national titles, some including Miss Unlimited, Miss TX Unlimited, Miss Tx EOY, Miss Oklahoma USofA, Miss Gulf Coast USofA at Large, Miss Dallas USofA, Miss Energy USofA, Miss Austin USofA, just to name a few. I am the Show Director here at TCs where I have been employed 3 years. I work 5 nights a week and you can catch me as your hostess and emcee every weekend. Hollywood restaurant is open after bar close and is one block away. Perfect place to eat before hitting the road. Perfect night. We will be back often.

Cool place for drag shows. Honestly expected a nicer building though. Definitely somewhere to visit once if you live in Houston for your gay culture education haha. While you’re at it also check out ripcord for the opposite end of the gay fringe spectrum.

The friendliest bar in Montrose. They have one of the best shows on Friday and Saturday. They also have Karaōke every Monday and Wednesday. The host and MC Alexis Nicole Whitney is hilarious and over the top which is expected considering it’s a Drag Show. It’s a go-​to place for birthdays and celebrations. The best day to go to TC’s is Wednesday because you have both a drag show and karaōke! They also have an outdoor patio and bar and during Houston Texans Game Days, they usually have hot dogs and food with your beer/​drink.
They also were noted in «Event You Can’t Miss» in the #9 Gayborhood in the World!

Somewhere between the high energy of the club scene and the laid-​back comfort of the bar scene, you’ll find TC’s and its amazing drag show. I went on a Friday night with three of my boys in tow, and had one of the best times in a long, looong time.
The show is MCed by the beautiful Alexis N. Whitney, a tall Latina brunette who was tragically left blind due to an illness many years ago. But despite it all, this lady’s got the best attitude and highest spirits, and it transmits throughout the room. Homegirl is hilarious. Likewise, all the ladies taking the stage turn up the heat with awesome dance moves and lip-​sync performances.
The bartender that I came across wasn’t too friendly, but they have a Unilocal check-​in deal (buy one frozen bev, get one FREE) that made up for it. Get the mango margarita! No cover, everyone’s welcome, friendly crowd … TC’s is a must.
(Only con for me was the ladies room. It was fine in the beginning, but towards the end of the night it was one hot, stinky mess. Avoid.)

If you haven’t been to a drag show before, you definitely should. One of my girlfriends took me, and we had a blast. Some of those sensational queens, have hotter bodies than I’ve seen on most women these days so kudos. Plus everyone is super friendly. I hope to take a group of friends including my beau back more sooner than later.

TC’s calls itself Houston’s Première Showbar for good reason… they are. You won’t go anywhere else on any given night and have a better time than at TC’s. The performers are always dynamic, beautiful and vivacious. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the drink prices are cheap. Also… no cover charge– it can’t get any better than TC’s.

TCs is a really great place to take in a live show and enjoy some great drinks. The staff is very courteous with a big smile. At one time this bar was known for the type of «Trash» for customers that frequent the place. But Tim, the new owner and Rod, the new General Manager has really cleaned up the place creating an atmosphere for all to enjoy. Adrian the new show director has assembled a great group of entertainers to keep you on the edge of your seats the entire night. Great Job TCs.

Well, now that I’ve become a «regular» at TC’s…I really like the atmosphere there, and I love the staff — most of them anyway. I really enjoy hanging out & just having a good time. Also… since I love to sing… Karaōke every Monday & Wednesday is alot of fun too.

My girlfriends and I went for a bachelorette celebration and had a wonderful time. The management and bartenders were extremely friendly – we were set up with prime seating for the show, and we had no shortage of drinks and service. The entertainment was excellent – I loved the choice of songs – perfect for ladies’ night out. Even the entertainers would come chat with us and make sure we were having fun on their breaks. I can’t imagine a more friendly, open, and unpretentious place for a special celebration. It was perfect.
